I know dental implants are ungodly expensive in the US as I got quotes for a single tooth 10 years ago for over $4,000. My interest was peaked again when I saw ads for tooth implants in Istanbul Turkey for very reasonable prices. Istanbul one of my bucket list destinations so I thought so I thought I would get a quote from a dental implant company in the US to have a comparable price & see if maybe I could double up a trip to Istanbul while getting dental work. I called Nuvia after seeing their ad on Facebook & was inundated by calls. I set up an appointment for a consultation. The consultation is free but they charge your card $89 reimbursed upon arrival. After you check in they do X-rays of your mouth then you meet w/a counselor to discuss your options. This technique of taking out all of your teeth & replacing them w/artificial teeth within 2 days? I'm not really sure how this is even possible as my previous requests would have to have bone implants below the gum line then several weeks for the gums to heal before the actual tooth implants In my case an entire replacement from Nuvia of the top & bottom replacement was quoted @ $65,000 dollars. SAY WHAT $65K? No thanks I'll just gum my food lol Yeah $65K is a little rich for my blood.

Today though we returned to this more convenient (for us) Arlington Heights office for a specialized need. Wife had a stripped screw not reliably holding a crown onto an implant and Dr. Kakos was able to extract and replace the screw as well as salvage the crown which was an unexpected bonus. This was a repair that our regular and very good dentist could not perform. I got to witness the work and wow, it was like watching an auto mechanic with a vast array of sophisticated miniature tools at work, and it was fascinating and amazing to see Dr James Kakos' skills in action. I could have more properly used the term cosmetic dentist as opposed to auto mechanic, but all those tools, widgets, and parts made me think of auto mechanic lol. I also have to specify his first name as his son Dr. Stephan Kakos (and third generation dentist!) also now works in this office as well as in Naperville. His specialist services aren't cheap but you get what you pay for and need. Thank you once again Dr. James Kakos!

Dr Kakios has zero interest in improving his practice or patient satisfaction. Also, the older woman at his front desk is unprofessional. Find a different dentist--one who is competent to perform his own work and who actually cares.

All the ortho docs are insanely awesome, there simply is no better place. All the staff also is great at what they do.
