This is the most incompetent Title Company I have ever been involved with. My Closing in August 2025 was a disaster ; errors, total lackof communication, lack of response, lack of reading important emails, lack of instructions, nor personal contact, faulty accounting. And to top it off, they FORGOT TO WIRE MY PROCEEDS after the Closing. I had to hound them to find out where my funds were 5 hours after the closing! For the $100 option money payment, they don't accept a card over the phone. Ok. You can drop off a check at the office. I live kind of further away from Frisco so I don't have time for that. Sorry! Ok, so you can wire money. Great! Let's do that! I bank with Chase. I waited for the wiring instructions and started to fill out the wiring online. Then I saw on the instructions that they do NOT accept wiring from the ACH system, ONLY from the Fedwire System? What is that? They never told me that on the phone! I called again and said I bank with Chase (one of the largest banks, right?). They didn't know if Chase has the ACH system or the Fedwire system. So, I needed to call Chase and chase down that information. Chase uses the ACH system so I couldn't wire the $100 since Republic Title of Texas ONLY accepts the Fedwire system! What? I have heard of the ACH system but NEVER of the Fedwire system. So, you don't accept a wire transfer from one of the largest banking institutions in the nation? How strange is that? How inconvenient do you want to make it to be able to pay? Another option is to use an app you can download and then send a check by taking a picture of the check. First of all, who still has checks these days? I had to drive to my bank and BUY a sheet of checks! Of course, you need to link your bank in the app and probably go through all kinds of steps before you are finally able to send the payment. I got really frustrated and p o'd. I'm spending WAY too much time on this! This shouldn't take this long! It's 2023 and I just want to pay the $100 option money! I hope I NEVER need to deal with Republic Title of Texas throughout my property buying process. So much back-and-forth for something so simple. First impressions tell me everything! I finally reached out to our real estate agent and she took care of it. She didn't have to do that but had to step in because Republic Title of Texas cannot get their payment options together and make it as easy as possible for people. read more

I had a terrible experience with this title company and Selena Underwood in particular. They had the contract for two months and did not address the issues until two days before closing. I was set for a remote closing at 2 and heard nothing from anyone until 2:15 and then it was a response to an email I sent them. The worst part of the closing was that they had been told to copy my attorney on all communications. I found out, after the closing , that they did not send him the closing papers for review. Fortunately, even though they did make a mistake, it did not effect the final outcome in a bad way. read more
