    I heard about hypnotherapy through a random conversation and started looking around for an expert…read moreto speak to. I found Josh and got in touch with him. I had a pretty open mind and no expectations. I was having a hard time managing my stress overall and felt like I had lost the will to dig deep. I was giving in to the temptation of food and doing a bit of anxiety eating. Josh and I worked on multiple areas throughout our sessions, but we managed to keep a constant focus on certain areas throughout. He's helped me kill off my anxiety eating, given me valuable tools to handle my stress (rooted in science), and helped me boost my resilience. Thanks to Josh, I've been able to dig into my past and face some of my previous experiences. He is very patient and understanding. I often got the impression that he'd heard my problem before and he knew exactly how to remedy it in our sessions. If you are skeptical, I highly recommend doing some of your own research and then hopping on a quick discovery call with Josh. As long as you approach your sessions with the mindset of letting go of expectations and trusting that you will progress, you will get a lot out of working with Josh in a short period of time.     When I first heard about hypnosis for weight loss I wasn't motivated and extremely skeptical. Then…read morethe time came when I decided that I wanted to release weight because it was holding me back socially and professionally. For most of my life I just ate what I wanted and ignored the obvious consequences. I didn't have the determination to stick with a diet. I had tried the pills; I didn't like the consequences. Once I decided to change, I researched hypnosis. I realized that it was effective for many health related concerns and decided to revisit my initial opinion about hypnosis for weight loss. Several changes have occurred since I began to use hypnosis for weight loss. I'm now more aware of my food choices and the consequences of those choices. In fact, recently, while at a party, I passed on cookies. I surprised myself. I now drink coffee without cream. Ice cream is less important. I've increased my physical activity. I walk a lot. The hypnotist didn't make me do this. I choose to. I feel that I have more control. I have talked to others who have experienced rapid and dramatic weight loss. However, my progress has been gradual and significant. Here are the hard numbers. I'm down 36 pounds. My BMI has dropped from 32.3 to 27.3. I'm delighted to be on the right track. Do you know what I like best? People coming up and saying, "Hey, you look great!" Oh, that puts a smile on my face every time! Kevin is fond of saying, "Your subconscious mind is your treasure chest. For some people their chest is hidden and locked. Fortunately, hypnosis is both the map and key to the treasure." Here's what I say. Life is complex. Why not stack the deck in your favor by using all of your assets, especially your subconscious. If you're ready for change, I recommend hypnosis.

I went for 3-4 sessions focusing on sleep and relaxation. Josh is a really pleasant guy and was really open about his training in hypnosis. His office is a part of a shared photography studio, which is a little strange. The room is huge and it feels a little surreal to be hypnotized in a huge room on a tiny couch. I felt really relaxed during the session and felt clearer afterwards. My sleeping patterns haven't improved drastically and I'm not willing to spend anymore money on hypnosis sessions at this time. Not sure how helpful it was but I'm guessing it might take longer than just a few sessions to see real improvement. It was a good introduction to hypnosis for me but I'm not sure what real benefit I received from the sessions.

I honestly didn't even consider hypnotherapy while…read moreI was studying to retake my nursing board exam, but my aunt encouraged me and told me that it may help me succeed. Josh had a nice office space where I truly felt relaxed from the moment I walked in. I told Josh that I was a little bit skeptical about the process and let him know of my resistance. He talked me through the process and was very patient. My goals for the session were to ease my testing anxiety, to not second guess myself in the exam, to recall information, and to get a good night's sleep and be able to eat the morning of the exam (I was not able to do either for my first test). The session was unexpectedly emotional, in a good way. It was very relaxing and healing, and I felt cleansed when I left. I remember saying "I don't even care if I pass this exam, this was worth every penny." Much to my surprise I slept like a baby that night and had a healthy appetite in the morning. I passed my test with a very high score (the highest possible) and the entire test took me less than 90 minutes. (The first time it took me almost 6 hours!). I am so happy that I went to see Josh, I know it made a huge difference and now I can proudly say I am a registered nurse! He even called me a couple days later to see how my exam went and told me he was thinking about me on exam day. I will definitely be returning to him, and I have highly recommended him to several friends and family members! :)
