Did my open water dive checkouts in Monterey with Joe and had a great experience! I did my…read moreclassroom and pool portion with another company (SF Bay Area) but needed to get certified before an upcoming trip and found Sac City Scuba through his great reviews. Since I am not local and had completed part of my training already, he helped review everything with me and took the time to make sure I had everything in-place correctly and coordinate all the details (gear, training, ecourse, etc.) to finish off my recreational open water cert. He really went out of his way to make sure I was prepared for the weekend, and I really appreciated it! His teaching instructions were clear and he was very patient to make sure we did all of our checks properly and safely. I had a great experience and will definitely keep them on my radar for future trainings and diving trips. Thanks Joe & team!

Great experience. Joe, the owner/ level 4 dive master, is an awesome instructor. He gives you a…read morelot of detailed instruction and reviews diving theory to keep you safe. He is very patient, and when you are struggling with a technique, he will take the time to make sure you get it right. My wife and I were pretty nervous about going on our first scuba adventure, but Joe has given us the confidence we need to make sure we will be able to handle our selves in an open water dive.

Just finished my NRP certification today in Roseville and everything went smoothly! There is an…read moreonline portion that you complete after reading the textbook, and then you can register for the in-person skills day (I believe within 90 days of finishing the online exam). They are very responsive if you ever have any questions and were very knowledgeable and welcoming. Our class lasted about 2.5 hours and was comprised of videos and demonstrations, along with a team challenge at the end. They also have snacks and a ton of drink options in the back! I made myself a green tea ginger and honey drink and they also had hot chocolate and a ton of Keurig pods to choose from.

The instructors here are great and very knowledgeable. I recently took my BLS/ACLS update and we…read moredid the megacode on our own table and just verbalized to the instructor the steps but according to her, by the end of the month, COVID protocols will completely be lifted and the old way of doing megacode as a group will be implemented again. Test was easy (considering this my is my 6th time in 12 years doing the ACLS) plus I recently had a better understanding EKG strips from a class I took at work. Make sure to bring food next time. They have a microwave and they have water and coffee too. But the lady at the front desk seems a bit rude when I asked her questions. Like she's not happy with her job.
