Restaurant Saigon is definitely among the better Vietnamese restaurants in Copenhagen. It is a bit outside the city center, but the food is definitly worth the trip to Valby.
We ordered banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake), banh cuon (soft rice flour roll with pork), pho bo ( beef noodle soup) and bun thit nuong (grilled pork skewers with rice noodles and fish sauce).
The banh xeo was absolutely delicious! Crispy and flavorful batter and fish sauce was pleasure eating! The bun thit nuong pork was so tender and very flavorful. Banh cuon was also pretty good with fried shallots, soft rice rolls, and pork sausage. My only comment is that their pho broth is not the most flavorful I have tasted, but decent.
By far the star is their fish sauce! Definitely the best fish sauce I have tasted in Copenhagen!
Saigon is really worth the trip to Valby and I look forward to eating here again! read more
