No traffic or other hotel guests noise. Our check-in greeting was cheerful and welcoming. In fact, the front desk personnel (all 4 who I encountered during our 2-1/2 day stay) were outgoing and extremely helpful. The diversity of staff directly mirrored the diversity of guests. Yes, I checked folks out at the free buffet breakfast. And speaking of the BREAKFAST: Day #1 ... Turkey sausage patties, spinach & egg quiche, breakfast sandwich, cinnamon muffins. Day #2 ... Fluffy grade A scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, breakfast sandwich, commercial packaged blueberry muffin. Cereals: Oatmeal, corn flakes, fruity pebbles, Cheerios. Fresh fruit: whole bananas, apples. Yogurt: Vanilla & strawberry with tray of garnishes like pumpkin seeds, walnuts, pecans, coconut, brown sugar, chocolate chips, dried apricots. Milk: regular & chocolate Coffee: bold and decaf Tea: variety of flavored tea bags Bread and bagels to toast. No pancakes or waffles. * . * . * . * . * . * . * . * THE ROOM Clean, modern. Excellent full use of space without feeling claustrophobic. Two comfortable Queen-size beds. Separate living room space with pull out sofa, desk, chair, microwave, fridge. Spacious bathroom with shower (no bathtub), side lit mirror perfect for makeup application. Huge walk-in closet with plenty space for luggage, clothes, shoes for a family of 4. Full length mirror. Minimal drawer space. TV mounted on wall between bedroom & living room. Swivels to allow viewing from either living space. * . * . * . * . * . * . * . * THE GYM Located off the lobby. Daughter enjoyed a morning workout by treadmill. * . * . * . * . * . * . * . * All in all, it was a lovely stay. We'll definitely come back.

Beware that the traffic to the lot is egregious. A few miles away can take 20 minutes because of the bumper to bumper streets. There's currently some construction and closures in the area, however once that clears up it will still be pretty busy because it's a dense area. Let's discuss the property. The patio is cute with nice furniture but of course it's very hot because there's no shade covers/awnings. In the back there's a small pool, cool and clean, with provided towels and a few loungers. The hallways and elevators are kept well maintained too. Now for the hotel experience... Upon checking in we informed the front desk we were celebrating our engagement and they offered a strange line of questioning rather than like a complimentary chocolate or nice rolled towel or water bottle, etc. Just in poor form. Here's the meat and bones, let me tell you about the room. Very nice layout, although the space would feel wider and more breathable if the desk didn't have a big wall unit around it. There's a tiny pad and a pen supplied as well. Bed and couch are fairly comfortable. Nice big window but very bright so you'll usually want it closed. For the bad... the TV doesn't allow hdmi or console volume control, it's so loud it will blow out your ears, not to mention it took 15 minutes just to connect to the internet because it can't prompt the browser login page. Speaking of internet, it requires you to sign up for a Marriott free membership to access the wifi. That's different. Our room itself also reeked of dog like it was in the AC and carpet. The hotel IS dog friendly, I get that but please use an ozone machine, wipe the vents and steam the carpet after. It was very obvious especially if the AC was not on circulating the air around. In addition the smell would kick up even more for a moment when the AC initially turns on so it's an all over problem. The bathroom was odd... for such a nice looking room it was unexpected that there's no fan for the toliet and there's no door inside it so if you're in the shower you will look directly at the toilet. They supply 2-3 days of showering towels but I'm used to seeing 5 days worth stored in most other hotels so we had to reuse often. Shower seems wide until you realize the configuration makes it cramped. The head water jets out so if you stood directly under it, there's a 1-2 person gap to the wall where you wouldn't feel the water. Opposite wall of the head has he controls and normally it's going to be under the head on the same wall. The heat can either take 15 minutes to warm up or it can be scalding instantly and I assume this is because the nearby rooms share a tank. Strangely enough when the pipes would be hot during the day, the water was the coldest and at night it was the hottest. Lastly, beware THE WALLS - they are paper thin like parament transparent paper thin. You can hear someone shutting a draw in the floor beneath you or opening the bathroom slider in the next room. Upon check out the staff gave attitude and that really sealed the 3 star. For some reason they thought he was joking about wanting to check out? I wouldn't stay here again but perhaps I'd find a different same franchise hotel.

