I'm a graduate of Northwestern University and was distraught over my outcomes with other psychiatrists. I felt like I didn't suffer through that school to be on disability. Susan is a breath of fresh air. While she isn't in-network with any insurance company, her prices are reasonable (she's worth every penny), and she will work with your insurance on things like getting your prescriptions covered, provide you with documentation if you have out-of-network coverage, and fill out any sort of job-related paperwork that may be needed. I think it's saying something that she keeps her patient population functioning so well that they can continue to see her, even in the rough times. Unlike so many other psychiatrists, to the best of my knowledge Susan doesn't have patients in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, or regularly in an inpatient setting. We're all contributing members of society and she keeps us that way. As psych patients, I believe that's the most we can ask for: to be indistinguishable from people without mental illness. Instead of using the 604.10B as a way to repair the father/son relationship damaged by other parties, she ignored the expertise of the psychologist who had 20 years of experience behind the research. Instead, Dr. Ofudo, with 1 year of experience, decided she knew better. Against the advice and recommendations of the psychologist of the 604.10B evaluation, she ended reunification therapy. This has caused a further strain and damage to an already challenged relationship. I have now not seen my son in two months and Dr. Ofudo refused to acknowledge the harm she caused or revert her stance once she was confronted with the details of the report. How can I or my family recover when psychologists with so little experience ignore irrefutable data from psychologists with decades of experience? To be frank, I don't think she even read the report because in a follow up conversation, she couldn't cite specifics from the report she was refuting. Instead, she referred to the whole report as a "he said/she said." If you know what a 604.10B, you know it is not a "he said/she said" but an in depth report conduct by experts. Dr. Ofudo is not qualified. She either read the report and disagreed with an expert and harmed my son's relationship with me, or didn't read the report and lied about it. Either way... GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

A formal complaint has been filed with the state regulatory board. I was a patient of Dr. Mills for over 6 years. During my last appointment, he felt it was appropriate to share his personal feelings on DEI and expressed that he is pleased with the way that things are shifting away from DEI to being "merit-based" because DEI was discriminatory to white men and people who are not LGBT+. As a woman who identifies as part of the LGBT+ community, I became very uncomfortable, told him that this was an inappropriate subject, and stated that I would be seeking a new provider to continue my treatment. He reacted appalled, and couldn't understand why I would be offended. I moved on and tried to go back to the purpose of the call: to assess my treatment and medication (am I eating, am I sleeping, etc). At the end of the appointment, I declined to schedule a follow up and immediately found a new provider. Three weeks later, I received an email from Dr. Mills with the subject line "termination". He attempted to terminate a relationship that was already terminated, acting as if I owed him an apology for standing my ground and expressing my discomfort while calling me "reactive and illogical". This rhetoric from a certified psychiatrist is not only inappropriate, it is abusive and damaging to patients who are seeking help. He is unable to manage his own emotions when a patient expresses discomfort on a subject and should not be trusted with providing support to anyone who needs mental health support/treatment. Avoid at all costs. Email text is as follows: Good morning Amy After thinking about our last conversation on 9/24, I have decided it is in my best interest to terminate our working relationship. I did absolutely NOTHING wrong by explaining that some folks are pleased with the shift away from DEI to a merit-based system. That is not even an opinion...it is REALITY. I called to urban balance to refund the amount that I had pre paid for the meeting but they kept me telling I should contact billing department. WHY SHOULD I SPEND MY TIME TO CONTACT ANYONE WHEN ITS THEIR FAULT? I emailed back to the therapist to not push me into getting myself for the meeting that we did not agreed upon with a screenshot of our prior email in which she had agreed to have a meeting on 4th of October. The therapist didn't even bothered to apologize for wasting my time and money. She has now scheduled 3 more appointments with me which I can see on my urban balance dashboard. I am mind-blown with her audacity. I wanted to love this place but they are irresponsible bunch of people.

It felt like broad conclusions were drawn from very limited information while the primary reason I pursued testing was largely overlooked. Even more frustrating, many of the recommendations were approaches I had already pursued over the past four years without success. That made the report feel generic rather than personalized to my history or circumstances. I also never had the opportunity to meaningfully discuss the findings with a licensed professional, despite waiting months for this process. Overall, I left feeling that my time, money, and concerns were not treated with the level of care or expertise I expected. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're seeking a comprehensive, individualized psychological evaluation.
