First, I want to say that the restoration team (the remediation team Armen and his crew, the remodel team, and Ruben) was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout this process, I want to give glowing reviews as they went above and beyond for me, with empathy, kindness, great work and great attitudes. When your home is under construction and chaotic, it's extremely stressful and you need a restoration team that has your back, is empathetic and willing to help. That is ER Emergency Restoration! I really appreciate their responsiveness and support, the whole team, including Ruben and Armen who communicated with me alot and reassured me on things I was concerned about. If we have any future work, I'd highly recommend working with them again and I hope Ruben and the ER team is who you'd call for future projects. I am so glad they were the team that fixed our units and they did such a great job with the remodel. True professionals. I will always call them if I ever need help again. 5 stars, 10/10 recommend them. Thank you so much ER Emergency Restoration team.

Ruben and his team arrived within an hour and immediately began water extraction and setting up drying equipment to prevent further damage. Since we had just upgraded our kitchen, we were extremely concerned about avoiding any irreversible damage. Thankfully, his team did an outstanding job preserving everything they could. They thoroughly documented the situation, took photos, and clearly explained what to expect with our insurance claim--something that was incredibly helpful during a stressful time. After confirming there was no remaining moisture in the ceiling cavity or surrounding areas, they went above and beyond by returning to cover the ceiling. This allowed us to continue using our kitchen without disruption or worrying about exposed debris. Because of their professionalism and attention to detail throughout the process, we didn't hesitate to hire them again for the rebuilding phase. Truly a great team--we feel very fortunate to have worked with them!

Tal came out daily to take new moisture readings and adjust the blower and dehumidifier setup. They patiently listened to and answered all of my questions. All areas are now dry and ready for repair. Based on my experience with them, I highly recommend Advanced Restoration & Construction! The company also helped me deal with my Progressive home insurance. Tal's office assisted me in communicating with them, filling out all the required forms and documents, and ensuring everything was handled smoothly. After seeing Tal and his team's level of care and professionalism during the mitigation process, I also decided to hire them for the repairs. They handled everything consistently, replacing the damaged drywall and baseboards, repainting and restoring the affected areas and bring them back to their original condition. Lime Green came in and did a fantastic job drying the water damage and documenting all of their work. David and Martin are extremely knowledgeable and professional, and have kept us up to date with their work as they went. Where they really shined has been in helping us deal with the insurance company. Mercury insurance (a terrible company), has spent the last week looking for every possible reason to deny us coverage. Thankfully, at every turn Lime Green has had appropriate documentation and evidence for their work. Not only that, but David has taken the time to walk me through the insurance process step by step, and has even gotten on the phone with the insurance adjuster and myself to fight for our claim. This service was truly above and beyond for what was a small job for Lime Green, but very important for us. Thanks to David and Martin for all their work with us, I couldn't recommend this company more.

The…read morecompany initially agreed that they would come to do a consultation and then provide us with an estimate for the mold removal, do the work, and then give us a 2nd estimate for the reconstruction. We had mold in the bathroom and the master bedroom and the mold smell was particularly horrible in the bedroom by the window. They opened up the bathroom ceiling as well as a chunk below our bedroom window. They removed mold from the bedroom window sill as well as part of the bathroom ceiling and the bottom of the bathroom cabinets. The bathroom mold was from condensation, from a lack of a ventilation system, and a prior leak under the sink. They stated that the bedroom mold was from condensation and that everything in the wall below the window was dry. But it was strange because during the consultation I was told that after they opened up the wall and removed the mold, that they would come back to test to see if there was somewhere outside that was letting water in through/near the window. When it came time to pick up the scrubber and dehumidifier, one of the staff came by and very quickly closed up shop and there was never any kind of test or inspection performed to see what might have been the problem with the window. After the mold removal process, we were offered a quote that forgot to include the ventilation system cost we had requested during the initial consultation for the bathroom. I reached out to ask for the quote to be amended to include the ventilation system cost. During this time the two reconstruction staff at the company happened to quit. I know that these things happen, but it was very unprofessional given that we were living without a full functioning bathroom. They ended up referring us to a general contractor who unfortunately did not work out. I ended up calling someone that had previously done work for me instead. He and one of his colleagues repaired the drywall and installed the ventilation. During the process, the contractor noticed the bedroom window jostled easily and wasn't sealed. While fixing the window he found a spot where water came pouring out of the wall. Evidently during the intense rain water was trickling in through the loose unsealed window. I mention this because LimeGreen did not bother to even look for the water source in the bedroom because they were understaffed. Why on earth did they not think to check if the window was stable in the spot that I told them we thought the mold was in? I don't know much about this but would expect an expert to know what to do to figure out the source of the problem. Instead they just removed a chunk underneath the window and chalked the problem up to condensation. They would have just boarded everything back up for water and mold to continue to grow in the wall. This company is affordable and I liked the professionalism from Martin, but if the owners are overworking/overextending their employees, they are going to be less likely to take the time to find the source of the water and just rush off to the next project.

