We ate like Kong's here on a local suggestion. We smacked ate and drank way too long. The food was great and this was late night. After 2200

Best was the ragout which is not pictured. Near the Square but local Prices were s tad higher than other places but the service and food was outstanding! Our waitress was more of a local tour guide with excellent English. Her tips made the rest of our stay even better!!

Yummy yummy food. I came here because it was close to the hotel, and upon walking past I noticed it is a Michelin restaurant, so that piqued my interest. There is an extensive menu, which usually to me is a bad sign as it's hard for a restaurant to do everything well, but the food ordered was very good. I did like that there was a lot of choices, from traditional polish cuisine to less traditional. As a bonus, there is a live pianist and violinist to add to the ambiance, so that made the dining experience very enjoyable. On an unrelated note to my rating, but just wanted to mention, I noticed was that the waitresses are dressed like the floral tablecloths. Like they looked like walking tablecloths. I'm not sure what to make of it as the waiters weren't dressed similar. Is there a method to that madness?

Lovely old fashioned restaurant. Went for lunch and we (our group of 7) shared a couple plates of pierogis, a plate of golabki (stuffed cabbage rolls) and a salad. All of the items were very tasty. Good - friendly service. Perhaps a little pricey but not too bad. Everyone enjoyed it!

So after 4 weeks of being in Poland this has to be my favorite traditional restaurant. Everything I ate was amazing the customer service was great and the wine was fantastic. Probably the best red wine I've ever had definitely check this place out.

Nice place with good local food. A bit old fashioned- except the waitresses, they provide great service. English speaking, menu also in German.

This place was pretty good. Kinda fancy but i went in there with jeans and no one cared. The menu has a huge selection and almost all of the stuff seemed good. I ordered the sweet cabbage dumplings and they were amazing! The dumplings had caramelized onions on top and they just added a lot to the dish. I thought it was a little bit oily but it was still really good. My mom ordered the mushroom soup and she thought it was very good. My dad ordered a steak and he ordered it medium rare when it was usually rare. He didn't like his steak that much but he thought if he ordered the way they do it usually it would have been better. We also got a side of potato dumplings which were ok. They were chewy but i think they are supposed to be. I wish they had seasoning or salt and pepper. I wouldn't forget about dessert! We ordered the warm apple pie with ice cream and it was delicious! The ice cream was amazing on top! I would definitely recommend the apple pie! (do it warm) I liked my meal and the atmosphere I would recommend if you wanted something a little bit fancier but still cheap!

There were two rooms and I sat in the long one (the ceiling arc reminded me of a tunnel for some reason) with the duck mural. The menu contained lots of Polish dishes and a dedicated duck section. A duck and pickles appetizer was served gratis. It spread easily on the accompanying slices of bread and was nice. I've not had duck presented like this before and when I piled a couple of the smaller pickle pieces on top the tartness added more complexity for the flavors. I'd order this if it was on their menu. Zurek soup tasted a little tangy and was filled with sausage, mushroom, potatoes plus a whole egg and was delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect but all the different ingredients made for an enjoyable bowl. The bread bowl also contributed by thickening the soup as it abosrbed the broth. The duck breast with smoked plum sauce was thick, cooked medium and very tender. There was a little too much sauce for me but I liked the different taste. The side of glazed carrots and peas had a hint of sweetness and completed the dish along with the potato gnocchi. Service overall was good and efficient. Would return.

I am from the United States so I can honestly say these were the best pierogi I've ever had (and my grandparents made great pierogi!) The service was attentive and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We dined around 4pm so we were seated right away but we were told that the other side of the restaurant was already booked for reservations starting at 5. I suggest making a reservation if you plan on dining at a typical dinner time. This was also on a Tuesday so I imagine they are quite busy throughout the week as well.

When we visited around noon, there were only two parties ahead of us, so the wait wasn't bad at all. We ordered the daily special, a chicken cordon bleu served with potatoes and a side of vegetables that tasted a bit like coleslaw. We also tried two kinds of fried pierogi: spinach and feta, and pickled cabbage with white mushrooms. It was my first time trying pierogi, and I really enjoyed them. They reminded me of dumplings, but were served with sour cream on the side, which added a nice touch. Ordering was very straightforward. You simply place your order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

The decor of this milk bar was by far the most inviting of the ones I've seen or visited on this trip. Even the menu stood out with the colorful handwritten blackboard. Staff were very friendly. I grabbed an open seat and shared a table with three others. Staff came over to deliver my utensils and quickly highlight the menu. I walked up to the counter to place my order and pay. I decided to get the daily special and deviated from the Polish cuisine I've been eating the whole time here. The mushroom soup was big and delicious with a strong mushroom flavor. The chicken curry was meaty and tasty sauce with fluffy basmati rice. Well worth visiting and I can see why this place was busy all day. .

The cheese plate and tartare were not accompanied with any bread or crackers. The cheese selection was boring in my opinion. The queens jam is not my thing. The stake tartare was so good. The goose liver pate was delicate, without too much of the earthy aroma that sometimes pate can have. The cranberry gelee offset the richness of the pate. It had a nice crispy exterior, and not too much fat. I had their pan fried beets on the side, and they were smooth and delicate, without over being overpowering. I was curious about the delicate cabbage leaves that look like the wings of its namesake (little doves or pigeons). It was everything I thought it would be, and more. I'm so glad that we tried them. It's popular for a reason. I really appreciated the fresh mushrooms, and the filling of buckwheat. It made the rolls so light. It felt like comfort food at its best. Very delicious! They can make them gluten-free as well. In fact, the menu has a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions. They'll ask you right away if you have any allergies to certain foods. The service was great. Everything was explained very well. We couldn't pass up dessert. They all looked so good. My husband decided to get the Basque Cheesecake. It's not on the menu, but they'll let you know if it's available by request. I was tossed between the Egg Nog Cake and the Chocolate Cherry Cake. Both have some form of liquor in it. The Egg Nog Cake or Ajerkoniakowy Tort was my absolute favorite of the 2 desserts. I really liked the eggnog filling. I'd think it would be rum (like the Polish Kogel Mogel punch), but we were told that the vodka works better in their recipe. They were right. It's definitely heavenly. What I love is that there were more locals eating there. I didn't see any tourists. It's kind of off the beaten path. We decided to head on over to Kazimierz since it's not very far from this resraurant. It all worked out perfectly. I'd love to return one day to try other menu items. Everything looked great.
