Small clean bathroom

Nice stay. It's a sweet little property. The owner works hard to maintain this older motel. Not a lot of options in the area outside of a few cool motels, expensive air bnb, corporate chains, and some sketchy run down sad places. I was quite happy with my choice. I'd definitely stay there again. The rooms are large and the grounds are cool. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. Big pool on site. My only slight issue was that the walls seem to be quite thin, so you can hear your neighbors in their rooms and the traffic on the highway. I think it's a fantastic option for an excursion to the park or a visit to the high desert.

If you want to have a real desert vibe experience, this is the place. It has minimalist vibe, clean & cute rooms with stunning view of the area. Owner Ms. Ash was super friendly & nice to us. We got a call prior to getting there, to make sure we got what we need prior to getting there. She cared about how our stay was, she wants feedback when we left too. Place has swimming pool & spa to relax under the stars or sun. We had a nice stay with them. We will stay with them again the next time we need a place to stay when we're in town! A plus, to stay if you're planning to go to JTNP cuz the entrance is less crowded. ;)

We absolutely love coming here! This is our second time and it's really the best option in the area. Skip the Airbnb's - this is much better bang for your buck and a comfortable place to stay and supporting a wonderful small business. The owner Ash is very sweet and always helps us whenever we need it. The rooms have good air conditioning and comfortable for a stay with everything you need. There even is access to the hot tub and pool as well. The rooms are great. There are some rooms that have the option for access to a small kitchen and not. I have done both and it's really nice to have the flexibility. We'll get the kitchen if it's more than 1 night but have the option to save $20 if we don't want the kitchen add on. We love it! Every time we come to Joshua Tree- we always choose Harmony Motel! Highly recommend this to anyone coming forward a visit.

Please be kind. Owning a small business is no easy feat. Im an entrepreneur and I get it! This is not a hotel chain, Harmony Motel is a woman owned, small, local business! Go Ash! You're doing an amazing job, and we appreciate you! Our family is on road trip & traveling through Joshua Tree and on our way to Sedona, AZ. I found this motel from an app that has a great rating system. This app gives me a sense of security that we won't end up on at janky place & end up with a negative experience. I also look up on Yelp and filter through the reviews before making my decision to book. Our family are experienced travelers. We've stayed in $20 hotel in Vietnam to staying in 5 stars luxury resorts. So you have an idea of our perspective of value. We arrived to Joshua Tree at 3pm, and checked in. The reception staff was an Angel. She was very sweet and helpful. The first thing she mentioned was for us to check out "Joshua Tree Rock Shop N Imports" - side review, this place was awesome! We got a bunch of beautiful crystals & jewelry. High recommend for you to check out The Rock Shop! Ok back to Harmony Motel - The checking in process was easy breezy. We're traveling with our five years old, and he had a great time in the pool. The pool was clean, didn't feel like there was a bunch of chemical in it, and the view of the mountain background was just gorgeous. Pool was awesome. The room, we got room 1 - it was clean, enough space for our family, shower worked fine, AC worked reallllly well - it got really cold at night time with the AC on at 60. Let's see... there's a cute table with two chairs outside our room, it was nice to sit outside to watch the sunrise this morning. Wow the energy in Joshua Tree is on another level. As an intuitive healer, I'm very sensitive to energy & I couldn't sleep all night because of the energy that was coming through during my sleep. I can see why spiritual seekers & outdoor nature people like to visit Joshua Tree. My husband brought up a good point that getting a motel in LA is diff than staying in a motel in Joshua Tree. You get our point. I got the pleasure to meet Ash at 7am in the morning when we checked out. Grateful for the encounter because I got to personally thank her for our great stay and sharing my feedback with her. I honestly think we got great value for what we paid for & what we received out of our stay. Highly recommend!

Super magical place! Perfect, welcoming respite from the road and the bustle of day-to-day life. I found exactly what I needed here: quiet, peace of mind, gorgeous desert vistas, an amazing meditation space, fast WiFi, full kitchen, and extremely kind and attentive staff (Ash, the owner, is amazing, helpful, and easy to reach if you have any questions during the stay). I stayed in Harmony House for two nights which is a gorgeous stand alone adorably furnished 2 bedroom home adjacent to the main Motel where the office and pool are located; the house has a mostly panoramic desert and mountain view from the shaded back patio which is also fully furnished. I booked last minute bc I'm more spontaneous and less of a planner but lemme tell you I was LUCKY to get to stay at and discover this spot! I loved the big house (what a treat!) but would also be happy to return and stay at one of the other cabins or individual rooms. Definitely come here for peace and retreat rather than the spots more clustered in the center of town. I was here with my baby and felt safe at the property and any supplies we needed was available at the shops just down the way. You will want to remember to bring your own coffee along if you want to brew a cup in the equipped makers in the morning rather than driving to grab a cup. I hope to make my stay at Harmony Motel a regular annual event when needing a quiet place to tune into the desert.

My wife and I booked this charming-looking desert motel for our 20th anniversary, and it exceeded all our expectations. We stayed in The Quail Room which has a kitchen and dining area and it was just perfect. We stayed for three nights and brought our own food, and the kitchen had everything we needed; full-size stove and oven, pots/pans/utensils/etc. The room was so wonderfully comfortable, quaint and cozy, and the entire property is such a wonderful oasis in the desert. We spent our days hiking around Joshua Tree (this motel is in a fantastic spot that's close to a lot of great things in the park) and our evenings in this very comfortable and charming room. We're planning to visit again ASAP! Highly recommended.