I finally got the corn hole bags after I got a grown and her breath in my face, then she starts almost like investigating me. Like I thought that I was here to play corn hole not that I'm a witness in a murder. And I know this isn't required because there was a guy a lot younger before her and he was amazing, 5 star for him. He always had a smile and was nice to everyone that came. And he gave it to us no problem and enjoyed talking with me and my friends. But really, this lady RUINS THE MOOD. Hotel amazing though, but you better pray she isn't your front desk lady.

The prices were very cheap especially considering it was the weekend before New Years. We ended up getting a two bedroom suite with a kitchen (see photos). I could post all the photos but it was a very nice room. And considering the price it was a really good deal. The fitness center is located in the adjacent hotel North, basically 10 yards away on the other side of the pool. It has a machine, teeadmills, and weights up to 50 lbs. The complimentary breakfast is very good with eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, cereal, etc. They also have waffles that alternate between blueberry and vanilla. I posted a photo with the hours. Coffee is available all day. Service was great and again for the price awesome deal.

The property itself is well maintained, the room is spacious, the air conditioner works great (which is essential when Glendale is regularly over 100 degrees), and I even appreciated the TV remote--something that sounds minor until you've stayed in enough hotels where half the buttons don't work. Unfortunately, my stay was overshadowed by an embarrassing experience that left me feeling singled out. I was sitting in my car finishing a few text messages about the convention before heading inside. While I was there, I watched several people walk into the hotel without being questioned by the woman at the front desk. When I walked in--wearing work pants, a white T-shirt, a brown beanie, and flip-flops--I was immediately stopped and asked what room I was staying in. I answered. Then I was asked for my last name. I showed my room key, but I was still told to go to the front desk. What bothered me wasn't simply being asked to verify I was a guest. Hotels have every right to protect their guests. What bothered me was that I had just watched multiple people enter without being stopped, yet I was the only one questioned. As I got on the elevator, the employee gave me a stern look and continued addressing me in front of other guests. It was uncomfortable enough that another guest in the elevator felt the need to tell me, "If you're not a guest here, you shouldn't be here." I quietly showed them my room key, rode to the second floor, and walked to Room 223. I can't say for certain why I was singled out. Maybe it was because of the way I was dressed. Maybe it was because I'm brown-skinned. Maybe someone thought I looked poor or homeless. I don't know. What I do know is how it made me feel: embarrassed, humiliated, and treated like I had done something wrong when I hadn't. Could the situation have been handled differently? Probably, on both sides. But I keep coming back to one question: Why was I the only person asked to prove I belonged there after watching several others walk in without a second glance? TownePlace Suites has a nice property and comfortable rooms, but no guest should leave feeling publicly embarrassed or singled out. I hope management takes a closer look at how these situations are handled so every guest is treated with the same level of respect.

