Looking at the amount of waiters, they know that service is important for the customer satisfaction. On the food aspect, I was really pleased with the menu they offer, not too long but very attractive. The perches are nice (I tasted my wive's :-) ) and I had delicious filet de Fera (also a local fish). Overall it is good quality food, portions are decent and the flavored are there. Order your food at the cashier and seat yourself in one of the two covered outdoor sections with benches, or take it out onto the grass if you so desire. The affordable item is always their "Plat du Jour"/ dish of the day, 15 CHF (~18 USD). During our visit, it was a wonderfully refreshing "Ceviche de Cabillaud"/ cod ceviche marinated in lemon. They also serve Fondue here at 27 CHF per person (if requested), though we made the mistake of ordering a portion for 2 people which was not necessary after ordering 1 plat du jour each. This was brought out for to us at a bench we eventually secured. The Gruyère cheese was quite rich and on the saltier end. The bread they supply you with was a bit too crusty. The food is lovely - I had stuffed and deep fried courgette flowers, followed by Crevette geantes 'facon chef' (giant prawns, served with roasted tomatose and vegetables), and then shared a lime meringue pie with my mum for dessert. All of it lovely and tasty, but a bit oily for me - too much dressing on the salads, too much grease on the deep fried courgette and a bit too much olive oil on my tomatoes. Not enough to spoil them though. And the lime pie was tasty, but not quite what we expected (we were thinking lemon curd, it tasted more like cheesecake). This hotel has a couple great things. First the price. The price was the cheapest hotel in Geneva by far and that made it a great place to stay. Second it is right across the street from the Lake and the lake was beautiful. The Lake is crystal blue waters with the Alps surrounding it which make it for the perfect picture. The rooms are large and spacious. They had big tubs with shower heads so you could take a shower or bath. The windows of this hotel opened a little so you could get some fresh air in your room which was super nice. Also they all came with a day bed by the window which was nice to sit on and relax. You can get this hotel where it includes breakfast with your stay. We left right before they put out the breakfast but were able to grab some pastries. They were really tasty. I would for sure recommend this hotel and they will for sure see me on my next visit to Geneva!
