Our family dined at this lovely location a few weeks ago, where we had to take a ferry from Stockholm to Ekero for this restaurant. On a beautiful, sunny day in August, an oceanfront restaurant couldn't be topped by anything else at the moment.
CRABFISH TOAST APPETIZER (5/5): I don't recall the exact title of this appetizer, but we were very pleased with the taste of the fresh fish, complemented by the toast that was topped with caviar and offered with a lemon wedge for that extra tangy twist. Great starter prior to dinner.
VEAL (5/5): I chose to have the veal that was paired with the most amazing truffle sauce, creme fraiche, potatoes and greens. On the heavier side, but so, so good. Highly recommended. The veal was not the most tender, but still delicious.
PILSNER (5/5): My meal was nicely paired with an ice-cold, light pilsner beer.
PASSIONFRUIT CHEESECAKE (4/5): Pretty light. Good flavor. Shared with my brother because we were stuffed from dinner!
STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM SUNDAE (5/5): Grandmother's choice. Very rich, and light at the same time from the ice cream. I'd recommend this over the cheesecake!
AMBIANCE (5/5): I have to separately write about this because I was so interested in their interior design. I stopped to snap a shot of the bar setting. So beautiful, modern, and chic. The outdoors patio had a gorgeous view of the ocean with boats parked at the dock. Plenty of seating, and plenty of blankets for those who got cold during the night.