I read that the Echo Suites was a newer division of Wyndham targeted towards guests with long term stays in mind. Sounded promising for being clean; bare bones requirement right? Plenty of available parking in front or back. There are a few convenience stores in the area. I did book our room on their website. I added a request note for a mobility accessible room and shower. I completely spaced reminding them about it at the front desk during check in. I've yet for a reservation note to ever just work; always needed to physically request. Arrived at the room that was unfortunately not mobility accessible. I was only on my knee scooter as my electric scooter just broke down. But even so, my knee scooter takes decently wide turns. So let's pretend we'll be ok with this space; I could crawl around on the beds if need be. But then I check the bathroom; no seat, boo. And unfortunately, I absolutely needed a seat as I'm prone to falls and have limited strength in my extremities and left leg can't support more than a few pounds. I called the front desk and was informed they do not have shower seats. Oh, in that case, do you have an accessible room? I was talking to the young woman who got us checked in; she is super sweet. She asked me to stand by so she could escort me to the accessible room on the next floor. The accessible room was very spacious and my scooter had no issues in the bedroom or the bathroom. The bath/shower combo had a pull down seat. They informed us that each room gets their own thermostat. They only provided 2 sets of towels but it was ok since the 3rd and 4th guests actually lived nearby; so no hotel showers for them. They require you to return the old towels to the front desk and they will exchange for clean towels. It was a unique policy. They also don't clean the room; hence the extended stay discount rate. As for the amenities...there are 2 Queen beds, each with 2 pillows and comfortable bedding. We slept very well, no body aches, great mattress! The accessible room was very spacious and had about 3' between the 2 beds with about 2' on either side. There were plenty of standard outlets as well as USB ports available at the middle "side" table, and the desk next to the television. They provide free wi-fi and allow up to 2 devices to connect. We ran into issues when trying to connect a 3rd device. We couldn't figure out how to release the IP hold the current connections had. Then we tried to just buy another line of services outright but that threw up error messages too. So I was basically unable to work for several hours. Less than fun experience for sure. We were very pleased the same day that they ultimately resolved the issues for us and we're very grateful for that! The kitchenette is cute. There's a fridge/freezer combo, a 2-burner induction stove, a sink but no disposal, and a cute little microwave. They have ice trays for you to make your own. No coffee or tea. No dishes or kitchen essentials so be sure you have some paper plates, napkins, and plastic ware... etc Medium sized desk next to the kitchen was sufficient for hubs working. Also, they don't have an impressive offering of hotel staples like soaps and such. We found 1 small hand soap bar at the vanity sink, a small shampoo bottle, and a smallish/medium bar of soap on top of the floor towel in the bathroom. Overall, a great experience. Affordable and clean. Oh, they also allow pets! And they mark the rooms with a little pet sign so everyone knows which have pets. Will definitely stay here again!

We had an Oasis suite and it was spacious and it looked newly renovated. The bathroom had both a tub and a walkin shower and we had a first floor room so we could walk directly to the adult pool. We went swimming every afternoon we were there and other than one person for 10 minutes, we were the only ones swimming. One nice thing is that they provide pool noodles so we could float to our hearts content. From the time we checked in, every person on their staff was helpful and friendly. We found when we checked in that the valets offered a free shuttle throughout the resort. So one night we went to the golf course and took a shuttle there. Since it was 112° it was a great alternative to driving or walking. If we had one quibble, the exterior of the resort, could've used an update. For example, the adult soft water pool surround was cracked in many places. I guess trying to grow grass in Phoenix in the middle of summer is difficult, but it made the common areas look unkempt. But overall, we loved everything else about the resort and would highly recommend staying here.

The family pool was extremely crowded with children, which is expected for a family-friendly resort. We spent most of our time at the adult pool, which was much quieter and child-free. Unfortunately, the adult pool area felt like an afterthought compared to the family side. Several tiles in the pool were broken, giving the area a worn and somewhat neglected feel. The lounge chairs were not as nice as those at the family pool, and the cabanas also seemed less inviting and less maintained. The food and beverage experience was another disappointment. There was no traditional menu available at the adult pool. Instead, you had to scan a QR code on the drink menu to access food options and then call in your order yourself. It felt inconvenient and took away from the relaxing resort experience. One bright spot was the poolside service. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly throughout the day. She did a great job and provided excellent customer service. While the adult pool provided a quieter atmosphere, it lacked the quality and amenities I expected.

Slept amazing with fluffy pillows, comfortable bed, crisp linens, and the quiet of the desert. While this space seems to be off the beaten path, it is close to everything at the same time. The beautiful Estrella mountains are directly on their door step. My husband and I went exploring and hiked the mountains right out the back door. Had the mountains all for ourselves. (Attached a few pics) We had an amazing and delicious breakfast every morning (fresh sweet fruit directly from the trees on property too) and complimentary wine and beer every night. Watched the sunset from the hot tub. This place is truly a gem. The pictures on their website don't do it justice and if they promoted on social media, this b&b would be 100% booked and unavailable. Susan and Mike are such cool people. We were so sad to go. There is absolutely nothing I would change about our stay. I can't wait to come back.
