Great authentic and flavorful place! They make their bread themselves fresh, which really elevates a sandwich. They were packed at random times of the day so you know they're good. This is a classic hole in the wall situation where the presentation is nothing to write home about, but the food will have your wife begging to come back the next day. Note: they're cash or debit only but they do have an atm. read more

Food was amazing! Like really really good. Will return next time I'm around! That's it, that's the review.

Wonderful, homey shop that was busy on a Saturday night. Ordered their chicken sandwich after seeing them prepare and roll out hot fresh bread from the oven. Generous amounts of chicken, nice service and hefty sandwiches! read more

Stumbled on this place after jazz festival on eve of Canada Day. Line out the door constantly. Menu is limited to kabobs and sandwiches. Lamb sandwich was fantastic, fresh hot bread leaving the oven to be slathered with a garlicky thick yogurt and filled with salad and tender lamb chunks...man there is a reason this place is packed. Takes about 20 minutes to get your food on a busy night but watching the assembly process is a blast as 4 guys turn out a continuous flow of sandwiches. They do take credit cards now as well. read more

Everything here is fire. Went here twice in two days. Shared the antep kebab platter which was delicious. Even the salad was super with the lemon juice over top. Came back and got the antep sandwich and land sandwich. Lamb was sooooo juicy and tender. That's probably my fav. Cash only but they have an atm inside. read more

Pretty disappointed to be honest. Was looking forward to tasting some Turkish food for the first time, but their was not a single Turkish person working there. I had a chicken sandwich for 9.50$. Definitely over priced, since for 10$ you can easily get a sandwich and fries anywhere in Montreal. Also they charged 2.5$ for a can of soda! The food quality was not bad though. It seemed fresh and was warm when I ate it. However, the taste was lacking. At most, it was a basic chicken sandwich. The flavour was lacklustre and unoriginal. It was halal so that is a plus. All in all, 2/5, overpriced and basic, but not bad enough to get a 1/5. read more

Ordered the Chicken Sandwich & the Beef Kebab Sandwich. The meat was tender & well seasoned, the pita was warm & fresh. However the sandwich tasted basic & really was just an ordinary meal. It's a good sandwich to grab if you are hungry & need something quick within the vicinity. But it's definitely not a meal I would recommend as there are many great sandwich options in Montreal within the same price range, serving quality food that is delicious! read more

The food was delicious. You just have to remember to pay in cash. You order your food and find a table and wait for them to call you.

This place is a definite must try in my book. It wasn't very inviting when I first walked in there but once I figured out how to order and tried their food, it was all well worth it. So first thing to know is this place does not serve you. You'll have to go up to the counter and order your food from the very limited menu they have. Despite being limited though, the food they have is delicious. Once you order your food, you then give them your name and pay for It. When the food is done they will call your name to get It from the pick up side where the cook is. Then you enjoy a delicious meal. I personally recommend the grilled chicken kebab platter which was very delicious. The platter comes with 2 triangle pieces of their homemade bread, rice, fresh salad with oil on It along side a lemon wedge, about 4 good sized delicious pieces of perfectly grilled chicken, a white cheese cream type sauce on the side and optional hot sauce. This platter with a bottle of water came out to a little over C$16. Everything on the plate was delicious and I came back the next day to have the same platter again. The spicy and non-spicy chicken sandwich is also very popular here. Bread is amazing so I know you'll love It. Must try! read more

It's been three years since my last visit here, three years since my last visit to Montreal, and it's wonderful to see it still open. I had an Antep Kabab sandwich, which is made on toothsome, perfect Turkish bread with various toppings including a pungent sort of chevre. It is a STUNNINGLY good sandwich that I had to get to go as there is no seating inside or outside Antep. But the thing is that this made it *better*. I stopped at a "park" near the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and the sandwich had cooled to a perfect temperature and was just spectacular. I also got a bottle of Turkish orange soda that is teeth-achingly sweet and didn't like it. But this sandwich- it's magic. read more

Delicious spicy chicken sandwhich with a strong charcoal flavor. It isn't too spicy and there's a lot of chicken in it. For 8$ tax included, this is definitely worth it. The place is clean and spacious inside, but half of the surface is their kitchen so there aren't many seats. They don't take cards so remember to bring cash. read more

The food is fantastic. The place not so much. The fact that I need to pay cash or use their ATM for cash is a scam. The entrance is dirty. And they don't take care of it. If you are buying to take out...good idea. Make sure you have a driver to wait with the car as finding a spot is close to impossible. Or just walk :) read more

This place has my favourite sandwich. There is no competition. The fresh bread is stuffed with so much juicy chicken. Together with the spicy sauce, yogurt, lettuce, cucumber and tomato it's perfection. I've had it countless times in the last 5 years. If you're super hungry then get the lamb kebab plate. read more

This looks like something you would see in a movie, the villain has an office in the back with a secret door to escape in the back ally. Must admit not bad, the cashier took American money because I did not have Canadian dollars and they did not take credit cards. I got two chicken sandwiches, one spicy and one not. My wife usually do not eat all her food, let's just say she finished it this time. We took the food to go and ate back in the hotel. Great spot to grab something, I recommend, ignore the dodgy look of the place. read more

Very tasty food. Reasonable prices. I would have given 5 stars if they accepted debit and/or credit payment.

