I was quite impressed! (Jason, in particular, who provided the service for the siding was great!) I was equally impressed with the service that Country Financial (Randy and Bob) provided for this project as I was with Paul Wellnitz (Twin City Roofing). All in all - I am very satisfied . . . . . provided there are no surprises. I would recommend Twin City Roofing to anyone for all of their remodeling specialties!

I highly recommend everyone stay away from TCR. TL;DR several roofing installation mistakes made,…read moresevere lack of communication from TCR throughout the entire process, and I was asked to write a review before work even began - red flag. After getting roof replacement quotes from 5 different companies, I decided to go with the second to cheapest option - which was Twin City Roofing. And of course, I got what I paid for. The problems began after I signed the quote and handed over the deposit check. I live next to a day care and young children play outside all of the time. Paul, the project manager that was working with me, suggested they perform all of the work on the 4th of July week since kids likely wouldn't be at the day care then. I arranged with my neighbor to not have kids there that week. A few weeks go by and I didn't hear from Paul or anyone else at TCR. The Friday before the 4th of July week, I reached out to Paul to find out when they would be coming and he said "Next week I believe". Then on Monday when no one arrived, I reached out to Paul again. He responded by saying he was on vacation and that Robert P. in the production office could help. I reached out to Robert and he said "I can tell you it won't be this week." Obviously I was unhappy that the roof wasn't going to be replaced that week but I was more upset with the lack of communication throughout the process. It should not be on the client to have to contact the company multiple times to try to get answers. Nonetheless, when the roofers came to replace the roof on my house, garage and shed, they came unannounced. The concerning issues came from work on the roofs. The shingles on the ridge of my shed transitioned from shingles that are meant to be put on ridges to what look like starter shingles. It is very obvious this is not correct. And on my garage, there is a full 15" of a starter shingle that is literally just hanging from the edge of my roof. How did this get missed?? And the biggest issue is with the flat roofs on my house. I asked all of the appropriate questions to Paul from the outset to make sure that there would be grading on the flat roofs such that all of the water would flow to the spout and drain. Alas, a few days after the work was complete, we got our first rain storm and I saw water pooling along the edges of the flat roof and heavy pooling in one corner. I contacted TCR on July 14th and sent pictures of all of these issues. I didn't get a response so I sent a second email on 7/20. I finally got a response from Tyler and he asked me when would be a good time the following day for him to check out my issues. I responded with a time in the morning. I then didn't hear back from him and he did not show up the next day. I was later contacted by Robert and he said he was working on a game plan on getting my issues addressed. Five days later (7/26), he sent another email saying he would have a game plan the following day and he would let me know. As you can imagine, I did not hear from him on 7/27. I emailed Robert again on 7/28 with no response. Finally on 8/9, Tyler came out to my house to take pictures of my concerns. He agreed that all of them need to be addressed. He said he would let me know soon what the next steps would be. I have not heard from him since. I emailed Robert on 8/16 telling him Tyler came out to my house and that I was looking for more information when the fixes can occur. I have not heard from TCR since - at all. I should have known from the get go something was off because after I gave Paul the deposit check, he asked me to write a good review of his efforts to boost the company. I was certainly not going to write a review for services that had not yet begun. If you do go with TCR, make sure to pay as little as possible up front so they have to come back and fix issues before they get their full payment.

As they were attaching the gutters and downspouts I noticed that the installer was wiping down the sections with a rag to make sure they were clean, indicating a focus on the details. I also noticed the installers were using a small level in the gutter to ensure the proper pitch before attaching the gutter to the house. The clean up after installation left my property spotless. No screws, aluminum shards or shingle pebbles. Needless to say, Trinity Exteriors has earned my highest endorsement.