Stayed 3 nights in the double bed w kitchen. Price was comparable to Country Inn. Pros Spacious kitchen, well equipped including cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, and even olive oil (we forgot ours). Spacious shower w plenty of hot water. Nice pool and hot tub w plenty of seating. Very strong coffee in the common room. Outdoor seating w table outside each room. Picture worthy sign (U2 can stay at Joshua Tree!). This place has character. It's not your typical cookie-cutter traveler motel. We had room "0". Floor was tile w movable carpets. Bathroom vanity was cramped/short on space. Heater was loud in the middle of night, but can be avoided by turning down thermostat. Owner was courteous and helpful. Most importantly, it was clean and the wifi works! Would return again.

The Inn is super welcoming. Lydia at the front desk was kind and responsive to my changing needs (i kept adding days.) Nearly every person staying here that I met were displaced Angelenos. Morning breakfast (great selection) was a place to connect and grieve. At night, dinner in the restaurant was an escape from the news. I like sitting at the bar. I met a slew of locals who were super kind and welcoming. Cowboy. TJ. Vickie. And a host of others... They made me feel like a regular immediately. Carrie (Kari?) the bartender was top notch - attentive, talkative and enthusiastic. I met her fab parents and even shared goodbye hugs. (That's a good human!) Ashley (the manager) was equally wonderful on Sunday night. I was entertained by visiting artists each night too. Bowdie welcomed me regularly. I stayed in the Bottle Room (my fave) for three nights and Goldenbush for 2. Goldenbush is quieter and more light but the Bottle room has a tub! Much needed after a stressful getaway from LA. Plus, I left my laptop and the cleaning crew - two warm women- made sure I was notified immediately. This is my 4th stay at the Inn. The proximity to the park is perfect. I can't express enough how much this place means to me. Thanks 29 Palms. You are funky, and clean, and beautiful, and dry (my God is it dry here) and filled with nice personal touches (lunch options are deeply appreciated.) May you live long and prosper. Until we meet again. I hope we do.

We only stayed for one night but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in instructions were sent via email and there's a code to unlock the room. The grounds are very pretty, perfect for a desert wedding or party. There are great views all around and there aren't any neighbors nearby. It looks like they own a lot of acreage nearby. The room we stayed in was the Onyx room. It was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. There are lots of nice additions in the room to ensure you enjoy staying in from wine glasses, a wine fridge, record player with a record collection, bath salts, star gazing area outside with a mattress, and comfy robes and slippers to use during your stay. If it were warmer, I definitely would've tried out the outdoor tub and shower but it was too cold at night to even think about it. There's also a large community pool in the works. As mentioned earlier, this hotel is about a mile from the NP so it's an excellent choice for anyone going there. It's also not too far from town so you're not too far from stores and cafes. I am definitely planning on staying here again!

Driving up to the Campbell House is like going back in time. I could imagine driving up that dry dusty bumpy road in a Model T covered in dust. Seeking out the health benefits of the dry climate that were touted by medical practitioners at the time. The last time we visited Campbell House was probably in 2012 or 2013. Our lives were much different then but we still had find memories of the place. We arrived around 2:30 and made out way to the main house. We opened the large red door and walked across the creaky floor into the small office. The main house has a lot of character. The smell of stale furniture polish and old linen permeates the air. The walls are thick and made up of stones that I can assume had been gathered locally and painstaking bonded together to form a desert architectural masterpiece. Check-in was easy and we were assigned the Artifacts Cottage which is another stone structure on the outer perimeter of the property next to the cistern which is no longer used. The cottage was pretty spacious. It had a queen size bed, a modular couch, and a kitchenette complete with an actual fridge. The bathroom was surprisingly large. Outside there was a small porch with a table and chairs. The views from the windows were incredible. My only criticism is the wifi was spotty and there weren't any USB chargers. Continental breakfast is offered in the main house. Hardboiled eggs, sous vide egg bites, and bacon are just some of the items available. The dining room, which I believe was probably a living room at some point, was beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The day we arrived staff was setting up tables for an event that evening so there were lots of things scattered around. There is a pool on the property as well that looked very inviting.

We found freshly baked cookies upon our arrival, along with chilled water and coffee in the dining room/sitting room. Peggy was so friendly and helpful to us, as was the rest of the staff. We stayed in the Sunset cottage at the back of the property. It was nice and quiet and very private. We had a little porch out front that looked off into the desert. Our cottage had a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink, dishes, microwave and plenty of counter space if you are going to heat up leftovers from one of the restaurants or fix a small meal. In the kitchen was a table for two. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the living room cozy. There were plenty of windows to let the light in, and at night step out on the porch for views of stars. The bathroom was huge, and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The property is large, with outbuildings and cottages, a game room near the pool and a pool house where you will find towels for the pool. Each morning between 7am and 9am you will find a continental breakfast in the main house dining room, sitting area. We had coffee/tea, pastries and muffins, along with sausage, hard-boiled eggs and egg casserole muffins. The perfect start to a day in Joshua Tree National Park. Each afternoon we found warm cookies back in the dining area. It truly was an incredible stay. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Twentynine Palms. The Campbell House Inn and staff couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming.
