This Mc Donald's is so different than the one in US: very clean and fancy. The staff were super nice. The menu is so different with variety of different coffee and sauces. Kiosk has English options. I tried the tasty burger with bacon and that's the freshest Mc Donald's burger Ive ever had. The patty is meaty and juicy. It doesn't taste grainy like what I had back in US.

But we saw that they had a burger with raclette cheese and that was enough to make it unique! Asllani's specializes in burgers but they have other options if you're not interested. Given that there's a couple thousand reviews on Google, I would recommend getting there early if you have a large group. They don't take reservations and there was already a line before the restaurant opened. Since we had a large group and it was a nice, summer day, we opted to sit on the patio under the shade. The burgers are kind of expensive, compared to the US, but they're big. For an extra 8 CHF, you can make it a combo with fries or salad and coleslaw. I didn't know you could actually pick truffle Parmesan fries for the combo and ended up ordering it separately. The burger itself was really good and I'm not sure if it was the raclette cheese. I think even with any type of cheese, the burger would've been just as delicious. I mean, our entire group had different types of burgers and they all really liked theirs. Highly recommend if you're in the area! It's a nice break if you're trying Swiss cuisine everyday. A couple of notes though: they don't take Amex credit cards and they'll charge for tap water.

We ended up ordering take out as that was a 30min wait. My friend and I got the cheeseburger. He got the side of fries and I got the salad. They both were delicious. The menu states "fries or salad, includes coleslaw" but there is no coleslaw. It's more fries, salad, OR coleslaw". My other friend got the Raclette burger and he devoured it. The burgers are a VERY good size. I was only able to eat half of it. Again, make sure you make reservations.

Shocking level of unprofessionalism from the staff of waitresses…read more I urgently ran in during a medical emergency and said, "Hey, where's your restroom?! I'll even buy something, I just need a restroom!!" I did greet the employees. "Hey" apparently wasn't the greeting she expected, and she stopped to scold me, "We say HELLO first..." Rather than immediately directing someone in obvious distress to the restroom, she chose to scold me on "etiquette," was reluctant to point me in the right direction, and treated me with unnecessary attitude. Every second spent policing a greeting was a second taken away from helping someone dealing with an urgent medical emergency. After handling the emergency, I returned to make a payment and calmly explained that I had not meant any disrespect and was simply in a difficult situation. Again, I was met with the same lack of empathy from the remaining staff members taking my payment. Everyone is entitled to a basic standard of politeness. What surprised me was the inability to recognize when common sense and basic compassion should take precedence over petty formalities. Uncalled for pettiness and attitude IS bad service AND poor treatment. 0 stars from me. I absolutely started with "Hey!"

The atmosphere was special, especially knowing you're dining at the "Top of Interlaken." The raclette and cheese fondue were paired wonderfully with the potatoes and bread. Service was friendly and efficient, even with the restaurant being busy. I wish our server taught us how to eat the potatoes with the cheese fondue. We realized too late that there were only 2 small pieces of potatoes in the bag, and there were 3 of us. There was a minimum order for us to get a table. The serving was light. It's a bit pricier than a typical meal, but you're paying for quality, tradition, and one of the best views in the region -- so it's worth it.

The funicular ride up is quick, unfortunately not too scenic, and never feels too high, and at the top the air is cool and comfortable, with no breathless feeling at all. We arrived in september and had very good weather.Amazing sunshine for what we thought would be cold and wet. We ate on the Panorama Restaurant terrace, looking straight down over Interlaken, both lakes, and the tiny homes scattered through the valley. Absolutely breathtaking.I know a lot of people say that, but until you've been there. You can't speak on it. THE GRUB: we ordered the cheese fondue with bread and potatoes serving for one as we don't eat a lot. We also ordered a pizza.I don't remember what it was because I only have pictures , and it was about three months ago. ,and it went down the gullet so fast I probably didn't taste it much. The cheese fondue with bread and potatoes was hot, flavorful, and filling, and the pizza had a crisp crust, melted cheese, and enough toppings to feel like a real meal. Service was friendly and efficient, and we never felt rushed. Bixby we dealt with two step particularly, and they actually seemed interested in where we were from, and what we thought about Switzerland and the restaurant. Harder Kulm gave us exactly what we wanted: an easy‑to‑reach viewpoint where we could breathe(elevation...Hello).,We enjoyed fondue for the first time in any country, and a well built pizza, as well as and soak in one what I would call the best of the best balcony‑style views over Switzerland's lakes and valleys.

Restaurant is pretty large; it has 2 sections with plenty of seating. Dishes ordered (+drinks): -House specialty drinks -Rioja red bottle of wine -Sweet potatoes vegan dish -Spinach salad -Green salad w French dressing -Pan-fried trout -White chocolate cheesecake -Lemon sorbet -Chocolate lava cake All of the dishes were delicious, seasoned as described on the menu. I really appreciated that they had a section on the menu dedicated to those with food allergies. What a brilliant idea!! Waitress was attentive. Since it was New Year's Eve, we were entertained by a traditional bell march of about 15 individuals banging huge bells. It was pretty cool. Lasted about 2 minutes. The staff could have been a bit warmer. Perhaps the language barrier was a factor. Also, adding small plates for the bread on the table would be a good idea.

I was highly anticipating this…read morerestaurant because my paragliding guide, who has lived here forever, recommended it, but Interlaken surely has a few better Swiss food options and this is not one of them. If you care about the actual food, skip this place. I care about food far more than service, and this place was a huge disappointment. I ordered the beef stew, which my waitress recommended, and the meat was unbearably dry and chewy, not even the gravy could save it. Seriously, it was the worst-quality beef I can remember having at a restaurant. The Pinot Noir was excellent, but that was the only highlight. I had a reservation for 9 and showed up early at 8:45. On the phone they had said the kitchen closed at 9:30, but when I arrived no one attended my table until 8:58, when the waitress rushed over and told me the kitchen closes at 9. Meanwhile, the table next to me placed their order at 9:15 without issue. There was no silverware on the table, and I was never checked on once after my food arrived, which was very frustrating. The most frustrating part is that my meal for one person, including the dish and two glasses of wine, was $50 Franks. For that price, I expect far better quality. I expect better, truly. Please refer to photos for the dry beef stew meat.
