If I could give this restaurant negative stars I would. The service by the manager and waitress is disrespectful, sexist and unethical. The food is subpar to the price they are selling it for. Don't make the same mistake as I did walking into this eatery instead of the many other paella places on the boardwalk.
My friends and I (a group of 4) came into this restaurant by the beach wanting to eat paella and we were told that price of the paella was not determined by the portion size, but by the number of people eating it.
That being said, 3 of us ordered the seafood paella (17 euros per person) while my 4th friend ordered a singular vegetable paella since she's vegetarian (12 euros).
When the food came out, the plate size for a 3 person paella plate was barely any bigger than the plate size for a single person paella plate. We asked if there was a mistake with the portion size and were told by our waitress that portion size does NOT change by person, only price does. Meaning that if 2-4 people were sharing the same paella, regardless of party size the portion size plate is the exact same.
We asked another waiter who was passing by whether he could clarify why our plate size was smaller than the table next to us (who also had 3 people) and he said that our plate was for two and continued on to say "that's a plate for 2 males but can be a plate for 3-4 girls" after we questioned why we were given the 2 person plate when we had 3 people sharing it.
Once we got the bill we asked to speak to the manager. And our waitress came with the manager as the translator. Not only was she not translating everything we were saying, but the manager brought out all three different plate sizes: singular, two people size and third people size plates. And it was clear that we were give the two people size plate for three people. When we argued that we were given the wrong size, both the manager and waitress were disrespectful in response and attitude arguing back that we indeed had the three people size plate because of the number of shrimps that were on the plate...
Not only were they giving differing reasons why we were paying a ridiculous amount of money for such a small portion of food, but no one had taken the initiative to apologize for the miscommunication or showed the maturity to do so.
We know what we ate, we saw all three different pan sizes come out and we know our plate was NOT the three person plate. And as "3-4 girls" we for sure as hell can eat as much as a male.
Don't waste your money coming here. It's not worth your time or attention. read more
