I have not stayed at Reset Hotel yet, but I spent enough time there walking the property, taking photos, and really observing the space to understand exactly what it is trying to do. This is not a traditional hotel. It feels more like a concept hotel living out its perfect dream for a magazine. Every angle looks intentional. Every line feels placed. It is as if the entire property was designed to be photographed, but at the same time, it still feels calm and grounded. Everything is stripped back. It is about simplicity above everything else. Not in a bare or unfinished way, but in a way that actually makes sense. The architecture is clean and deliberate, designed to pull your attention outward to the mountains. That is where your focus goes. Not to clutter, not to distractions, but to the landscape. At around $300 a night, you are not paying for excess. You are paying to remove it. That is what makes this place different. It quietly challenges you. If you are going to spend that kind of money to be here, then lean into it. Put the phone down. Sit in the silence. Let the space do what it was designed to do. Most of what we surround ourselves with on a daily basis is unnecessary. Here, it is all stripped away, leaving only what is essential, but done in a way that still feels elevated and thoughtful. What stood out to me was the kind of person this place attracts. I noticed a lot of Tesla and Rivian owners pulling in, people who seem to appreciate design, intention, and a different way of experiencing space. That says a lot about the energy here. If I were to stay, one night would be enough. Just enough time to disconnect, reset, and step out of the constant noise. Any longer, and I would probably start reaching for my phone out of habit. This is not about traditional luxury. It is about simplicity, architecture, and the mountains. And if you allow it to be, it can be exactly the reset it promises.

We stayed at Reset Hotel this weekend, and my family and I had the best time. The entire staff was so lovely and welcoming. Since it's a boutique hotel, you really feel taken care of the whole stay. It was the perfect mix of relaxing wellness vibes and family-friendly fun -- the pool was great for the kids, and they even have a cold plunge and sauna. The property itself is huge, with plenty of space to walk around and explore. They also have a beautiful art installation, and the grounds would be perfect for an event, wedding, or wellness retreat. Our room was spotless and comfortable. We stayed in the king room with the outdoor tub, and we definitely made good use of it! They also offer breakfast and dinner service, which can be delivered right to your room or the pool, making everything feel extra easy and relaxing. We'll definitely be coming back!

This was a pleasant surprise. It's an oasis in the Joshua Tree state park area. It's a new minamilist "green" boutique hotel with: pool, IR sauna, cold plunge, moon path, NO tv's , but WiFi &...breakfast & bar. There is no lunch or dinner on site. The units are Cargo box "tiny home" style with bathrooms, toilet & showers, as well as sinks, mini fridge, electric fellow kettles & glass hario coffee

We had the most incredible reset at The Reset Hotel in Joshua Tree. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life (and our kids!). The creative use of storage containers as stylish, comfortable rooms was such a fun and unique touch. The highlight of our stay was soaking in the outdoor bathtub while taking in the stunning mountain views--absolutely magical. We loved having our own Solo Stove fire pit under the stars and spending lazy afternoons by the relaxing pool. The cocktails were outstanding, and the morning sauna and cold plunge combo was the ultimate way to recharge and shake off the desert dust. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ben, the owner, whose story about how Reset came to be was truly inspiring. You can feel his passion and vision in every thoughtful detail of the place. I haven't felt this relaxed after a two-day weekend getaway in years. We can't wait to come back!

I wanted to sleep under the stars (and catch a meteor shower) but glamping style. So, naturally, the outdoor daybed was what sold me on booking the Reset hotel. (Be warned that the night sky is not anywhere near as awe-inspiring as the magical image that we have in our heads). I booked the Moonlight Patio Room because I needed a pet friendly room. (Pet fee is a steep $125 + taxes. There is a booking option "pet package", which is supposedly discounted). Pros: Fully enclosed patio with daybed, clean rooms and public areas, medium firm bed and pillows, nice sheets and towels, spacious bathroom, ambient lighting, responsive A/C and heating, pet friendly, easy parking, friendly staff, good views of the sky and horizon Cons: Cramped living space (I was told other rooms offer more living space), resort fee, limited and pricey dining menu The biggest con for the Moonlight Patio Room is that there is no window view; AND the view from the bed is largely obstructed by the curtain. Overall, I would say poor value for money. If not for the friendly staff, I would give this place and experience a 2-star rating.

RESET -- A Sacred, Soulful Experience I just spent my birthday night in the most breathtaking, soul nourishing retreat space called RESET in Joshua Tree, and I honestly did not want to leave. My husband surprised me for my 48th trip around the sun, and what we experienced together was pure desert magic. RESET is nestled in the heart of Joshua Tree's sacred landscape, and it feels like a portal to peace, presence, and deep connection. No TV. No phones. Just books, music, each other, and the desert sky. We celebrated both of our birthdays, two Leos, king and queen energy, and spent our time soaking under the stars in a stone tub sprinkled with rose petals as the sun set over the mountains. It was sacred. Every detail was intentional. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with such heartfelt care. Cheryl and Brianna at the front desk, Chelsea the manager, Chris the bartender (yes, a real mixologist who customized drinks with love), Levon our chef and even the owner Ben personally checked in on us and made sure our stay felt personal, warm, and unforgettable. Even our fur baby, Cruze, was welcomed with open arms, complete with her own treats. It is rare to find a place that feels this luxurious yet still deeply grounded and dog friendly. RESET gave us the space to breathe, reset our intentions, and fully embrace the reminder that you must go within before you go without. This night was more than a stay. It was a ceremony, a celebration, a sacred pause. We will absolutely be back. One hundred percent recommend. Five stars. No notes. Just love.

