After reading the excellent Yelp reviews, I contacted Armando by phone and text, and I'm so glad I did. The entire experience was outstanding. Armando recommended completing the online portion of the course first, which was very affordable and easy to complete. I finished it in one day and enjoyed it so much that I went ahead and completed several of the additional online courses as well. The hands-on training took place at Armando's location in a comfortable one-on-one setting. He has brand-new CPR manikins and an AED simulator, which made the training feel realistic and practical. We practiced CPR and rescue breathing on an adult manikin and then moved on to infant CPR. The equipment provides excellent feedback on compression depth, rhythm, and technique, helping you understand exactly how much pressure and ventilation are needed. Armando is an excellent instructor. He patiently walked me through every step, provided helpful corrections, answered all of my questions, and gave me plenty of time to practice until I felt confident. He is kind, soft-spoken, and creates a welcoming learning environment, especially for anyone who may be nervous or shy. The turnaround time was also impressive. I completed my hands-on training on Thursday, Armando submitted all the required paperwork that same day, and by Friday I already had my certification card. It worked with my schedule and gave me the tools I needed to excel at what I do. It is an excellent program!! It is a 10 week program that's financially affordable and you're able to complete even if you have a full time job, I know I did! You will meet with your instructor twice a week, one day you will do your classroom portion and the next day you'll be doing your practical/ lab portion with your classmates. Your instructor will help and guide you along the way, you will be able to find an externship which will help with your experience and in finding a job!

I went and did a little research on Assist to Succeed and also looked up the Facebook page of this particular location and so on. I even decided to e-mail one of the students that was tagged in a picture to ask her how she liked the program. She said she loved it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I think there are only 2 Assist to Succed programs as far as i know and one of them is in Oroville. So i am happy that there is one in Elk Grove, since that isn't too far from where i live. I decided to show up in person and ask questions and get more information. I didn't have a car at the time and the money, eventhough this is far cheaper than going to one of those other colleges. I wasn't going to sign up right away, but wait for the next class instead. Becky was really nice and explained how the program works and i left feeling good about possibly starting something new. However, i never did sign up for the program at that time. Here we are a year later. I went back 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine, because the both of us were considering becoming Dental Assistants, so she came along with me and we met up with Becky, the instructor. Again she answered all of our questions, showed us around and told us what all the program entails and what we have to look forward to. We even got a folder outlining what we will be learning, dress code, registration form etc. She's super sweet :) she gave us a card and told us we could feel free to contact her and ask her more questions if we had any. I am actually excited about this and know i could start a new career and just learning something different in general, which always exiting and a bit nervous. This time i will actually attend the school and my friend will too. We are actually going back this week with our filled out forms and down payment to secure our spot. How much more screen time can a girl stand?? Well, it ends up, the training was interesting, engaging, and went by way faster than most of the meetings I sit through during the week!
