Great program, Ms, Dolly is a great teacher and doesn't overdo the material. She explains it, you demonstrate it and you're done in no time.

There is a lot of material covered, and you really need to stay on track. Be prepared to have no life for two years! It is 100% worth it. :-) My clinical rotations have been great! I have been placed close to my home almost every time. I think the furthest I've been from home is about 45 minutes. Which isn't bad at all! Be willing to be flexible, and ready for anything. It will be worth it! This is hard work! The instructors are MORE than helpful! If we ever need any help they are only a text or call away. For me, there has been a lot of positive encouragement. Although we are working through Covid-19 and being off campus for the moment our instructors still try to be engaged with us to keep our schooling somewhat normal while keeping us safe! We are so close to taking our final exam, and I am nervous but I know our instructors will ensure we have all the materials and guidance to get us through it all! They won't leave us to be on our own to figure it out alone. If you're able to stick with it, and push through , you can make it through this rewarding program. It has been a lot of fun, and I have met life long friends through the process. I can't wait to finally have my license, and I will forever thank my instructors who have helped me along the way.

Each time, I received the same generic, rehearsed email response. The program only accepts 24-28 students but allows over 100 applicants to apply, which feels misleading. On top of that, the admissions process is very frustrating--communication is poor, and it is extremely difficult to get in contact with anyone for clarity or guidance. I believe this school needs to implement better, more transparent admissions practices. I am going to purse a different school just wanted to leave a review to save people some time and bring awareness. :)

From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had every opportunity to succeed. What stood out to me most about UEI wasn't just the education, it was the people. Every single person I interacted with genuinely cared about the students and our futures. I want to start by recognizing Mrs. Anita Pai. She worked tirelessly helping me obtain my transcripts from my online high school. It wasn't a simple process and required her to jump through multiple hoops and go back and forth numerous times. Because of her persistence and dedication, I was able to begin the process of enrolling. Without her help and determination, I honestly may not have been able to start school when I did. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ricardo, who handled my student intake. His energy and enthusiasm were incredible from the moment I met him. He worked extremely hard to get everything processed and even managed to get me started that very same week. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, and his excitement made me feel confident and motivated about starting the program. My instructor, Miss B, deserves more recognition than I could ever put into words. She wasn't just a teacher to me, she truly became a mentor and friend. She didn't just teach what was in the textbook, she taught real-life skills and how to truly succeed in the medical field. She was patient, supportive, and always available whenever I needed help or didn't understand something. She believed in her students and pushed us to be our best. Without a doubt, she is the best teacher I have ever had the privilege of learning from. I would also like to recognize Nate, who always seemed to be juggling a million things but still made time to help students whenever they needed it. His willingness to step in and assist never went unnoticed. Most importantly, I want to give a huge recognition to Carlos. Carlos is the person you can go to for absolutely anything, and he will always find a way to help. He is incredibly knowledgeable, highly educated in the medical field, and extremely compassionate. What makes him stand out the most is how much he genuinely cares about the students in the Medical Assistant program and their future success. Carlos truly listens to students and values their thoughts, concerns, and goals. He is also the person who encouraged me to take the CCBMA certification exam, something I never believed I could pass. I honestly had no intention of even attempting it because I didn't think it was possible for me. Carlos believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. Because of his encouragement and support, I took the exam and I am now CCBMA certified. The fact that he is even helping me revise my resume on a Sunday shows the level of dedication he has to his students. Every single employee at UEI College has been incredible. The environment is welcoming, supportive, and full of people who genuinely want to see students succeed. They treat you like more than just a number, they treat you like family. UEI College didn't just give me an education, it gave me confidence, support, and a future in the medical field. The experience and the people I met there truly changed my life. I can honestly say I miss being there. If you are considering the Medical Assistant program, I cannot recommend UEI College enough.

There are many different programs ranging from ABSN, to ELMSN (FNP and CM), to RN to FNP, and RN to DNP program's; the list goes on but we never actually know how many programs are going on at once. The campus is located on the corner of El Camino in a business-like building. It is one floor and expanding to two floors. A positive of the Sacramento campus over the Oakland is that there is free parking here and that there is no competition between different professions to utilize what campus facilities we do have available. Which brings me into the topic of facilities available. There is NO health center if you have school insurance, there is NO gym, there is essentially NO student extracurricular community, and the financial aid office comes from Oakland to visit every so often. So, as you can see, there are many lacking factors to this campus. The faculty is often changing as well as the administrative staff. We don't find out about a lot of things like preceptorship, NCLEX approval, or clinical placements until last second .... but without that disorder, it wouldn't be a grad school, right? The students here (in all cohorts I've encountered) are amazing though. Everyone is super nice and mindful of one another (:. Plus rent in Sac is a lot cheaper than in the Bay. Feel free to contact me with any questions if y'all may have any! As lastly, just keep in mind to "Trust the program!" I would probably rate the school alone as a 3.5 stars

You could tell that it was relatively new based on the structure. Besides the conference rooms there were rooms for nursing labs, which for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of attending nursing school, they're designed to give you somewhat of a realistic experience of what you might encounter while in an actual clinical setting dealing with patients/families/other providers. The facility was clean, temperature control was just fine, I wasn't hot nor was I freezing while in my meeting. In the conference room we were housed in its set up in sort of a pod formation where people sit in smaller groups of tables. One of the faculty from the university did have a specific term used for it but I don't recall what they called it. I was very impressed with the facility itself and the staff where also very helpful.

Some of their programs are heavily supported by grants and scholarships, making them affordable. The education I received in my masters program at BIMSON hasn't been perfect- it's kind of a one-size-fits-all approach with not a huge selection of electives. BUT generally speaking, the content is top notch and the professors are engaging, well prepared, and highly qualified. Sure, I took classes I wasn't especially interested in. But now, in my new career role, I'm well prepared because of each class in the MS-L program. Writing a yelp review seems like an oddball way to review a school or program, and I stumbled onto this accidentally while looking for something else related to BIMSON. When I saw the extremely negative review below, I felt inspired to balance out the low star count. I feel grateful to be a student at UCD, regardless of its few flaws.
