We then had the perfect dinner of local food at Roadford House where we walked along stonewalls past cows, horses, and sheep to the intimate dining room overlooking pastures. In the pub, we had dinner at Eric Clapton's table. As might be expected, the staff were very friendly and helpful -- without being stuffy like they can be in some resorts. There is one bathroom between two rooms so you need to be comfortable sharing a bathroom. They contract with local tour guides to pick you up if you wish to take an island tour. The front desk is pretty strict about check-in and didn't let us check in before 3PM even though we were on the 10:30AM ferry that got in around 11:30AM, but they do let you store your luggage behind the front desk. P.S. They tend to have a lot of weddings at this hotel as there are banquet tents, so be prepared for potential parties (bachelor or bachelorette) on certain weekends.
