We were a group of 5 and ordered vegetable mofongo, shrimp mofongo, the pasta special of the day, an empanadillas, tostones, and a chicken burger with bacon and fries that looked like it came from a gastropub. It was so good, the birthday gal ordered 2 addl empanadillas to go for another meal at home! When Monique learned it was a birthday, she even brought out a beautiful complimentary flan, which she had made! Everything was delightful and delicious. And the prices are much more reasonable than many of the "tourist towns". Aguirre has a unique history and many historic buildings are scattered throughout the town. Stop for lunch or dinner and walk around and the nature trails and center are great (and free).

A must go to when in Aguirre!

They would take your temperature before you enter and they will clean the table in front of you. The food is very good and the drinks are great ! Beware that the plates are big! lol . Gorgeous view of the ocean and you can see the sunset if you go around 5 pm. The service was excellent, fast and efficient . We order one jar of Sangria and beers. The sangria was exquisite , not too strong or light. Food *Salmorejo de Jueyes - 5 of 5, Puerto Rican Salmorejo de Jueyes is a treat for anyone who loves crab. You can eat it with white rice , fried plantains or mofongo. * Chicken Mofongo - 5 of 5 , Mofongo itself is a dumpling made from lightly fried plantains, garlic, and pork rinds - it is full of flavor, and not overly dense or dry. You can order Mofongo with shrimps, beef or anything you like. Its a great restaurant to visit if you are near Salinas. They have free parking and you have the option to seat inside with AC or outside with a beautiful ocean view.

Served on the side perfectly cooked medium grain rice and seasoned red beans. SERVICE 100/100 our server greeted our table with a welcoming smile and Hola. She offered cold waters for my party of 3 and delivered fried house made cheese with house made guava dipping sauce. Our meals were cooked to order assuming gigantic fresh fish took the longest to cook. We all enjoyed the fresh ocean breeze and sounds of the waves hitting the rocks. Latino music played softly in the background. This experience was nothing short of delicious flavorful and amazing. It was truly a culinary delight. Located off the tourist path but if you can find your way down the winding hills it is more than worth it. By Gods grace,my hubby has a great friend who can smd picked us up from the San Juan Marriott Stallaris and Casino to share his beautiful island with us. Take care all and safe travels.

We do travel with a wheelchair. The server was very good and well knowledgeable on the menu. He was even photographed in the menu. We ordered a couple cocktails as well as many appetizers. We didn't order any entrees, as our family likes to try many things. My wife's favorite is ceviche and she was impressed by this dish. (Order it) We also ordered fish bites. Solid choice as the guava sauce was memorable. La arepas de coconut. Solid. The fish empanadas were great. Definitely order those. But calamari was chewy and overcooked. I'd pass on this. Cocktails were amazing. Spicy margarita is spicy!! I had a mojito which was delicious. You won't go wrong with any cocktail. Server was great. He did mention to me that we should order soon as the kitchen will get busy. We waited as we were enjoying our dinner. (We didn't have any problems) I'd go back. I'd also suggest sticking to your plan. It's your evening and don't let service control the experience. At the end of it...you control the tip = thank you.

I also tried the coconut mojito on the rocks, which was a standout: refreshing, well-balanced, and served with fruit (strawberry, cherry, and blueberries) mixed in. My wife had the fish mofongo, which she felt was just okay--decent, but not particularly memorable. That said, overall this is a great dinner spot if you're in the area. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors; we opted to sit outside since the AC inside was a bit too cold. Definitely worth checking out for a relaxed meal and solid cocktails.
