Impeccable service and comfortable seats. The pleasant Marbella weather with perfect temperature also helped to keep us seated here outside for almost four hours. No recycling, use of single use plastics and a staff lying about tap water = 1* Review!…read more The place is yes very photogenic and has good food and drinks but the blatant disregard for the environment in nearly every way has driven me to make this post, this resort has not one recycling bin! I have seen staff giving guests up to three towels per person for no real reason at all. My biggest grievances however came from staff comments about the tap water not being drinkable! However when you research the local .gov page I find out that it is completely safe to drink, a blatant lie to encourage purchase of wasteful purchase of plastic bottles! Rather than supplying reusable filtered glass bottles as is the norm! To add to this when sitting outside less than 5 meters from the bar we were served with the attached photo. With no recycling bin in site and put directly into the trash after using, this is disgraceful and I intent to comment to the hotel manager.

It is guarded by men in black, while the same band plays--simultaneously--for several neighboring restaurants. Dancing is prohibited for the first five hours. What is allowed is continuous acoustic bombardment from exhausted, second-hand loudspeakers. We were a group of sixteen friends, seated at separate wooden tables, placed back to back, with no real comfort or space. Chairs and backs rubbed constantly against guests from neighboring tables, creating a cramped, almost physical intimacy with strangers--hardly the setting one expects for a €550 New Year's Eve dinner. No tablecloths, cheap sticks and cutlery, and a layout that felt closer to crowd storage than hospitality. Conversation was impossible. Dancing was impossible. The music was too loud to talk over, too erratic to move to, and entirely indifferent to the people supposedly dining. The restroom experience deserves its own paragraph. Everything happens in individual cubicles, which explains the endless queues. Since women rarely enter alone--and men seem equally fond of company--the line appears to move but, in reality, never progresses. As for the food, the quality has already been discussed. What completes the picture is the combination of overpricing, crowd control, and staged exclusivity--a carefully choreographed rip-off wrapped in brand mythology and enforced by security. A New Year's Eve designed not for celebration, but for containment.
