They don't pick up trash for over 2 weeks. No explanation. I've been getting charged for 3 trash bins. One got stolen. I've called many times to get it replaced - nothing happened. Rep says she will let the manager know but meanwhile nothing is resolved. So I'm told to just put the trash on the street. read more

Purchased a property in late December that was and still is vacant. Bullhead City and Republic have a good scam going- they bill you despite not even providing trash bins and service. I have been dealing with Republic and the City for months now over a bill for under $100 but it is just the principal now, why should we be taken advantage of by our own city. Horrible services!!! Rented a dumpster and paid over $400. I was never told there would be additional fees for picking up the dumpster when it was full. I was told I get unlimited pickups and would have the dumpster for 30 days. Scheduled a pickup and was informed I had to pay an additional $133 for pickup fee. Sold home over 2 weeks ago and cannot get anyone on the phone there to cancel services. Finally I call and say its new services and amazingly someone picks up. Starts working on cancelling for me then magically disconnects. Im not paying the bill. Figure it out 7/15/2021 at 1:45 you hung up on me. read more

They never answer their phones been on hold for 45 minutes I show up and the doors are locked they take our lunch from 1 to 2 PM so now I am waiting a half hour outside in the heat this place is horrible I give Republican know Starr so we'll see how much they cost per month read more

I purchased a new home in 2005 which took until 2008 to complete. I was never informed about a homeowner's association, nor about any trash service which was mandatory. I contacted Republic Services about 2 months ago to get the service which I never had and they informed me that I needed to pay $350 for back service (which I never received). I figured I would let it go for now. They actually got in touch with the government and issued me a "notice and order to comply". I tried to reason with them that I was never informed about any trash service which was mandatory, nor did I have there service at any point. But they insist on a payment of $350 in addition to the $48/quarter as well. If I could give them a zero for customer service and attitude, I would. read more

We bought a house 3 months ago. We tried to set everything up before for an easy transition. Nobody told us trash was part of the sale. We went to the office to set up start date, ect. Lady there was rude, didn't care and never bothered to tell us that we didn't need to set anything up, it was part of the sale. When we bought the house, there were 2 blue barrels and 1 green. They were full from the last owner. There was a fee in closing to roll service to us. Of course we don't know what is normal or not, bills don't show details, they just want their money. All go out and get emptied every week, no big deal. One of the blue cans broke, split all up the back. My husband set up for a replacement. Email confirmed..all good. A grizzly looking guy with new cans pulled up about 115pm. He announced an extra can, not a replacement. I asked him if he was bringing me a new one, since his attitude told me no. He said "no, you pay for 2" and took off. He couldn't have been more rude and acted like we were a criminal because we had 3. Didn't stick around long enough for me.to try to ask questions or clear up or explain why we have 3. Just flew off with a broken trash can. Now I'm sure we will get a bill for the "extra can" for the the past 3 months. Funny how the bills don't say "how many cans" and it never mentioned in the house sale/switch of ownership of service. If it's a big enough deal to "confiscate " our trash can, maybe the bill should mention some count allowed/ registered or emptied each week and charge per trash can empty. I would rate zero stars if I could, I've only been in Bullhead city for a very short time and my trash can has been skipped over twice and the second time I called for a recovery pick up and no one has shown up. I was told it would be picked up by 6 PM and they lied to me. I pay my bill on time every month so I would expect the same timely service. read more

I bought a home in Bullhead City. It was never disclosed to me that I need to pay for trash. The house I bought was to have 2 holidays a year with my kids seeing as I don't live there its the middle point between our family. I don't use trash service and they sent me a bill past due from the time I purchased the house. So basically you have to pay for something you don't get. That is against the law. Bullhead City contract with this service really needs to be modified. From what I have been reading the service is horrible anyways. I have called to cancel and was told I am not allowed to cancel. Well, I will no longer pay for something I don't use. There are people in that neighborhood who have never paid for trash that are snow birds. How is relatable to some homes and not others on the same street. read more

John Herbert does a great job in customer relations. I was very upset because I missed my trash day and he calmed me down and told me just to put my extra bags out next week and the trash man would be more than happy to take them all. I guess I just need to pay attention to the fact that those boys worked all their butts off and work all holidays except Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's eve. read more

My mom due to illness no longer resides in Mohave Valley AZ. Currently the only time her trash is emptied is when her yard is cleaned once a month. Last month I had to call to get her cans emptied. This month I had to call 4 times. When I called this afternoon it had to spell Mohave Valley 5 times before Melissa understood what I was saying. No Melissa Mojave Desert and Mohave Valley are not the same thing. I was told I would get a call from management. I got a call today telling me the can had been emptied. That was 1 hour after I called and told them it had been emptied when I was calling to complain. Lack of communication is obviously a issue. This place has the absolute worst service ever! It's not the call center but the local division, who you can't talk to unless they call you. Random bills they say haven't been paid get slapped on my account with no explanation, dates, etc. Thankful I'm not on autopay! I'm not a local resident but rent out my property so I had no idea they never delivered the second container I ordered and have been charged for for almost a month now. This is a perfect example of why cities should not enter into exclusive service contracts that only benefit poorly run corporations, who have no motive to look into and fix any issues. The city has eliminated any competition for them. So the question is: why would a city enter into an agreement that has no remedy for its businesses or citizens? All you can do is show up at your next chamber of commerce meeting and let them have it!! read more

Good luck reaching republic by telephone. I have spent several hours on hold over the last three days trying to reach a customer service agent to cancel service. I then tried to cancel my service via their message interface, but received response the next day saying that service can only be cancelled over the phone. Worst customer service ever! read more

I have been trying for almost a week to get a service contract with this company. You would think a company in the service industry wouldn't make it so HARD to do business with them. I am the new owner of rental property. I just want to switch the existing service to my name as the previous owner is deceased and I inherited the property. Anyway, it took me three attempts on the phone being on hold for over 15 minutes each time. First time as soon as they answered they hung up on me. Second time I ran out of time as I was on my break at work and had to hang up before anyone answered the call. The third time I finally spoke with a person. I told her what I needed and gave her all of my information. She said she would complete the contract and email to me right away. She verified my email address. No email ever showed up. So I had to try again. The second time I tried to contact them I decided instead of sitting on hold again I would just go online and print out an agreement and fill out. NOPE. No option for that. Only to provide your contact information and someone will contact me within 2 business days. Waited the two days and NO CONTACT. Okay third time trying I called and got right through. Talked to a girl and she looked up the address. NONE of the information that I had provided several days earlier was in the system EXCEPT for my email address! But no email was ever sent. So I had to give her all the same information second time. She said she would complete the contract and email to me right away and should have it in about 10 minutes. Of course no email after 10, 20, or 30 minutes. Finally, over an hour later I get the email and it's not even from the person I spoke to. I open the attachment and ALL the contact and address info is WRONG! Are you kidding me?! How is this so difficult? So I email back and inform them that this is the THIRD time giving them the correct information. Wait for another email...... Get email. Open and print attachment. Finally it's right! No wait... never mind. Still WRONG!!!!! I asked for a bigger dumpster TWICE and they had me down for the same size that is there now! Then as I am reading all the fine print I discover they want me to sign a 3 year contract... for TRASH REMOVAL! I am seriously thinking I need to find another company. This is just CRAZY. read more
