This is a subjective restaurant review. It probably deserves 2.5 stars, but because it is one of…read moremaybe... the only restaurant in Switzerland that has a theme (and a Texmex-cowboy theme at that) it gets 3. I've been here before w/my friends Big P, his bro Roger and my sis - and I recall the salsas being better. That time we had the margaritas, but they were tiny and crazy expensive. This time I attempted to order a bottle of wine, but the waitress didn't understand. The problem was later rectified however. First and main problem with this place: The trio of sauces served are, none of them, spicy. The guacamole is decent at least, but the other sauces are down right sweet. This offends my sensitivities as a Texan. I ordered the fajitas and asked for chicken and beef, though it came with more peppers and onions than anything, and far more chicken than beef. Knowing meat is NOT in short supply here, that perplexed me. Thank goodness for the hot peppers and guacamole though -they were pretty good. I did miss the traditional sides of pico, beans, etc however. My husband ordered a strange burger (strange as the top bun had a whole cut out of the center) on a suggestion from a friend. He said it was OK but he couldn't finish it. The thing is, Switzerland needs to step outside the box and maybe take a venture half way round the world and see what real Texmex n BBQ are like - then bring it back. Not to mention open up to other culinary cultures (aside from just pizza - though thank goodness they at least have some Italian food as well). It's a cool place to go for something different, and I definitely get why the Swiss like it - but as with everything in Switzerland, it is oddly over priced for no clear reason.

This place literally saved my life....well perhaps that's an overstatement but after a week in…read moreItaly and all the pasta, we were hankerin' for something a little more familiar and found this place near the ol' train station and popped in for lunch. The first thing you notice is how hard the are trying with the Wild West theme and it makes for some interesting and inadvertent faux pas like the sign that says "Indian peoples" or the fenced off section of tables with a sign above reading "the saloon" both are in English. Despite all the American cues and geography being Switzerland, everything else is Italian including menu and servers. Nonetheless it was pretty easy to decipher with the pictures and mostly familiar looking words like "iceberg lettuce" and "catsup." I ordered the Navajo burger (essentially a cheese burger with lettuce and something like McD' "special sauce") while my wife chose the American burger (their take on a bacon cheese burger except they don't really have American bacon and the strips were not even close to crispy) and each came with thin crispy perfectly cooked French fries. The burgers came out fairly quickly with what tasted and looked like grilled patties and buns. They even asked how we wanted the burgers prepared. The burgers had good flavor and were probably 1/4 or 1/3 lb sized so plenty for lunch. While not the very best burger I've ever had, it was certainly the best one I've had in the past week. My only complaint was the price ChF56 for lunch was a bit much, but a small price to pay for a taste of home.
