    Pupusas, platanos, yucca, beans!

A wonderful immersive experience! The food was super tasty. The service was efficient. An added bonus: the server spoke only in Spanish. It was a great refresher and added to the flavor of the evening.

This was my first time here but will not be my last. I tried the Typical Salvadoran Plate and it was amazing. There was nothing on the plate that I did not like.

Platano frito and a pupusa with salsa

I ordered pupusas revueltas and a side of platano Fritos. Being Mexican I eat my platano fritos or plantains as a dessert and not with my meal like most salvodrians so I request my plantains with no cream or beans. With that being said, the platanos were amazing, not too greasy or soggy like at other salvodrian places. They were semi firm just like my mommy makes them, if I had lechera/condensed milk I would have gladly poured that on top to make it an even sweeter dessert. The pupusas were really good and a nice size but was lacking cheese, me personally I like my pupusas very cheesy and meaty and I didn't get that from these, because this is so close to my home I will be returning for the platanos and if I ever crave pupusas late at night and don't want to drive to my spot in irving.

It's hard to find good saldadorean restaurants in the Arlington/GP area without having to drive out, and this is a family favorite!

The food is highly priced for no reason! Not good at all, had the worst stomach pain after. Food is drenched in oil!

A little jewel of a restaurant in a plain strip mall. Warm, friendly and courteous service. Delicious food. Reasonably priced.

He ordered the pork and cheese pupusa, but it lacked flavor, and the accompanying cabbage was not fresh or appetizing. I had the fried fish, which was overcooked to the point where it was dry and tough--fried all the way to the bone with no seasoning or flavor. The service was also lacking. Our waitress took our order, brought the food, and never checked on us again. The only positive thing I can say is that the beans and rice were actually pretty good. Sadly, that wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the experience. We won't be returning.

Cheese is always melty and not crispy and burnt. The rice and breads are good. I've had the tamale and they're good as well. My husband has had the flautas and they're great and fresh. I always recommend people drive out to Duncanville to Don Pedro's pupusas bc you won't find any this good anywhere in Dallas. You can tell it's family ran so give them some grace. They've always been very nice to us when we've gone and if we ever needed anything, we're usually one of 3 groups there so it's easy to walk up to the counter and ask for anything else. Been wanting to try their Spanish karaoke night in fridays I believe but haven't had the time.

I appreciated it having English & Spanish descriptions. There were two of us, two menus they brought, and only one water. Had to ask for the 2nd one after we realized it really wasn't coming. They bring you chips & salsa. That salsa is good but it is spicy! Proceed with caution & ensure beverage readily available. We got a bean & cheese papusa just to try. It was decent. I actually don't remember if it had cheese i'd order again with different filling. I enjoyed my chicken quesadillas. They were stuffed with meat and the side portion of rice and beans was large and good. The cheese to meat ratio wasn't right for a quesadilla - some ate more like a soft taco than quesadilla) but my arteries are probably in a better place with less cheese. The beans could benefit from a tad of flavor. I was supposed to get pico but believe we may have had a communication issue as my Mom asked for no pico (on hers). Not a biggie though. My Mom enjoyed the nachos. Chips are different than what we're used to. We were both disappointed in the consistency, taste & flavor of the guacamole. It was not good, seemed to come from a tube, near revolting. The prices are a little on the high end. We both brought half our meals home so not so bad when divided out that way. Unfortunately I'm not fluent in spanish so there was a minor language barrier but all the staff were smiling, welcoming, and we did well enough! I would like to go back to try more.

My first time I came here during my pupusas craving phase and made the trek here in hopes it was as good as I thought it would be. Its located on the corner in downtown Plano, it's a small location with parking behind the building. First time I decided on the queso, chicarron and revueltas( pork, bean and cheese) pupusas. All the pupusas were so good, the revueltas being my favorite. The pork in the revueltas was savory, I could actually taste all the ingredients and it had the perfect amount of cheese. Their salsa was ok, on the mild side. Still searching for a pupusas spot with really spicy sauce, but the curtido is one of my favs because it has that perfect vinegar kick that I love. Now.....I don't know what happened between my first visit and this recent visit which was maybe 4 months apart but it was like night and day in flavor. I ordered the chicharron and revueltas pupusas again but decided to branch out and ordered 1 chicken taco and 1 lengua taco. The pupusas were not the flavorful pupusas I had the first time. Also, the revueltas pupusas was really lacking in ingredients; I couldn't taste much pork or beans it was pretty cheese heavy. The chicken taco was just ok it needed way more flavor, but the lengua taco was on point it was very tender and not to fatty. Curtido still hits, mild sauce i could take or leave but the green sauce that I got was great, I hate that I only got 1 small cup because It really added good flavor to my food. I also tried the tres leches which is one of my favorite types of cake and it was not good to me at all. Despite the cake still having a few days before it expired it tasted old to me and had a flavor on the backend that I couldn't identify and made me wary of finishing it. The customer service was good both times and there is a good amount of seating inside. Maybe I caught them on an off day but because this place is not that close to me, it will be a long time before I return. Back on the pupusa hunt!
