We did have a minor issue with hot water once, but the staff fixed it quickly, so no complaints there. Breakfasts were on the weaker side, but we knew that going in -- so it wasn't a surprise. The pool water was excellent -- clean and refreshing! And best of all, it's 5.5 feet deep, which means you can actually dive in -- rare to find these days.

The service was also good and the continental breakfast was very convenient and delicious. There's lots of cats around the property which was very cute and felt homey, there is one specific cat they named Onsen which hangs around the lobby when it gets hot and he was absolutely adorable. Intimate hotel with not a lot of people it looked like. I wouldn't really say it's a spa, the jacuzzi and pool are smaller than they look on their website which was misleading advertising (probably about the size of an apartment pool), but still was very relaxing and you can tell the water is very clean and high quality. The location isn't great but as long as you have a car it's okay. I wouldn't say the hotel is very luxurious (building felt more like an apartment than a hotel), but you can tell they really make the effort to make it as nice as they can. If you're looking for a smaller, quiet and relaxing hotel I would recommend this place!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this is an exceptionally well-maintained property. The grounds are pristine, with beautifully curated desert landscaping--clean lines, sculptural cacti, and a classic Palm Springs aesthetic that feels both serene and intentional. The level of cleanliness throughout the property was outstanding--everything felt fresh, polished, and meticulously cared for. Our room was equally impressive--we especially loved the large stand-up shower and the abundance of natural light, which made the space feel bright, open, and relaxing. A special thank you to Adam and his incredible staff, who made our stay truly memorable. Their attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism delivered a seamless, first-class experience from start to finish. The daily breakfast and lunch, included with our stay, were excellent--consistently flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. And the afternoon popsicles by the pool were the perfect finishing touch--simple, refreshing, and a great reflection of the property's attention to guest experience. This is hospitality done right. We will absolutely be returning. Bryan T. Halda & Abraham Hernandez-Lopez Miami, Florida

Love the color scheme of yellow, blues, and greens. My boyfriend and I's room was nice. Love the space. Cozy and comfortable. Yellow is the main character of the resort. From the room doors, outside umbrella, and towels. The pool was perfect. Not too deep 4ft I'm fine with that. The hot tub was 3ft and always group of men hanging out. Every day they have breakfast and lunch for the guests which is part of the deal. The resort is 20 minutes away from downtown Palm Springs which it's perfect. My first time visiting California and Palm Springs. I'm looking forward to coming back here in 2027.

Her smile, demeanor and attitude simply painted a picture of stellar and genuine customer service. Veronica has the gift of greeting and servicing the clients needs at check-in. We had a fantastic time at the bar area with service from Gerardo, another Veronica, David, Ricky and Jennifer all amazing individuals. We have known Gerardo for years and he is an amazing authentic and compassionate man with a gift to serve. I often state that people and relationship far exceed the location or event and here at JW you get the best of both worlds. Wonderful people and a slice of heaven here in Palm Desert. Veronica provided us a lovely view suite with the comforts of home. Marriott offers the best in their JW lineup and we are so pleased with the amenities, choices of dining and options including the spa, fitness center and even a boat ride around the Facilities. The staff truly made our stay 5 plus stars and tomorrow we celebrate my wife's birthday at Mikado another wonderful option at JW Marriott. Being a Bonvouy card holder the point system, features and membership offers are terrific and we utilize them often. Also Michelle is housekeeping was super efficient and very kind. Great lodging, dining, amenities and an amazing array of staff members who welcome and treat you like family. A Starbucks on site, music on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's a great breakfast option at Starwood, several bars, multiple pools and water features, shops on site and even a nightclub. An amazing resort and highly recommended.

Lots of the pool chairs looked like they've seen better days as well as hallways and other common areas. The thing that was the most off putting is the pool seems like it's turned into a public pool. No key card is needed, no one is watching the door... anyone can walk in. I definitely noticed a lot of people who seemed to be using the pool that weren't staying at the hotel. Overall, I rather stay at other Marriott properties. The extra money isn't worth staying here.