Adriaan came to our home the next day and gave us an estimate quickly. We were very comfortable with him. Instead of feeling like he wanted to sell us something, we felt like he was genuine in his efforts to help us. He came to our home several times during the project to make sure it started, was progressing, and finished properly. The crew did a great job! They were very meticulous, took care of our property, and cleaned up when they left. Deck is gone....not a sliver left in our yard! Patrick delivered the dumpster the day before and took it away the next morning on a Saturday! I regret hiring them to build a screened in porch…read more The quality of work is poor. Parts of the construction are failing less than two years after construction. The roof already leaks and they say they'll try to fix it if we sign a new contract with them. They say it's ice dams but cannot explain why the leaks occurred when there was neither ice nor snow near the seam they say is leaking. The exterior door repeatedly sagged and could not be opened. They came out to fix the door this summer (after many phone calls over a period of months) and nailed a big plywood board over the screen door to strengthen it - that's the permanent solution. The current door and frame are still both visibly crooked. It looks completely unprofessional and we feel like we're going to need to hire another professional to have the door reframed and replaced. The porch was not built according to the original agreement. We paid for helical screw pilings, but Miller Construction switched to cheaper concrete pilings without any notification, did not offer a refund for the difference in cost, and would not talk to us during construction to discuss the situation despite repeated requests. We paid for insulation throughout the addition, but the building was not framed to allow space for insulation in many sections of the room, so we have an addition that is only partially insulated. The communication with Miller Construction has always been poor. We've had multiple promises to call or come out to look at the various issues, but the promises are rarely kept. For the first few months after contracting with us, communication was so lacking we seriously questioned whether the company had run off with the initial payment. They hadn't, but they didn't reach out to us until months later when a crew showed up at the house unannounced. I wouldn't hire them again.

I would not recommend this company to anyone! Twin City Homeworks, LLC (TCHW) was recommended to me…read moreby my insurance agency to replace my roof due to storm damage. I also decided to hire them to replace my siding due to woodpecker damage. I thought it would be easier to have one company do both jobs. On their website they state that they maintain contact with their customers and I have found this to be untrue! Many times it was 2+ weeks after contacting the representative I was working with before I got any response from him either by phone or text, and at least twice I had to call the office before I got any response. This is BAD customer service and communication skills. They got approval from my insurance company and started work on the roof in June, 2018 and I paid them and they started work on the siding in August, 2018. As of today, September 4, 2019, neither job is completed, although they have sent me multiple final invoices asking for final payment. When I saw the initial invoices, I noticed a few items being double-billed (i.e. painting of fascia & soffit on roof job, replacement of fascia & soffit for siding, wrapping of 2 windows on roof claim, replacement of all window wrapping on siding job, etc...). I was told it would be straightened out. When I received the final invoices in October, 2018 those items were still being double-billed I had to go to the main office to get it straightened out myself. I went to the City to check on the inspections because I had not seen an inspector and I found out inspections had NOT been requested and the $100 permit that I paid for to do the siding had not been taken out by TWCH. The inspection for the siding was done January 4, 2019 and for the roof in June, 2019. Neither one passed. The City Inspector is requiring one correction for each job. I have spoken to 3 representatives from TCHW multiple times since January about the correction needed for the siding and a correction I have requested and no one has made any attempt to do any corrections required or requested. Hire this company if you want no communication, BAD customer service and a never completed job. Otherwise look elsewhere!

SMA Exteriors redid my roof in 2024 after a hail storm. In 2025 I discovered water leaking into my…read moregarage where the roof and gutter meet the wall. Turns out they never installed a kickout flashing/bump out in that spot. When I called, they came back and added it for free, but told me there "wasn't one there before" when they did the roof. To me that admits they knew it should have been there. Kickout flashing costs cents and is basic code/best practice to prevent water intrusion. Because it was missing, water ran behind the siding and rotted the wall sheathing. I had to tear off drywall in the garage and found the damage. When I asked SMA to help, they said it's not covered under warranty and isn't their fault. Their reasoning was the damage is "old" because there was never flashing there originally. My response: if the job was done correctly in 2024, we wouldn't be debating old vs new damage. I didn't open the wall until a year after their work, and the sheeting was rotten underneath. I spoke with owner Steve. He said, "we can agree to disagree" and that they aren't willing to help. When I asked why his crews or project manager missed this, he said they notice and add kickouts now, but "must not have known to add them before." Meanwhile my garage has water damage from work they did, and they aren't concerned with helping a past client. To make it worse, this house was purchased from a friend. SMA tried to use that against me, implying they would've helped the previous owner but not me because "my name isn't on it." That's a terrible way to stand behind your work. I've read their responses to other bad reviews - lots of talk about how long they've been in business and how they "treat everyone right." Yet multiple people are saying the same thing: issues get denied and not fixed. Stuff happens in construction. The difference between a good company and a bad one is whether they fix mistakes they caused. The most ironic part: this is a company that will argue with insurance that damage isn't "old" when it benefits them, but the moment a homeowner questions them, suddenly everything is "old damage." Can't have it both ways. Plenty of honest roofers in the area who will actually fix their mistakes instead of walking away. Look elsewhere
