I noticed a bar area and asked about drinks but was informed it was byob alcoholic beverages... which is very strange to me for a restaurant. I ordered the spiced lamb croquettes for appetizer and the Manti for my main (it is my absolute favorite Turkish dish). I was very dissatisfied with both dishes. The meat inside both was completely devoid of spice so really just plain meat filling. I would have ordered dessert but wasn't going to take a chance on that being tasteless too. Would not return here, I felt ripped off on how much I paid. These dishes would have been 1/4 the price and 1000 times better in Turkey.

The waitress was really nice to explain the dishes on the menu. It's Turkish food that we tried it first time. Then I really NO need another plate. We got salad and fries and Turkish rice along with the beef, chicken and lamb. Totally full for two of us with 1 plate. The art work on the walls, the intricate chairs and laterns, beautiful carpets were very impressive. The art part of the evening was amazing! We were four girls and we all loved the teacher, we had a blast. The food part of the evening was a huge disappointment. When I made the reservation I was told we would have a choice of tapas, there was no choice. The waitress did not even bother to explain what it was we were eating when she brought the food to the table. The first tapas came in a small serving dish and tasted like frozen spinach, mixed with oil and what I could only assume was little bits of ground beef. No salt or seasoning what so ever, and it had one tortilla chip in it. The chip was the best part. The second tapas was a mixture of grated carrot, mixed with lots of oil and a lot of prunes! I had about 8 prunes in my dish. There was some chicken as well, but again, no seasoning. At the start of the evening we thought we might stay longer, order more food perhaps...we quickly changed our minds on that. Also the waitress seemed like she wanted us to leave so she could close up. All in all, we had fun, but the food left much to be desired. Far too pretentious for the price.

We were approximately 8 people and everyone swore to complain and to write a review. First it took them about 20 minutes to bring us drinks we ordered. Then we had to ask them twice for ice because all drinks were warm. 10 minutes later they finally found the ice. Appetizer was not cooked properly; I will leave it at that. Main meal was just ok. Medium rare stake turned out well done. Sauce with the stake was good, but rest was so-so. Wine menu is practically non-existent. In the middle of our dinner staff interrupted our event by bringing left-over sweets from the buffet they had in another part of restaurant and lightning candles for my friend`s anniversary. Honorable intent of course, but two problems with that. We were in the middle of our main meal, so everyone was shocked at how poor their timing was. And of course second is the fact that it was composed of left overs and was far from being presentable. Temperature in the room was too hot for most people, all women complained. Lightning was way too bright. Staff kept mixing orders all the time and forgetting simple requests. The only positive I can think of is decor; they have done a good job with making it look nice and unique. In the end we all left extremely frustrated to say the least. I hope this helps anyone thinking of organizing an event at this place or even a romantic date.