How do you describe superheroes?…read more My family and our two Golden Retrievers are among the thousands of families displaced by the January 2025 fires in Los Angeles County. We, the victims, have been trying to navigate a situation that feels like the Wild West ever since. Government officials, specialists, experts, insurance professionals, and others who should know how to guide us are providing little clarity on the path to restoration and the next steps to returning home. Without Servpro of Hollywood Hills/Los Feliz, we would be lost without direction or help. Before sharing our experience, it's important to clarify that not all Servpro locations are alike. Each franchise operates independently, with different owners, leadership styles, work ethics, and team members. We've learned that it's essential to not only find the right company but also the right leader, project manager, supervisor, and team. Servpro of Hollywood Hills/Los Feliz has been nothing short of amazing. March 25th turned out to be an unexpectedly emotional day for our family. It followed a week of dedicated work by John Wilson and the Servpro team, who took the first steps to help restore our house and make it a home again. We are truly grateful for their outstanding service, proactive management, regular updates, and clear communication. They consistently deliver high-quality results, and we cannot thank them enough. Our two neighbors praised the team at ServePro of Hollywood Hills/Los Feliz, and from our initial conversation with John Gamburian, we quickly understood their enthusiasm. John G. projected a calm confidence that reassured us that he would manage the details, care for our home, and look after our family throughout the process.  During our initial walk-through with John G. and Liz, we felt a strong sense of understanding and empathy from both of them. We were confident we could trust them to restore safety to our home. John G. managed all aspects of the project efficiently and optimistically, from navigating the challenging communication with our insurance company to outlining the precise specifications needed for the work on our home. This was very reassuring. Meanwhile, Liz's grace, comfort, and genuine appreciation for the unique design and elements of our home provided additional solace. John G. was transparent about the company's current workload. He didn't make idealistic promises and instead provided a realistic timeline for when he could start our project. He asked us to be patient while he prepared a spot for our job in the queue, and he delivered on his commitments as promised. The start day arrived with great anticipation as we all looked forward to this moment. A large crew of over a dozen people was ready to begin, with John Wilson leading the way. John's exceptional service, attention to detail, and demonstration of patience, knowledge, and kindness were commendable. Throughout the chaotic week, he remembered the minor details; for instance, during the final walk-through, he took the time to arrange things I had briefly mentioned the week before. There was a sense of concern as we prepared for the pack-out of our most cherished items, which carried precious memories. However, we soon felt at ease watching the team handle our belongings with care and personal attention. John W. had the team operating like a well-oiled machine, which was a testament to their efficiency and professionalism. This left us feeling secure and confident in their abilities and our possessions' safety, a feeling that stayed with us throughout the restoration process. One particularly heartwarming moment we captured on our Ring Camera showed two workers walking away from our property with their arms resting around each other, like two gentlemen reflecting on a long, grueling day's work, grateful for each other's support. This display of camaraderie among the team members was a constant reminder that we were not alone in this journey. Trusting others can be challenging after experiencing a national disaster, but we found two true superheroes, John Gamburian and John Wilson. John G. guided us in understanding the bigger picture and helped us navigate the complex details and specific language of insurance policies and claims. He covered all aspects of the process, including smoke damage remediation, physical damage repair, exterior hardscapes, pool restoration, and overall mitigation. Meanwhile, John W. led the team with outstanding service. His meticulous attention to detail, impressive patience, expertise, and compassion made a significant difference. We are genuinely astonished and forever grateful for their efforts. After completing the first phase, we took a moment to breathe and felt a profound sense of relief, a sign that our home was on its way to being restored. As you navigate this mountain, do not hesitate to call on Servpro of Hollywood Hills/Los Feliz to come alongside you, with value and confidence.

