My expectations were completely met. First, the practice of bringing out couvert (which is charged for) is something I've had to get used to while in Portugal. I rejected a few of the offerings, but kept the fresh cheese and olives. Both were really, really good! Next, I ordered the special of wild boar. My expectations were admittedly low because I've never had wild boar. The good news--wow! So good. The meat was incredibly tender and tasted amazing. Located on a traffic free travessa, clean, flowers on every table, specializes in game (venison, wild boar), but plenty of Portuguese standards, like grilled sardines (wife), and arroz de pato ( crispy rice with duck), which I had. Both were perfect. Large portions, with no one blinking when asked for a doggy bag. Wine list reasonable, all Portuguese choices topping out at 10 euros/ bottle. For everything with wine and tip, two persons, 35 euros. High rec.
