Called to have a few things fixed in our new home. Jennifer was great in getting us scheduled ASAP. We needed our cold water faucet valve replaced that day as it was necessary to get our new appliances delivered. Upon arrival, we walked around and gave the handyman our list, with the washer valve being the top priority. He proceeded to start on a different project first, which is fine. He informed us he wouldn't be able to do three out of six items on our list due to it being a weekend and one because we had ordered the wrong shower part (totally our mistake). We had noticed a fan was wobbly, but when he turned it on it worked fine so no work was needed there(this was added to our final receipt as "fixed"). The handyman then proceeded to fix an outside hose faucet that was leaking, needing to make a trip to home depot for a new hose bibb. After doing that he then started on our top priority item. We were informed the valve would have to be cut off and a hole needed to be made in the drywall to do so, but he wouldn't be able to texture and paint the wall after due to time (even though we said this would be our most important item at the beginning). He suggested we replaced both cold and hot water faucets and I agreed as he was already going to be making a hole in the wall. After he left, we realized he only did the cold water faucet. Overall we paid over $300 for this service, and while we definitely needed the cold water faucet replaced ASAP and really had no other choice, we probably won't be contacting them again. Maybe it was just this particular handyman as I believe there is a whole network of handymen, but we were left feeling like there was really poor communication and poor time management. read more

I requested a handyman come out and do a couple of basic things, including helping me set up my sprinkler timer in a new house. He was very personable, helpful, and full of useful tips on how I could take care of some of the things myself, in the future (specifically on the sprinkler/drip system). As he was installing curtain rods, he checked in every little bit if there was any question about how I might want something done, which made me feel very confident that I didn't have to keep an eye on things. After he'd closed out the timer for the bill, he also spent a little of his own time making recommendations for how I might go about making other improvements I'd mentioned considering. Because there is a initial flat rate cost and then a cheaper hourly rate after that, I will be sure to try to consolidate the list of items and get more done at once, rather than having them done piecemeal. We called Response Crew to repair/replace the rollers on three of our large sliding doors. They were very prompt and professional. We had them come out a second time because one of the doors was not gliding smoothly. Turns out a tile space had gotten inside the track and was causing the door to jam up. Had new tile installed by different vendor and it appears that they did not tape the door jam, which allowed one of the T-spacer to enter the track. So appreciate the easy way Response Crew conducts their business! Highly recommend their services. read more

I'm in a rental house and my property management company hired Response Crew. I could not have been happier with James' work. He installed a bathroom exhaust fan and fixed the dryer vent set up so it is usable. The way it was set up before he came the dryer had to be at least 12 inches from the wall and the laundry room door couldn't close. It made for a very narrow passage having the dryer so far out. He devised a "sliding" vent system (I don't even know what that is!) and now the dryer is pushed in place, works with good airflow, and I can close the laundry room door. I will continue to use James and Response Crew any time I need to call a handyman. read more

I was quite pleased that Jennifer was able to schedule us so quickly. We had a fabulous crew of Francisco and Ivan. They were gentleman, and they worked quickly for us. My husband needed to head down to Scottsdale to pick up an new vanity at Home Depot (the remediation team destroyed our original cabinet) so they managed to take their break at that time. The job was mostly finished in one day, but we were able to finish up the job with just a bit of plumbing and paint the room ourselves. They did not have to return the next day. I just recently had 3 things break down at my place and I was pleased to find one company to do all of them! And, do them all well!! I had my A/C break down in the dead of summer, a broken pool pump and a snapped spring on my garage door! All within 3 months of each other! We had a leak in the drain pipe that had to be reached from outside the house leaving a 9" x 16" hole in the stucco wall. Response Crew covered the hole and did the stucco texturing so you cannot tell there had been a hole there. Then cleaned everything up. Yesterday I had a new washer and dryer delivered to our house and as my luck would have it, and despite my expert measuring skills they did not fit in the space provided by 1/4in. The Lowe's delivery/installation crew said I would have to have some come remove the base board on along the wall so they could both slide in, then I would have to call Lowe's to reschedule the installation for them to finish the job. I am sure that sounds like an easy job to some people but not me! Thats where Response Crew comes in. I called at 12:30 yesterday to have someone come out and remove the baseboard and finish the installation so I did not have to have Lowe's come back out. Adam said he was able to get someone to my house in an hour!!! I was shocked! Sure enough at 1:25pm Dan showed up and was extremely helpful. He removed the baseboard just enough so it could slide in but without having to take it off the entire wall. He was quick, professional, and his work was flawless! He even looked at some other things around the house I might need help with and was able to give me a quote. He is very personable, professional and knowledgeable. He fixed a variety of issues in our house from Plumbing to putting a cable box back on an exterior wall. It had been hanging off the wall for a year! I think response crew charges a fair price for their service. I found scheduling easy and most important Alan showed up and showed up on time ready to work. He also gave me a call about 45 minutes before he arrived which I really appreciated. He finished the main task we had for him early, and he happily continue to repair a few other issues we have in our home. I had a side yard gate that came away from the blocks. I was told 1230pm was the appointment time and confirmed it. I was called and asked if I could push the time back due to a "chandelier emergency" in Scottsdale. I was told it would be around 4pm. It was nearly 7pm by the time he got here. After completing the job, I asked if I could pay with my credit card. He said, sure just lemme put my tools away. It took nearly 20 minutes for him to put his tools away and lock up a ladder on his roof. He then told me that he had been here earlier in the day at 2pm and realized it was an "easy" job, which is why he wanted to get the job in Scottsdale done first. It would seem more efficient to do the job that was "easy", especially since you were already here... After finally taking my payment, he asked me to give him a good review on Yelp even though he was late because "at least he got it done". He gave me a coupon for $25 off service to give to other people, yet did not offer any discount to me for being late and not communicating. I had to contact Adam via Yelp to find out what was going on... The job seems done adequately. Overall I can sum it up just like Yelp does for three stars as "A-OK". read more
