Really, really disappointing. For any restaurant, and certainly not seeming very Russian to me.
Was there for a birthday party. First two bottles of vodka and appetizers covered by the host, and then the main dish covered by us. And somehow I still ended up paying 35 Euros for a less than impressive meal.
The house requested we accept their choice of plates. I saw nothing really Russian in their choices (I've traveled to Russia and had Russian food before). I even spoke to some of my Russian friends about the food we ate there they were surprised. Maybe its what the house brought out, but mash potato paddies, and steamed broccoli and cauliflower are not very Russian to me. I can't even remember what else was on the plate because I was so less than impressed.
Save your money, go somewhere else. At least the paintings on the wall was nice and the table cloth and napkins represented St Petersburg.... This place gets two stars because the Vodka was decent and I didn't get food poisoning. Also, bathroom was fine. read more
