Restoration is a crazy industry where the bad employees jump around and the good ones never have the contacts to move elsewhere, or never know what else is out there. Chris reached out to me to see how willing I was to move and change. Every step of the way he was always up front and available with any questions I had. The position I was leaving wasn't a standard fit anywhere, but he was diligent in finding what the options and interest were. He was always attentive of my feedback with interviews and made a serious effort to correct and have those concerns handled on the next one. I ended up meeting with 5 different companies and had 2 different offers by the time I selected where I wanted to go. Normally a recruiter would stop there, but he also negotiated to make sure the salary was what I needed and worked with the employer to remind them of what I was bringing to the table. The result was greatly appreciated, and coaching was there all along the way so I always had the answers to questions I needed right away. I am now a month in to my new adventure and couldn't be happier, my employer feels the same way and has long term plans for growth options. I don't normally review companies but after reading the review from Tim P I felt compelled to add my two cents on Restoration Personnel Source (RPP). I have worked with RPP for many years as both a candidate and a company seeking quality employees. I have always had crystal clear communication with all of their representatives and have never been faced with an issue that was not quickly resolved with again, clear communication. As a candidate and a company looking for employees I have always taken the position that my decision to proceed was mine alone. You cannot expect a placement company to provide you with the connection and guarantee it is a good fit for either party. They are not an HR company, rather they provide a service of connecting job seekers with companies. Tim P, take some ownership in your string of bad luck. If the companies were that close to failure you would have had a better opportunity to sniff that out than RPP would. You also had the final say in wether you took the placements or not. The fact that RPP out of the kindness of their hearts gave you $2,000 should not in any way make you feel like you were entitled to it or that it makes them resposible for your poor decisions. I currently still work exclusively with RPP and will continue to do so. Ask me. Just ask me. I mean really ask me. It might be worth your while to ask me. Consult with me before making a move. Investigate the offer and the company the offer comes from before excepting anything. It's always a good idea to look over the offer and the company that would like to hire you. I took two placements with this company. The first was a startup and a fun place to work but they couldn't pay my placement fee and I was more or less repossessed and placed with another company in another state. I trusted them to vet out the new company but it turned out to be a nightmare and after it when ended my family were stranded in Colorado. The owner in-an effort to apologize paid me $2000 dollars for my troubles. They should have paid for a relocation back to Texas and found me another job. They did attempt to get me a few things here in Colorado but the only thing that materialized was just another bad placement. This was my first time to work with these folks and I've never used placement companies in the past. I've always-gotten my own jobs. They mean well but I really had three bad situations with them.