What an amazing place. The rooms were beautifully designed. Love the private fire pit and slept so well since bed was extremely comfortable. To top it off, the staff was so helpful, gracious and genuinely nice. I will definitely be back and would recommend this place to everyone.

The Inn is super welcoming. Lydia at the front desk was kind and responsive to my changing needs (i kept adding days.) Nearly every person staying here that I met were displaced Angelenos. Morning breakfast (great selection) was a place to connect and grieve. At night, dinner in the restaurant was an escape from the news. I like sitting at the bar. I met a slew of locals who were super kind and welcoming. Cowboy. TJ. Vickie. And a host of others... They made me feel like a regular immediately. Carrie (Kari?) the bartender was top notch - attentive, talkative and enthusiastic. I met her fab parents and even shared goodbye hugs. (That's a good human!) Ashley (the manager) was equally wonderful on Sunday night. I was entertained by visiting artists each night too. Bowdie welcomed me regularly. I stayed in the Bottle Room (my fave) for three nights and Goldenbush for 2. Goldenbush is quieter and more light but the Bottle room has a tub! Much needed after a stressful getaway from LA. Plus, I left my laptop and the cleaning crew - two warm women- made sure I was notified immediately. This is my 4th stay at the Inn. The proximity to the park is perfect. I can't express enough how much this place means to me. Thanks 29 Palms. You are funky, and clean, and beautiful, and dry (my God is it dry here) and filled with nice personal touches (lunch options are deeply appreciated.) May you live long and prosper. Until we meet again. I hope we do.

We only stayed for one night but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in instructions were sent via email and there's a code to unlock the room. The grounds are very pretty, perfect for a desert wedding or party. There are great views all around and there aren't any neighbors nearby. It looks like they own a lot of acreage nearby. The room we stayed in was the Onyx room. It was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. There are lots of nice additions in the room to ensure you enjoy staying in from wine glasses, a wine fridge, record player with a record collection, bath salts, star gazing area outside with a mattress, and comfy robes and slippers to use during your stay. If it were warmer, I definitely would've tried out the outdoor tub and shower but it was too cold at night to even think about it. There's also a large community pool in the works. As mentioned earlier, this hotel is about a mile from the NP so it's an excellent choice for anyone going there. It's also not too far from town so you're not too far from stores and cafes. I am definitely planning on staying here again!

Each room has a fridge that is stocked up with large bottles of water, k cups, teas, creamers and sugar. They give you plenty of towels. There's also housekeeping available (free only if you stay 3 nights or more). There is a beautiful common outdoor area with a fire pit, swings and seating. Driving up to the Campbell House is like going back in time. I could imagine driving up that dry dusty bumpy road in a Model T covered in dust. Seeking out the health benefits of the dry climate that were touted by medical practitioners at the time. The last time we visited Campbell House was probably in 2012 or 2013. Our lives were much different then but we still had find memories of the place. We arrived around 2:30 and made out way to the main house. We opened the large red door and walked across the creaky floor into the small office. The main house has a lot of character. The smell of stale furniture polish and old linen permeates the air. The walls are thick and made up of stones that I can assume had been gathered locally and painstaking bonded together to form a desert architectural masterpiece. Check-in was easy and we were assigned the Artifacts Cottage which is another stone structure on the outer perimeter of the property next to the cistern which is no longer used. The cottage was pretty spacious. It had a queen size bed, a modular couch, and a kitchenette complete with an actual fridge. The bathroom was surprisingly large. Outside there was a small porch with a table and chairs. The views from the windows were incredible. My only criticism is the wifi was spotty and there weren't any USB chargers. Continental breakfast is offered in the main house. Hardboiled eggs, sous vide egg bites, and bacon are just some of the items available. The dining room, which I believe was probably a living room at some point, was beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The day we arrived staff was setting up tables for an event that evening so there were lots of things scattered around. There is a pool on the property as well that looked very inviting.

We stayed in the Sunset cottage at the back of the property. It was nice and quiet and very private. We had a little porch out front that looked off into the desert. Our cottage had a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink, dishes, microwave and plenty of counter space if you are going to heat up leftovers from one of the restaurants or fix a small meal. In the kitchen was a table for two. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the living room cozy. There were plenty of windows to let the light in, and at night step out on the porch for views of stars. The bathroom was huge, and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The property is large, with outbuildings and cottages, a game room near the pool and a pool house where you will find towels for the pool. Each morning between 7am and 9am you will find a continental breakfast in the main house dining room, sitting area. We had coffee/tea, pastries and muffins, along with sausage, hard-boiled eggs and egg casserole muffins. The perfect start to a day in Joshua Tree National Park. Each afternoon we found warm cookies back in the dining area. It truly was an incredible stay. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Twentynine Palms. Our room was definitely no frills, but was clean and relatively comfortable. Overall it was pretty spare and the huge walk in closet was just a mostly empty space with a clothes rack and shelf with a few non-stealable hangers. But it was very much OK. It was quiet, comfortable and most importantly, clean. What bumped up the rating was the friendly positive service from the front desk staff. Upon checking in, she said she wanted to put us in a nicer room, double queen instead of a king, but would have more room. We had a minor problem with getting the tub to drain. They sent someone to fix it right away. The breakfast is included with the room and was not too bad. There are pretty much standard choices available.
