I'm pleased to report that at Navarro, our experience was nothing like that; from the moment we arrived we were made to feel like old friends who were long overdue for a return visit. The staff was delightful - completely personable and attentive without in any way being obtrusive. We were seated upstairs and begin our wonderful meal with a warm seafood salad. Next we were served a truly fabulous Lobster paella (simply amazing!). Our server recommended a wonderful Rose wine, which we each enjoyed two glasses of. Our entire dining experience was truly exceptional, and I wouldn't hestiate to recommend this wonderful restaurant!

Longer if you are in the heart of Valencia, but it is worth it for the award winning paella and seafood. You are surrounded by rice paddies and you know it is a great local spot when there are other spanish folks and the servers speak a little english. Luckily the menu is in spanish and english. Service is great, nice and laid back, enjoy your food, don't rush through it style. The white wine sangria was delicious and refreshing. We had langostine and prawns and the special paella with iberico ham. Every grain of rice was very flavorfull! If you plan to take a taxi back, they staff are kind enough to call a taxi for you, keep in mind it will take 30-40min for the taxi to get to the restaurant. Your alternative option is to take the #24 bus at the center of town back to Valencia which leaves once per hour, check apple or google maps for the time.

The customer service was incredible and we've never felt more welcome in all our experience abroad. Our server didn't speak a single word of English, yet the service was warm, attentive, and exceptional. With lots of smiles and a few nods, everything worked out perfectly. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered two types of paella--the Seafood Paella and the Valencian Paella. Each had its own unique flavors, and both were outstanding. You can tell the dishes are prepared with care and tradition. The hospitality was just as memorable as the meal. It was a genuine, welcoming experience that reminded us food has a way of bringing people together, no matter the language. My group of 3 were the only foreigners in the restaurant a bit outside the old city center but a short way from the City of Science. It's huge terrace was packed on a weekday lunch with families, single eaters (many who appeared retired, and brought their floofy dogs with them), and businesspersons. All local. We got a classic Paella Valenciana and it was delicious, with a nice crispy socarrat at the bottom. My only wish was that the rabbit were taken off the bone, as it was a bit hard to navigate. Excellent selection of local and Spanish wines also, at very reasonable prices. And our server had a fun personality also, reminding me a bit of a cantankerous (albeit nice and funny) uncle at Thanksgiving... What a find!

It is a small family run restaurant, and very authentic Brazilian food from Porto Alegre.
