The room was candle lit and with some very relaxing music and birds sounds. In May 2018 I was diagnosed with breast cancer... for the second time…read more..and in the same breast that had had a lumpectomy. I was heartsick. After the surgeon at a very reputable organization questioned why I might want reconstruction after the obvious mastectomy, I was crushed and I spent entire summer looking for help. Finally in September, I was directed to Dr. Anh Lee. She told me I wasn't a candidate for a lumpectomy or implant due to the location of my tumors. But her office manager, Carla, was already on the phone seeing if I qualified for the Diep Flap surgery. This involves taking one's own belly fat and making breasts immediately after the mastectomy. I did qualify and I had it done on Sept. 26th. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Lee and her staff. There is an air of compassion in every fiber of the office. Attention to detail and concern. Dr. Lee is the ONLY surgeon in El Paso who can perform the Diep Flap Surgery. Most importantly, she cares. This is a worthy option and an exceptional surgeon. If you're in my predicament, contact the office. You won't be sorry. I owe my quality of life to Dr. Lee.
