Im Salvadoran. so I ordered thinking I was going to get fresh food the reason it's burnt is because there precooked and put bk on the griddle after ordering. They taste like nothing but cheese. I had high hope for this local place especially during COVID I wanted to support local places. Unfortunately this place totally let me down. First! When I walked in the place there were no masks not for the patrons but the cashier or the cooks either. Then the food was awful the pupusas were nothing but masa and not cheese or filling. The plátanos were dry and no crema or frioles included. Never going back and that makes me sad. read more

I was looking forward to eating here. After going over their menu I placed my order with Kurina and waited, they didn't seem busy. I noticed it was taking a while, yet decided to wait hoping I was next. Thirty minutes passed and decided to ask for my order and when I asked the cashier, she said it wasn't ready yet. Waited a few more minutes and they called out a name which wasn't mine and when I told her what name it was under, the cook told them the order had already been ready. So dissatisfied with the customer service they provided. They saw me waiting there and didn't ask a single question. No la corran, mejor enséñenle cómo atender al cliente. I never had Salvadoran food before so this was a bit of an "exotic" visit for me and my hubby and it ended up being a great experience, they have a variety of dishes in the menu, from Mexican to Caribbean including dishes with plantain and yuca, we also tried dishes with weird names and everything was delicious. The girl who took care of us was super nice, the food took a while to come out but it was just made, hot and it worth the wait. We'll be back for sure! read more

I ordered pupusas revueltas and a side of platano Fritos. Being Mexican I eat my platano fritos or plantains as a dessert and not with my meal like most salvodrians so I request my plantains with no cream or beans. With that being said, the platanos were amazing, not too greasy or soggy like at other salvodrian places. They were semi firm just like my mommy makes them, if I had lechera/condensed milk I would have gladly poured that on top to make it an even sweeter dessert. The pupusas were really good and a nice size but was lacking cheese, me personally I like my pupusas very cheesy and meaty and I didn't get that from these, because this is so close to my home I will be returning for the platanos and if I ever crave pupusas late at night and don't want to drive to my spot in irving. read more

This is a new restaurant near my work and I tried only appetizers for lunch. I had Pupusa's (mixed) that were well flavored and mild. The slaw and sauce was perfect. I also tried a chicken tamale which was interesting and tasty. The texture was fluffy and custard like (quite good!). My friend ordered traditional Tex Mex chicken enchilada's and was pleased. Décor better than expected and I will go again and try a complete meal. Very friendly staff. It is a bit hidden on N. side of Pioneer just East of carrier in a shopping center. This food is a cut above what other Mexican cafés in this area serve...... BRAVO. read more

I don't know what was more dissapointing today on our visit the service or the food. We use to love coming here and today we made the decision to not go back again. Their food has been very off seems to be very dry like they over cooked it. The waitress wasn't friendly at all either. Apparently they were out of tamales de pollo so she decided to just put an elote one on the ate and when my husband said het didn't like that kind she just ignored it. One word... YUM! Have ordered the mixed entrée that gives you a taste of several items,, the steak entrée... and the pupusas. All are delicious, well made and fresh. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful in understanding the menu. And that fruit drink is freaking GOOD! Wish I could remember the name. It's a small establishment, but everything about this place adds up to a grand experience. When you walk in the first thing you will notice is the delicious aromas. The menu has great variety and leaves you wanting to sample many items. We tried four entrees and everything on our plates were delicious. The portions were sizable too. I had come to this restaurant before. I had ordered the beef soup very tasty and their pupusas were good. Today I ordered the carne desebrada. The cooked burned it you can see chunks of burn and you could taste it. I told the waitress that my meat was burnt. The waitress looked at me and took the plate. She comes back not even 5 minutes and brings me the same plate only the burnt pieces taken off. I told the waitress I dint want anything and to tell the cook I was not stupid I knew what she did just took the burn pieces out. I am very disappointed because a restaurant should always served quality of food. I'm a paying customer is not like the food is given for free. They gave me a discount because I dint eat the burnt meat. They acted like they were doing me a favor. read more

Yassssss!!!!! The food of my people! :D The food here is soooooo good! Every time I come to the Dallas area I make sure to stop here! I normally get the pupusas here, cause you can literally never go wrong with pupusas! The pupusas here are absolutely delicious! They're filled with lots of cheese and the curtido on the side makes them even better! My mouth is literally watering as I think about the food here! Since I'm a complete fatty I also get the platanos from their breakfast menu (available all day), which are also very tasty! The horchata and natural jucies are delicious as well! :) The waitresses have always been very kind to my family and I and provide excellent service. I would also recommend trying their pan dulce, which is tasty as well! :) read more

My family are from El Salvador, so I know my Salvi food lol. This place was great. I ordered the chicken sandwich and was very tasty. It can be weird to some people if they find the chicken leg in the sandwich, but some people make it that way just simply take out the meat out of the bone I promise you its tasty. The sauce is on point. They add cucumbers, salvadorean coleslaw (curtido), mayo, mustard, tomatoes, radish all in a french bread. I also ordered the pupusas mixtas which is different from what I'm used to. They add the lorroco with beans, pork, and cheese. While my bf and I were waiting on our to go order the server offered us free nachos with steak, pico, guac, and sour cream bc i guess it was a wrong order, hey free food lol which was delicious. The steak was very tender. I thought it was a nice gesture from the server. It's a small hole in the wall place with delicious authentic food, a good amount of items on the menu, great service and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend. One of the best salvadorean restaurants I been, definitely the best one in Texas I been to. read more