We thought going to a single owner small business over a chain/corporation would give us better and more customized help to match our needs. It did not. We ended up switching, on the experience of our neighbors, to ServPro Hollywood Hills/Los Feliz. They were awesome. They cared. They also had a A-class team of experienced and professional people who also carried that culture of caring and hard work ethic to get the work done quickly but in an organized and caring fashion. John G and his team made a plan to fit our needs, and listened to what we needed and accommodated our special requests. All while keeping the work close to the original quote (which most mitigators blow past). The owner was also extremely kind and worked with us to provide the best service for our budget (as well as accommodating our needs to have extra time to disposition contents that might have been a total loss). I would highly recommend this branch of ServPro to any family in need.

I first reached out to Jaime and Antonio after several failed attempts with other "specialists" to solve the flooding and remediate the damage. They immediately came to the house and began to assess the problems, beginning with a plan to isolate the source(s) of the flooding. This initial step involved tarping the house and waterproofing the exterior walls. As the rains continued, we discovered that the house continued to flood notwithstanding the initial preventative steps. This sounds bad (and it was), but the only reason we were able to identify the source of the flooding was because of the preventative work done by Jaime and Antonio and their on-site inspections of my home during and after each rainstorm. Throughout this time, Jaime and Antonio stayed in close communication with me via phone and text, and were immediately responsive each time an issue arose (which was often). The flooding issues ultimately proved exceptionally challenging, and would require coordination over many months among American Heritage, the Los Angeles Dep't of Water & Power, my electricians, and my general contractor. As part of the solution, American Heritage needed to trench two sides of my house, install a French drain on one side of the house, install a separate drain on another side of the house, build up and waterproof the existing foundation, and remediate the flooded rooms (which included mold remediation). Throughout this process, Jaime and Antonio clearly explained the scope of each problem and offered proposed solutions, and welcomed my on-site inspections and questions at every stage of the remediation/construction. After their work was completed, Antonio and Jaime continued to check-in prior to and after subsequent rainstorms to ensure they had solved the flooding problems. This included multiple visits (which they did not charge me for) to ensure everything stayed dry. The value I received from their service was worth every dollar. House flooding is one of the more stressful and disruptive events that can happen in life. I hope it never happens to you. If it does, call American Heritage. You'll be glad you did. You will want them on your team.

We made it clear our priority was getting back into our bedrooms quickly due to mold remediation, but the project took about a month, leaving our family of five in the living room. At times, the work felt rushed more of a "get in and get out" approach than careful, detailed workmanship. The window installation had to be redone due to damaged frames, and we had to ask multiple times to get it sitting flush. Interior caulking around the windows had visible excess material and was not properly tooled, and still appears uneven after touch-ups. I didn't notice this until after the final walk through, but on one window, the interior corner seems to have a hole in it or uneven seal after the 2nd install. On the exterior, there are areas with bubbling and "alligatoring," along with sections that were not properly blended to match the surrounding texture. One area was initially painted over despite bubbling until we pointed it out. Paint was also left on nearby fixtures, including our exterior camera. We also experienced a pinhole leak in a copper line in the same work area shortly after completion. While it was eventually fixed, there was initial pushback. We were billed for hauling and cleanup, but still ended up handling some debris ourselves. A partial adjustment was made after raising the issue. To their credit, they did return to address some items. However, the process required ongoing oversight, and we had to repeatedly point out issues to get them corrected. Overall, the job was completed, but the workmanship and experience did not meet expectations for the price.
