Not to be confused with Vest Stop, where you can buy wife beaters. These rest areas are pretty elaborate and it can be annoying to get into them because there are several buildings and it's a little confusing as to where their bathrooms are but they are nice facilities and they seem perfectly safe. In other news, have you seen any run-on sentences around these parts.

Great rest area, nicely landscaped! Clean, climate controlled, snacks and soda machines, covered picnic pavilion area. Great place to stretch your legs and if you have kids let them run off some pent up energy. Even some cool interactive history on display. Very impressed.

"On the road again - Just can't wait to get on the road again. The life I love is making music with my friends And I can't wait to get on the road again. On the road again - Goin' places that I've never been. Seein' things that I may never see again And I can't wait to get on the road again." Thanks for that, Willie! Nothing better than travel. Nothing better than a little road trip. This has got to be the most amazing rest area in Texas. You know that everything is bigger in Texas, right? This rest area is living proof. There are two sets of men's and women's restrooms. There is also a family/assisted restroom and the facilities are handicapped accessible. The lobby and lavatories are air conditioned. There are picnic tables and a playground. And also a storm shelter. And informational displays. This one is northbound. And they have a mirrored imagine for the southbound traffic. We were amazed first, by how big it was. And how stylist it is. Incredible design and workmanship. The rock work is well done, even the concrete pours is beautiful. Unbelievably clean! What is the world is going on here? Freaky!! This is a VERY relaxing place to make a pit stop. We only regret that we failed to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy here. It's really that nice!!

This rest stop is nice and clean but the only complaint I have is that the restroom stalls don't have locks on the door.

ROADSIDE REST STATIONS Along the dusty roads in America,…read morerunning on long highways, roads with trees and mountains on both sides, or wild deserts... The roads run fast and serve, every time you want to stop, find the rest stops located inside the road, with quiet, relaxing rest rooms, with maps, recharge your body, send love to the ground. Texas has many rest stops on both roads, small, fragrant, clean and tidy by users, with a few cleaning staff. I drove to Dallas, stopped at the Safe Rest Area: Navarro County South Grassland located on I-45, Richland, TX 76681. This place is small but cute, beautiful space, displaying old oil rigs, historical information, relaxing garden. After resting, feeling refreshed, get in the car and continue the journey. The Navarro County Safe Rest Area in Richland, TX offers a convenient and safe stop for travelers looking to take a break from their journey.

They appear to be quite similar. I was at the southbound one. I took a space all the way at the end so I could hopefully avoid the truckers slowing down with their engine brakes and also idling all night. Yes, I am traveling in my RV Sprinter van and spent the night here. It was really quiet. The rest area features a really nice playground and a large building that has wifi, vending machines, places to sit (with power outlets!) and very clean restrooms. The $3.00 for a soda was too much though. [Review 807 of 2024 - 562 in Texas - 21838 overall]

Awesome rest stop on I-20 West! There are signs on the highway letting you to know where to exit…read moreand where cars should park along with 18 wheelers. This stop is about 2 hours before making your way into the "BIG D" Dallas, Tx. At this location they have restrooms for use that are clean and hand washing areas with soap and also have vending machines to pick up those last minute drinks and snacks. They have a lot of TX themed things to show and educate to the non Texas people about how beautiful our state is and they also provide a nice Texas Sized map to show the different regions and areas that compromise the Great State of Texas. They have benches to sit on and rest along with picnic tables with plenty of big Texas sized trees for shade. What I found cool was the nature trails they have. If you go behind the restrooms and pavilion you will find a sign telling you where the nature trails are located. It is these trails located about a 3 minute walk where you can walk into nature and cross bridges in the woods but still clearly see the freeway in eye distance. I guess its a good thing to walk if you have clearly been on the road all day trying to get out of Tx and your eyes are tired of focusing on the road all day, or maybe your destination is close ahead but just like to enjoy that Tx heat and what the state has to offer. Great rest stop to rest your eyes, use the restroom, pick up some snacks, and lastly to get back on the road! Drive safe and as always Happy Yelping!
