My wife and I came to Cafe Restaurant des Trois Suisses in search of a restaurant with local character that served cheese fondue and we were not disappointed. This 60 year-old family-owned restaurant served up the best cheese fondue and filet steak we've ever had and, thanks to their friendly staff and warm ambiance, we returned to our hotel feeling like we'd been integrated into the community for a few hours.
We ordered the standard fondue natural and it was classic and delicious. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly and their house butter sauce was amazing. We complemented the meal with a bottle of Pinot Gris, a desert of apple pie and vanilla ice cream and a couple of limoncellos that were also on pointe.
We've spent the past two weeks in Paris, Madrid and Nyon and this meal was, by far, the best of our trip.
It has an unpretentious decor and friendly service with well-prepared food. They had a selection of seasonal wild-game dishes on the menu that also looked interesting.
I debated publishing this review because I didn't want to spoil the character of this local favorite with an influx of tourists, but this fine restaurant deserves recognition even if they don't seem to care about digital marketing. read more