Came here on recommendation from a friend. The pools are beautiful and it's not crowded. Few guests, probably intentionally limited. The spas are great. We reserved a wood hot tub and a private tub (free reservations when you stay overnight) but honestly didn't even need it since there were plenty of tubs open. So did we need hot springs when it was 90F out? Not really but it was lovely. Staff friendly, warm welcome at the gate and reception. Much appreciated cold drinks from the bar and limited poolside and from your hot tub drink service. Restaurant served up nice sounding food with good elements but not quite out together well. Like some mushy forbidden rice under fantastically prepared lamb, or rubbery fried Halloumi on a very crisp and perfectly dressed bed of arugula. Not sure why none of it worked together but on paper it looked great. In real life was more unique. Overall a very relaxing stay. It's really close to J tree so pretty far from LA and San Diego which is great if you want / need privacy. Grounds are lovely with a duck and turtle pond. Tons of upsells here ($400 massage? I'll just fly to Thailand thanks). A couple free classes we didn't attend. 7:45 am yoga not happening on a retreat where we sleep in.

SO MANY COCKROACHES…read more There are A LOT of cockroaches here. When the sun goes down, they're running all over the walkways. It's a bit unnerving. They're also in the rooms - we found 3 in our room, told staff, they said they would send someone but never did. They just said "oh no! Apologies for the inconvenience" They're also in the pools. Our last night, sitting in the shallow meditation pool, I felt something on my shoulder, swiped it away and discovered it was the most massive 2.5 inch cockroach on me frantically trying to swim away. It was my worst nightmare. After that, every little thing I felt I kept thinking was another cockroach crawling on me. Really soured our experience here. Yes the grounds are beautiful, the waters are incredible, restaurant food was good, the bed was super comfortable, and our favorite part is the pools are open 22 hours a day (closed from 6-8am for cleaning) which means we can enjoy them late at night when most people are sleeping - a rare thing to do at a resort as most places prevent guests from enjoying any public water therapy after 9 or 10 at night. It has the potential to be a really amazing place but after seeing probably 30+ cockroaches on the property, in our room, and then crawling on me, I just can't really recommend this place as a peaceful sanitary getaway. I mean this place is infested and the resort doesn't seem to really care how much it's negatively impacting their guests. So if they don't care, then I'm certainly not going to be a patron of their business. If they reach out and try to make it right, if they improve then I'll update my review.

Since our room wasn't ready yet, they gave us beach access cards while we waited, which we really appreciated. We ended up walking to the village for breakfast (about a 6 minute walk) and did the boat tour while waiting. Around 12 PM, we received both a text and a call that our room was ready. The room was clean and the lake view was absolutely beautiful. The kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. We also went down to the lake to catch the sunset, which was definitely a highlight even though the water was freezing. They had movie night and game room as well. The only downside was the TV in our room. It was pretty outdated, static at times, and we wished it had Netflix or streaming options where we could log into our own accounts. The hot tub could've also been cleaner. Overall, it was still such a relaxing getaway and a perfect Mother's Day trip for the family. We'll definitely be back again!

Let me start with a good review...the location of this property is excellent. It's very convenient,…read moreeasily accessible and close to the lake which made it appealing for our stay. Upon arrival, Lia at the front desk was welcoming and courteous. She asked if we needed two room keys; although we mentioned that one would be enough, she still provided us with two. The room itself was decent. however, we encountered a few issues. The balcony door could not be locked which was concerning. While I was working on my laptop at the table, I began to feel intense itchiness on both of my legs. I tried using wet paper towels to relieve it but it was with so much discomfort so I eventually had to stop and walked away. At around 6 PM, my wife and I went to use the hot tub which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Unfortunately, the water temperature was warm, or maybe less than warm. So much so that most guests could not stay longer than 15 minutes. We did stay for a good 30minutes. Another guest even asked his wife to report it to the front desk. When she came back, she said that the issue had already been reported earlier but it appeared that no action had been taken. The chlorine level seemed extremely strong. The following day which is today, after doing laundry, my wife pointed out that the underwear I wore in the hot tub had changed color, from black to brown. compared to my underwear. Along with that, I've been experiencing ongoing itchiness, irritation and dryness on my legs and other parts of my body since using the hot tub.
