This mental health practice is a hidden gem. I've been going here for 8 years. I have an excellent…read morePsychiatrist best I've ever had. He is extremely thorough, caring, passionate about helping people and very easy to talk to. I always feel relieved after my sessions. Also have great therapist who has helped me through some very hard times and the front desk staff are all very helpful and friendly. Not sure about the poor reviews I have recommended this place to my friends and family, and if I could give higher than five stars, I would. Dr. Peculis is a top notch provider and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Alison has been a huge component in helping my daughter find peace, acceptance, as well as sharing her thoughts of confusion and anger. When my daughter first met with Alison I thought this was never going to work. By nature my daughter guarded and can be stubborn. I think the first session was a silent match. I thought nothing was happening, but there was something happening. My daughter was establishing her stance, showing her that she wouldn't talk if she didn't want to. Alison never gave up on my daughter. Slowly but surly my daughter has opened up to Alison, she has earned her trust. With Alison's support my daughter is healing. Not only has Alison played a huge role as part of my daughters recovery, she is also helping me become a better mom. Every child is different and need to be parented in a way that works for that child as an individual. Alison has given me great feedback on how I can best support my child. When I reflect on the things that I am grateful for Alison is always on my gratitude list. She is dedicated to the children she supports and doing something that really matters! If I could give her 6 stars I would.

This is worst support I could get, this is a scam. Marina the therapist ruined my daughters life…read more Please parents don't get a therapist from them till a Dr see the child and then recommends the path forward. She set her up against the family, when my daughter was suffering from severe anemia hence anxiety and we as a family were helping her cope with school . The worst case is I went out of network as they are in the same facility as the PCP so they could work together and solve the issue. Her medical issue caused ADHD type symptoms and this was in the intake form and no blood tests was done. I dont understand what her training entails. She told the PCP and yet between them, they did not do the test and when I read about iron issues and parents going to a therapist it states they should request a test. A huge red flag which impacted my daughters High School our family relationships. These people have no empathy, or care for a child or a family and should not be in HC. after 3 years of suffering her issue was diagnosed when we went overseas. T

We communicated with the director of Norwood behavioral health and told him we no longer wanted to bring our child to them. He agreed it wasn't a good fit for us. I made an attempt to reschedule with no response for 3 weeks. Then I apologized again and made two other attempts to communicate because I had time sensitive paperwork that needed to be filled out for my university about 3 weeks ago, which she also ignored. This type of behavior is unprofessional, unacceptable, and rather shocking for anyone working in the mental health field, let alone a career as personal as a therapist.

There is no live person to talk to, you have to leave a voice mail and they call you back (it says so on their website.) The initial call back did not come until almost a week later. I called the "person who checks the voice mail box once in a while" back and told her I wanted to set up an appointment. She said she would let the clinicians know and that one would call me back individually. A week or so later no clinicians called me so I called the voice mail checker back and asked what was going on. She said some of the clinicians might not be taking new patients but would reach out to the ones that were and that one male clinician should be calling me soon. Almost 4 weeks later no one has called me for an appointment and the voice mail checker doesn't seem to be in tune with what is happening with the clinical staff. This is a dead end. The website says "Appointments can generally be scheduled within a week." You can hardly get the voice-mail checker to call you within a week. What a joke. http://www.norfolkcounselingservices.com/
