This store is a bit of a 'pig in a poke' ... My advice is to not buy anything which is in a package and you cannot inspect. They won't let you take certain things out of the package to make sure there are no flaws and if it's damaged, you cannot return it unless it's electrical, like a light fixture. There are lots of good deals on RH furniture. However, the prices are still high for what you get. A dirty little secret about RH furniture is that it's not that well made and apt to fall apart, crack or age poorly. Do a search for 'restoration hardware sucks' and you'll see lots of people complaining about sagging couches, tables which warp and leather which falls off at the seams. So many of the pieces at the outlets are store items purchased at full price which were returned because of warping. RH also makes it very hard to match it's furniture with other brands as the size and scale of most RH furniture is enormous. HomeGoods has started carrying RH lookalike pieces but the scale is much smaller. If you are looking to piece a room together and save $1000+ on some larger pieces, this outlet is good for you. However you'll have to accept a bit of scratch and dent stuff and the fact that most pieces are mismatched. Still, you can save a lot here. I will agree that most of the employees here act as though you just pissed in their cornflakes. Not sure why they are so miserable and cranky but everyone who works here really needs to lighten up. Most of them talk about how much they hate their jobs and go out of their way to put on a sourpuss when you ask them a question. read more

Bought an expensive stone table with a recessed rectangular middle to fit on a steel base. Was only able to fit half the screws for the table to the base in. Tried both directions with a heavy stone table and no matter how we tried we could only screw in one half of the table because the holes on the base weren't lined up right. read more

Eh. I thought I loved Restoration Hardware until I came to this store. Maybe cuz it's just an outlet. I loved the store on Newbury St in Boston. The stuff was just bla. The furniture was big, poorly designed and uncomfortable. Yes it look big and unique, but many of the pieces were even unsafe to use (top heavy) and chairs that could tip. Some of the bathroom hardware was so overpriced too. I would totally recommend skipping this place. read more

I have spent the last 8 months shopping at the RH outlet in Wrentham at least once a week. I am remodeling and changing the style throughout my home and being able to make frequent visits I have found almost everything I am looking for. But it isn't the furniture, which I could not be happier with, that makes shopping here a great experience it is the customer service. I know It's an outlet. But broken and cracked cabinet was there. We asked about this and If we can get little bit of discount. It was $1200. No one wants to buy that broken cabinet for $1200. But they said because of the break and crack, the cabinet is here in outlet. So no discount. I understand but at the same time I don't. We don't buy clothes that have some problem from the outlet store. And some employees are nice always asking to help, but the woman manager is not at all. Her face was like " Don't bother me. Stop asking me. Just get whatever you want and get out." Lol read more

I love RH Outlet. The sales help are warm, friendly, professional and knowledgable. While product selection varies from day to day, most of the items are super high quality priced very well, you just have to be patient and wait to see what comes in. People have ranted and raved about Restoration Hardware to me in the past years. I had known a few people that worked at their old store in Chestnut Hill, and never got a chance to visit before they closed (the good 'ol Atrium Mall......). Anyway, I was at the Outlets (very rare for me.... I'm much more a Natick Mall person) so I figured I'd at least check out this outlet store, hoping for the greatest. Overall, it wasn't nearly the greatest, and while the store is gorgeous and beautiful, the price tags aren't. More like a high end retail store than an outlet.... even though the storefront clearly says "outlet". Comfortable couches, chairs, dining sets. Lots of lamps, phone cases (weird for a furniture store....), bureaus, arumas, even bathroom supplies such as towels, soap dispensers, and other stuff of that type. Staff were friendly and the store is more than organized. Honestly, I really wonder why they closed the Chestnut Hill store.... it seems like the perfect place to have one of these stores. Even at Outlet prices, nothing was a decent enough bargain to purchase. I wanted to like Restoration Hardware (and somewhat do), but I know I won't be shopping here too often because everything is just more expensive than it's worth. 3 stars. read more

