The roof over my balcony had already rotted due to water damage and needed full replacement-- but thanks to their fast response and expert work, the roof held strong through all the recent Portland storms! Next thing he did was treating my fire damage after an electrical fire. During the winter, my furnace stopped working, and while we were waiting for the repair company, we had to rely on space heaters. Unfortunately, something went wrong, and one of the plugs caught fire. I researched online and learned that abatement of mastic on hardwood floors can be done by scraping or sanding or other methods, and the guy who refinished my hardwood floors a couple years ago got it off of the floor and refinished the wood without issue, so I assumed this would be the case. When I came home, I was horrified when I realized they had cut out all of the hardwood boards out of my kitchen and removed them, instead of scraping and sanding the hardwoods. I'm now out $1800 AND I literally don't have a floor anymore. When I spoke to them over the phone, I was assured that removing the boards was the ONLY way to address the issue, which is simply untrue. I feel like an idiot for not researching other abatement companies, as it was a decision I made in panic. It's too late now, but now I'm researching and finding all of these other companies that offer abatement in Portland for hardwood flooring where the mastic can be removed. When I saw photos of other local companies work post-removal, I felt even more like an idiot. There was no need for me to lose my floors entirely in this process. This has been a nightmare. I was told this company specializes in abatement, but it seems they specialize in demolition, and ensure abatement in the process of said demolition. Unless you're looking to tear out a wall or a floor or cabinetry entirely, I would not recommend.

A hose on our water heater leaked and caused a bunch of dmg on the garage wall. It was a few days…read morebefore we noticed, but because of the hot water, the mold was all over that area. Called Dryworx and my home insurance. They got everything for my insurance company and dealt with them directly. The insurance initially try to say the damage looked to be months old, but Dryworx was able to get enough pictures and proof to show it was only a few days old (hot water made things look like it's been leaking for months). Glad I didn't have to deal with the insurance company alone. Because the issue was behind the water heater, we had to get a plumber involved to move it and Dryworx handled all of that. Drywall was removed, everything was dried over a few days, then patched up. Looks good as new. Better even. I had to change the payment method on them a few times and they were very accommodating.
