I began working with her on the heels of a difficult break up, and she patiently helped me to find a path forward and regain my power. Within a couple months of our first session, the global pandemic hit and we moved from in person to video therapy -- the transition was seamless. I was single and living alone during that time, and Jana's empathy and support were a life line for me. She is kind, compassionate, and really takes the time to see and understand the full person. I still refer back to conversations we had and resources she gave me to navigate new challenges that I encounter in life. I am healthier today because of my time with Jana. When I started to consider a move away from the Chicago area, a major con on my list was that I could no longer work with Jana. I will be forever grateful to her for her time and heart. If you have the chance to work with her, cherish every moment. She's one of the best out there!

I stayed on with her when she graduated and was a hired as a clinician and saw her continuously until I moved out of the Chicagoland are. I wish I was still in Chicago because I would likely be seeing her to this day. She is kind, compassionate, understanding. She is a skilled therapist and I'm sure a great mentor to her colleagues. I am of a minority background of both race and religion and a lot of my struggles with anxiety were rooted in this. She really took her time to understand the nuances of my experiences, their social impact, and their impact on mental health. I have worked with about 10 therapists in my adult life and Jana is easily in the top 3 of my favorite and most skilled therapists to work with. If you are working with her--cherish your time together! If you are thinking of working with her--please take my recommendation in doing so. I have nothing but love and respect for Jana!

Heather brings everything to the table that you could want from a health coach--someone who has alleviated her own health symptoms and built her health coaching talents on top of an already solid foundation in therapy and counseling. Even though I am a certified health coach, I actually hired Heather to help me through my bad time management skills which caused me to eat poorly, which caused me to stress and caused weight to find its way back onto my frame. It was messy, but Heather attacked my issues one by one. She kept me on track with recommendations that were new to me and easy to follow. With her accountability & support, I've significantly slimmed down my grocery bills, Google calendar, waist and my cooking/prep times with her quick tips. I also attended her sugar workshop and, once again, she taught me new things and how to appreciate naturally sweet foods more than before. (Little known secret: Heather makes a mean gift bag for attendees!) So don't even hesitate to do the sugar workshops and sign up for coaching sessions. If she could teach this old health coach new tricks, then new clients will be nothing short of completely transformed.

I liked Heather's (the health coach) approach - she was very down-to-earth and didn't encourage people to completely cut out sweets; rather, she presented information on a variety of natural sweeteners. She also gave out healthy snacks and recipes which was awesome! Additionally, I was able to receive a health history which gave me a good perspective on my past and current habits. This is a great place!

Her time and dedication to bringing me back to life and improving my mental health were unmatched. She has always been available through text/email and even last minute sessions at the very end of the night where she had already had a full day. Our first year together was a battle. I was very stubborn in my viewpoint and we would consistently butt heads in the therapeutic process until one day - it just clicked. All the whiteboards images, and walkthroughs, all the examples and stories it just became so clear. So clear and now ingrained that if I try to go back to my old way of thinking or processing a literal cramp goes through my brain as if Jill was there with an electric shock button correcting my course of action. The closest people in my life have seen my growth and are envious of therapeutic relationship I have found with Jill. I, unfortunately, am leaving Chicago and was terrified to lose what we have built together that once again she has taken the extra step to enable virtual sessions so I can continue my progress and keep up with my new healthy lifestyle. If you want a change in your life and are willing to do the work even when the sessions make you want to relapse, go back and keep pushing. It's hard. Mental health is like exercising. It hurts but it feels so good when you accomplish a great session. Jill will never give up on you, but you must not give up on yourself.