To think I was the only one that thought this place was full of miserable employees. Sounds like the customer service skills need a lil polishing like the place itself. It's an outlet store but no need to keep it looking like a warehouse that's never been swept. But back to the good. The comical employees from the manager on down. Jen who works at this store was such a wonderful, helpful assistant! She helped us secure a leather arm chair from another woman who wanted to buy it as well and after an hour of us leaving she called to let us know that we should be seeing additional $ back on our credit card because they overcharged us by mistake. First, the store is still pretty expensive considering the merchandise is all returned items. and many of the things are damaged beyond repair. IT's not worth spending thousands of dollars on a damaged item when you can buy it in perfect condition for not that much more. The discounts are usually around 30 percent from the regular retail price. Also, merchandise is not returnable which makes the purchase RICKY in case it doesn't work out. Second, the people who work here are the biggest snobs. I've been to this store several times and have felt like it was a songfest of employees every visit. read more

I had to leave a review after seeing so many 1 star reviews. I bought two big tables here today during a 50% off sale and paid $1,000 for $4,000 worth of furniture. This is cheaper than any local furniture store and the style is great. I found the staff all very helpful as well. You have to pick it up within 3 days or they can deliver it for a cost. They said they get many trucks every week so I'll be going back often to see what is new. read more

So this place actually looks like an outlet shop unlike other "outlet" stores. It seems most of their stuff comes from an actual store, either left over seasonal items or showroom pieces. My husband and I got an amazing deal on a beautiful desk chair because the store was having an extra 30% off sale. Beware that there are absolutely no returns - we witnessed a poor couple arguing with an employee outside of their car when they realized a lounge chaise they just purchased had some damage on the bottom as they loaded it into their car. So inspect your purchases before buying! Good place to stop by but don't expect to come away with a bargain. We didn't, and we ended up with one! read more

Avoid this place, worst customer service ever and crappy quality compared to the regular store. I came into this place a few times, one time I got a lamp that didn't even work when I got home and had to drive back 45 minutes to return. They kept saying it's final sale and no return allowed. But first, they should check their products to make sure they work before put them out to sell. I got into the store on a Black Friday,I ended up getting a gramophone and a twin size's flat sheet. I wanted to get the fitted sheet as well, but it had a hole on it (they still put it out for sale which really surprised me). When I got home, the gramophone didn't work fine on my iPad, it worked fine at the beginning but the sound was so different when you kept playing it. So I had to come to the store and returned it. This time, a guy called Mike was super meant to me, he even accused me returning a sectional couch from here. I never like sectional couch and never shopped for one, let alone returning it. What an asshole!! I got items from here 4 times and had to return them back twice because of the quality. Anyway, this place is full of craps and you never know if you will get a decent item for the money you pay for. read more

We were in need of a chandelier and saw a few online we wanted to see in person and to find out the outlet pricing since retail was a bit too expensive for what you get. I haven't been to the Boston RH but hear it's like a museum and beautiful. The outlet doesn't look bad though it certainly looks like an Outlet store which is fine. The reason for my 2 stars rather than 5 has nothing to do with the appearance however, but rather the customer support we experienced over the weekend. We saw a chandelier we liked hanging from the ceiling at a great price. We asked if that was a sample piece and if they had more in boxes. They guy at the checkout, said no it's just that one and didn't seem very interested in helping. We looked at it more on our own and saw the mesh was quite dented and was wondering if it would pop out. Another sales woman asked if we needed help and wanted to see it. We said yes and they were able to bring it down. She also confirmed that was the only one, and that the outlet stores everything they have they put out to show and they always have issues which is why they come here and our discounted. We looked at it for about 20 minutes and finally decided we would take a chance and hope that with tools we could fix it on our own at home. A younger man asked if we need help and we said yes we wanted to get it. He said oh I'll check to see if we have more in the back for you. To which we were quite surprised and figured he must be new and didn't realize the outlet store doesn't work that way. But we let him look anyway. He came back with a box that had the same chandelier but this one looked perfect no dents or issues at the same price. We were thrilled but also completely confused on why both other reps told us the opposite. Since the other reps seemed older and most likely worked there longer we can only assume they tell customers it's only what's on the floor because they want to push the bad ones out first. Oh also, both first reps said all sales are final for the lights. Where is the last guy who helped us said they can't confirm that the lights work since they can't test them but if there is any technical problems with any of the chandeliers they can accept returns on those as long as you keep your original reciept. We were like oh wow that's amazing. So once again either the first two people were new and completely unknowledgeable or were trying to pull a fast one to get rid of the worst inventory first. Either way glad we met the other man who was able to explain the true policies. To note, we had a question after the fact about the light, called RH phone support and they were exceptional. read more

