Finally! After over a year of renovations this former faucet factory (which was more recently a couscous restaurant) has opened to the public with its gorgeous new decor. This past weekend the doors opened and the neighborhood locals poured in to test out what is bound to become a hotspot in this developing side of the canal. The restaurant/café is pretty gigantic and extremely tastefully done. There's a lovely atrium in the central part of the restaurant outfitted with retro tiled floors, a wall garden and a glass ceiling that looks onto the painted window frames of the hotels rooms above. There's also a library-like salon, and a big dining area with faucet wall art and a smattering of tables outside. While I've yet to test out the American-inspired bistrot fare of mostly hot open sandwiches, salads and burgers I did have a very lovely crisp rosé in the central cafe while chatting with some neighbors who, like me, were there to support this local biz on its first few days of existence. I was visiting a nearby company for business and was surprised that they chose a restaurant in a hotel for a meal. They told me that they come here often. They like the reasonably priced lunches and the personal service. I must admit that they are right about both. Based on other yelp reviews, I had the Nordique salad: smoked salmon, avocados and an array of fresh greens and veggies with an entree of sea bass nestled on a bed of tasty mashed tomatoes. Yum! Went here because of other Yelp reviews and wanted some good French onion soup... ended up a bit disappointed. Came in for lunch and the restaurant was completely empty. We ordered two bowls of soup and the chèvre salad with lardons. The soup came out in nice little cast iron rectangular bowls. Lots of cheese on top. However, it was fairly bland compared to others we had tried, particularly that of La Jacobine. The waiter gave us a bowl of bread to soak up more soup-- good call! One thing I liked about this place was the wine list. Wife got a nice vin gris and I had a red Sancerre. Both delicious and very affordable. The salad wasn't terrible but the chèvre cheese didn't really mix well into the greens and the crostini on top seemed a little superfluous. I think the food wasn't bad, but the ambience kinda made it harder to enjoy and it definitely didn't measure up to the 5 star reviews we had read. read more

So fantastic! Three course meal for 30€ and it was wonderful. We got the cheese plate, the duck, and the lava cake and it was enough food for two. Also they give you enough bread to smother yourself with. The wine was priced very well and the service was great even though my French is not so bien. read more

I've never been one for eating in hotel restaurants if i'm not staying the night, but this is one that I go back to again and again (about once a month actually)! From great service to a varied menu, the quality/price ratio really is hard to beat. For me it's the sea bass a la plancha, the goats chesse salad for my amoureux, the lamb and mashed potatoes for my mum, the burger for my sister... Bref! We all have our favourite dish here. As for the hotel itself, although i've never stayed personally, my family has and the rooms are cosy, clean and beautifully decorated. I truly recommend Le Robinet d'Or! read more

The food here was great. The only reason I'm not giving full 4 stars is they weren't very accommodating to us because we didn't speak French. We found that weird considering its a restaurant attached to a hotel. Nonetheless, the steak was amazing, as well as the wine. Ambience of the restaurant made it even better. read more

Prompt service and an excellent prix fixe menu made this a standout. Like my French, I'd call it minimalist with flair and adequate charm. Tucked in the corner of a quiet neighborhood. What a lovely setting with such fine food and service. It is snowing in Paris and this bistro is welcoming in warmth, service and food. I had filet de boeuf au poivre and gratinee. Perfect. I was alone and the attention to me was the same as to the other diners. In Paris this is significant as many women unfortunately know. ( I was at one place, La Barrique- 75010 where the waiter actually shook his finger at me when I reached for a napkin!) Also, there is an oyster bar as well as a small bar. Very disappointed. Went there at 6 p.m. because we were already quite hungry. Outside of the restaurant, a sign said that they would open at 6 p.m., so we went inside. The waiter at the reception asked if we wanted to have dinner. We actually spoke French with him, but he answered in English, which was confusing. He told us that the kitchen would not open before 7 p.m. and wished us good bye. So we left, but wondered why it had not been possible to have an apéro until 7 p.m. and why we were sent away instead. Came here for a romantic dinner at the restaurant, was not disappointed. Great and reasonably priced Prix Fixe: Salmon starter was great really flavorful. My dates Fois Gras was good as well. Delicious entree: Roasted Duck Breast with Potato Gratin, came with Roasted Tomato and Garlic, a Salad, and Fois Gras Sauce. Absolutely amazing! My dessert the lemon Sables, were not great, but my date's creme brûlée was out of this world. read more

My daughter and I came here for lunch on a Thursday, a little after the rush. We both got salads that were quite substantial and not like what you would get in the US (in a good way). No one spoke too much English, but it was not a problem (and this was our first day in Paris). The service was good and the prices reasonable. read more