So thankful to be back here 3 years later and get to have this divine kebab sandwich experience again! Bread with caraway seeds made on the spot, so fresh and perfect, kebab so flavourful and moist, great kick from the spicy sauce and contrasting crunch from the lettuce pieces. So yummy. It was busy on a Saturday, a non-stop stream of people and wrapped sandwiches being handed out. The Antep Kebab sammie is $10.50. Get here! Don't miss this taste explosion. One of the best sandwiches in Montreal. Cash only! read more

The store entrance doesn't look attractive at all but the food is exceptional. At first I thought it was quite expensive for a bun/burger because it's around 9-10 each. I ordered a antep burger (lamb and beef) and a chicken burger. Oh my god, when you have the first bite you can't stop. The meat is so tasty and the lamb flavour is very strong. The best part is actually the "bread" part, they made it from flour and you can see them making it from sketch. They bake it and it's so crispy with the taste of flour. I love this so much and I had to buy an extra one for a stranger sitting outside the restaurant. read more

The food was good but the ambiance was terrible. Very DIRTY, poor service, crowded, and overall unsatisfactory.

For $15, you can get the Antep Kabab. This comes with 2 kebabs, warm bread, salad with yogurt, and spiced barley. Super filling and satisfying. Also tried the Uludag orange soda which had a bit of orange pulp in it, but tasted like orange Fanta. Delish! read more

Great place for a quick lunch if you are downtown. I always get the chicken sandwich for $7 cad. They freshly make the bread. They freshly grill the chicken which has a great flavor to it and you know it's fresh because they get so much turnover. The bread and the chicken make it a great sandwich. The veggies and sauce they use is okay. One negative is that it can get busy during lunch (students, workers). You could be waiting 10minutes for your sandwich depending on how much grilling they are doing. No paper menus. Everything is on board above The chicken sandwich is a must try if you are in the area. read more

Delicious little spot at the heart of Montreal. Really enjoyed their kebab sandwich. Small clean spot with friendly staff.

I'm Turkish, the food is delicious and takes my Turkish food cravings away. However even tho the taste and everything is Turkish, you won't find this in Turkey. Lamb sandwich doesn't exist, yes we put it in bread but the sauces are not the same. When it comes to meat Turkish people like eating plain therefore enhancing the taste. read more

I used to go to this place every lunch break and get the exact same thing every time: the mixed meat sandwich (antep kabab). They make the bread in front of you, the place smells amazing, and the best part of the sandwich is the last few bites when gravity makes the spicy sauce, meat juices, creamy kebab sauce and tomato accumulate at the bottom... oof. I'd be licking my fingers all the way back to class. read more

This place is small and not particularly interesting from the outside, the décor and seating is basic but you will always see a lot of rush inside. We were passing by and could smell a delicious chargrilled aroma coming from somewhere... the smell led us to Antep and before we know it, we left hands-full of sandwiches. There are only a few items on the menu - either meat/chicken sandwiches or meat/chicken plates. I highly recommend the sandwiches, mainly because the Turkish bun is freshly-made in store. You can see the girl putting in and taking out fresh-batches like clockwork. I had a spicy filet-mignon sandwich (which I waited nearly 45 minutes for - was there during peak lunch-time) and watched the entire process of how it was made. The fresh bread came out of the oven, a dollop of garlic sauce and a special home-made chilli sauce were spread inside, a heaping of salad was placed along with an entire skewer of juicy filet mignon. Biting into this thing was tricky as the sandwich is super filled and heavy - which I totally didn't mind! You definitely get your money's worth of meat (the sandwiches are a tad on the pricier side!) The flavours are to perfection, almost addictive as you want more afterwards. Great place for lunch/dinner if you want to try authentic Turkish flavours! read more

If you are in the student district of Montreal this is a must visit place to go. Despite the fact that it serves only 8 items, has no vegetarian options, takes cash only, and has no liquor, it is amazingly delicious and cheap. The sandwiches are made with the tastiest pita ever, beautifully baked on site and encrusted with sesame. Then there is the beef and lamb kebab meat, loaded with spices. The meat leaves a glorious tingling in your mouth. The clientele consists almost entirely of Arabs--which for me confirms the greatness of this establishment. Go get a great kebab sandwich for $10. The bread, meat, vegetables, and yoghurt merge beautifully into a flavorful bonanza you will definitely want to experience again read more

A favorite from the 6 years I lived in Montreal and still good on a recent (March 2023) visit. The chicken sandwich and platters are excellent. Their house-made bread is excellent as well. The interior is a bit cramped, but you can always take your sandwich to go. Highly recommended. read more

Antep Kabab - Turkish Near Me - Montreal, Quebec

here's the run-down - Atmosphere, Service, & Food Atmosphere: Antep Kabab - for all of Montreal's diverse culinary fabric - is one of the few Turkish restaurants found in down-town. The fact that it's owner operated, gives it its unique feel - what the feel is, however is yet to be clearly determined. It's small, but cozy, quite but bustling, uniquely Turkish but feel like any number of places around the Concordia Campus. Best is to pop in for take out. Service: The lady behind the counter - always on her laptop pc - has a jovial smile, but can be stern if the mood doesn't strike her. The owner, a short, burly man is the head cook (also makes the bread / pitas) speaks english with difficulty and although always happy to take customer's orders - can often been seen barking remarks / order as the 2 other employes on the counter lady. Cute family-ish dynamic - but sometimes gives patrons an awkward feeling. Food: The food however, is something else! The fact that everything is made fresh, makes Antep's menu a treasured prize for the hungry student, traveller, err... everybody. Prices have been on the rise (damn you inflation!) and Antep's sandwiches (kabab, shish taouk (chicken portions), kebab, and filet mignon) have gone up in price to $6 each. Two of them should do the trick when you're hungry. Everything is cooked on a charcoal grill & as an added bonus you can find many exotic soft drinks and juices at Antep (those from the Mediterranean part of Europe and the Middle East will recognize many of them). Take note, only cash is accepted. "Baten Malan, Kef Tamam" (full stomach, happy mind) read more