I love this store. The staff is great, especially Michelle who is always more than helpful, very knowledgeable on the merchandise and is about as nice as can be! this is a great place to shop and the staff works hard to accommodate you. You don't get this service in the other stores. I am a regular here and I visit all of the RH stores in Ma and Conn. Great customer service - but be aware that some of the stock they have are items that have been returned due to defects. For instance - I purchased a beautiful "train rack" for storing and hanging towels in the bathroom for about 40% off RH retail. I was thrilled - until I got it home and realized that one of the four arms which mount against the wall was a full inch shorter than the other three arms! Now I have two choices, throw it out, or make a shim which will fit behind the short arm so that the rack can be mounted. There are no returns on Outlet items - so buyer beware. Check and double check what you buy - there can be some great deals, but some of the stuff are defective returns (not just original buyers changing their minds on styles, etc.). read more

I love coming to this outlet as the inventory is always changing and I love the style of Restoration Hardware. I have purchased many things here at a discounted price. The staff has always been extremely helpful. They will also wrap and carry something to your vehicle and keep and eye out if you are looking for a particular item they don't have and then give you a call if it comes in. They also inform you of what is on sale - often there is 40% off the outlet price. I've never had a bad experience with a staff person. That being said, this is an upper-end brand with a particular style. Don't go there expecting Home Goods prices. (I also love Home Goods, but this is a different price point.) Some of the things I purchased here were a mirrored coffee table with a slight scratch, a stand up lamp (not damaged) dining room chairs (not damaged) art work (not damaged) leather chairs (not damaged) faux fur blankets (not damaged), linens (not damaged). Like any outlet store, I don't like everything and to me not everything is a good deal. Many of the really great things go quickly, so if you are really looking for something special it is best to go after they receive deliveries, which I believe is twice a week. If you like interior design or just for fun, go to the big full priced showroom on Newbury Street. You can wander around the massive space as there are many displays and 3 or 4 floors. My biggest complaint about the store is that they have an absolute no return policy. I purchased some window panels over the weekend and inadvertently bought the wrong size. I purchased them in a store at the Tanger Outlets in the Hamptons/Long Island where I had visited friends over the weekend. I thought that I could exchange them for size but was told that, no, not only could I not exchange them, they wouldn't take merchandise back from that store anyway. This confused me a bit because either they don't take returns at all, which is what the guy on the phone in Wrentham said, or they take back some things but just not from that store because when he checked with someone they said they absolutely couldn't because of where I bought them. We just bought a house and I love this store. Last week we bought a dining room table and it was a great deal. Unfortunately they were low on inventory of chairs so it takes a little monitoring to find what you want, but it's worth it. They don't offer delivery so be pared to have to pick up whatever you buy, but I will say the employees were really helpful in wrapping and loading the table for us when we got there. Beautiful store and excellent customer service. I have been there several times over the past month and got several terrific deals. A $2800 dining table for $900 that had a small scratch on one of the extension leaves. A $6,000 sofa for $2000 that had nothing wrong with it. I've read some of the previous discussions about poor customer service but my experiences have been the opposite. The staff have gone above and being to help me find what I'm looking for. Three out of the 5 times I've been to the store I've ended up with exact items I was looking for. The merchandise moves fast and you can ask them to "hold" a piece for up to two hours while you're looking around the store. This is particularly helpful on sale days. read more
