The best store for any of your reptile needs. Everybody that works there is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They have literally been able to answer every dumb question I've asked. It's almost like they know everything about every reptile. It's so impressive. Their selection of reptiles, accessories, food, and everything else is top notch. Way better than any of the other surrounding stores of the same nature. Came here the other day with my girlfriend and all though it took a lil for someone to help us( hence the 4 instead of 5 stars) when someone did they were super helpful, knowledgeable and patient and showed us a bunch of snakes. Compared to other shops on Long Island they def have fair prices and a great selection. read more

I would prefer to give them no stars because they misrepresented themselves to my daughter. She went in and left a $50.00 deposit on a snake. At the time they said they would hold it for her as long as she needed them to. She called last night to say she was going to pick up the snake on Wednesday and was told that after 7 days she forfeited her deposit and they had sold the snake to someone else who offered cash. Needless to say, my daughter (she's 15) was devastated. She had worked hard to earn that snake and they never even called to tell us they were going to sell it. I think they took advantage of her because of her age. Needless to say I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the credit card company to dispute this. read more

The store owner was extremely rude and wouldn't allow us to view the live stock. We were also looking to purchase live stock but wasn't allowed to view anything. He was cursing and rushing us to get out the store even tho we spent 200+ on products.I won't be returning that's for sure. read more

If I could give this store and it's owner negative stars I would definitely do so for this place. If you want to waste your money on an animal that is unhealthy, not cared for properly, and destined to go to the vet often then repxotica is the place for you. The owner is cheap and won't take his sick animals to the vet, just allows them to get worse then offers them up for adoption openly admitting the animal probably will die. I took in some tortoises that he had up for adoption, when asked about why he said they were sick and probably would die. When I told him I'd take all 5 he hesitated and tried to retract his offer. After multiple attempts to get him to hold to his word he finally gave in. I now have 4 that are in great condition after numerous vet visits and thousands of dollars spent but one sadly passed recently after every effort and multiple thousands spent to try to help extend his life. I'm glad I took the tortoises home and gave them a home where they were cared about And loved because repxoticas owner sure wouldn't have tried anything to give them a chance at life. He even tried to tell me he has vet techs working at his store that care for his animals. Which was either a blatant lie or they have no idea what they are doing because the tortoises were in such bad shape (no uvb, no water bowl, no greens and no actual heat lamp. If you want an animal that has been poorly cared for prior to your purchase and will need the vet then please go to repxotica. read more

I've been coming here recently to buy supplies for my son who just got a ball python for Christmas. Every time I went, whether alone or with my son, I found every member of the staff to be incredibly attentive and patient. It took my son over an hour to finally make a decision on which snake he wanted, and in the meantime, everyone was thoroughly answering all our questions. When we expressed some concern in how the snake may or may not take a frozen feeding, they thawed one out and had a live one ready to test it out before we bought it. I'm not really that local to Repxotica but I'll gladly take the half hour trip just for the excellent customer service we received here! read more

Around 2/3 years ago I had my two pet rats (both males) boarded here because they had watched some reptiles for my family before and they said they could easily watch them while we were away. When I got them back they were angry, unsocialized, and filthy. After further realization, I found out ONE OF THEM WAS NOW A GIRL and she was pregnant. So I gave in two socialized male rats and they returned to me completely different rats which only leads me to believe that they sold my pet rats as feeders, which breaks my heart completely. THERE IS LITERALLY NO EXCUSE FOR A MISTAKE LIKE THAT! They tried to give me rats that looked the same but when I looked back at photos, I saw differences in their fur patterns. I think it's disgusting that obviously my rats died and instead of telling me they tried to switch them and think I wouldn't notice when I very clearly could. My rats were trained. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE AND I VERY STRONGLY DON'T RECOMMEND. read more

I love Repxotica! The staff here are SO helpful! I'm currently building my leopard gecko a bioactive vivarium. They had so many options for everything I needed. All the latest most high tech gadgets are there. And the prices are great. I bought all my arcadia bulbs here and a lamp dome. I also get my leopard geckos food here. They have lots of options! I used to buy from chain pet stores and I would find half dead or dead bugs in the mix ALL the time. At repxotica, the feeders are always fresh and healthy looking! Also, the other chain pet stores recommended all the wrong products to me. At repxotica, I was able to receive better more knowledgeable info. It's obvious how much the staff care about your pet. I'm very thankful this store is right down the block from me. Also, I love going to this store to see all the animals! They have lovely displays of beautiful lizards. This place has everything you need for your reptile. Been in there several times. The staff is always more than helpful and so knowledgeable. Wish they had a location closer to our house. We drive half hour to get here, because they are sooo much better than Petco and PetSmart. The crickets are always live and healthy from Repxotica whereas 1/2 of them are dead from the competition.
