The property is beautiful, super clean, and incredibly peaceful exactly what you want in a hot springs spa. Every staff member we interacted with was kind and welcoming. A special shoutout to Jolyn, who was my massage therapist she was AMAZING. I was celebrating my birthday, and she truly made my visit feel extra special. Her massage was incredible, and I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. My boyfriend had Joshua, and he also had an amazing experience he couldn't stop raving about how great his massage was. Lastly, Keana at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, which really set the tone for the entire visit. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to unwind, celebrate something special, or just treat yourself. We'll definitely be back!

When we arrived, the older woman who checked us in didn't ask if it was our first time or explain anything about the experience. Because of that, we didn't know we were supposed to change before going to the spa, weren't told about using the pixie dust, and weren't offered robes. We were given no guidance at all, which made it frustrating to later see other guests being warmly welcomed and fully informed. I really think they need to do better with first-time guests. The only thing that truly saved the experience was the young woman who checked us out--she was incredibly sweet and apologetic when I explained what happened. She even said she wished she had been there to check us in. Her kindness made a big difference.

Moving through the hall, you can already feel a sense of peace settling in. I love that they offer purified water at the base of the stairs -- with the option to add mineral salt if you choose (my personal fav!). At the top of the stairs, the beautiful loft space opens up as the main room. Sunlight pours through the windows, illuminating another collection of thriving plants, each brimming with prana, or life force energy. Step into the heated room and you'll find warm, welcoming lighting, a fun disco ball overhead, and the gentle warmth of infrared heating panels. Every prop you could need is provided -- and there's enough for everyone. The teachers are all incredible in their own unique ways. Dharma offers the most comprehensive class schedule in North County SLO, with start times ranging from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., seven days a week. The owner, Jena, is a truly special soul whose calming, present energy is felt the moment you meet her. The love and intention she's poured into this space is woven into every detail. Downstairs, there's a lovely wellness lounge featuring an array of healing modalities and a space for other practitioners to host workshops -- from Reiki trainings to massage to bio-tuning and beyond. The class variety is just as rich: from sweat-inducing, kick-your-butt Inferno Pilates to deeply gentle restorative yoga; from classic Hatha to candlelit flow and stretch classes taught by instructors from all walks of life. Dharma Yoga Loft is something truly special in Paso Robles -- a town that's still relatively sleepy to the conscious community. Jena has created a space that honors those ideals while remaining inviting and welcoming to everyone, whether or not they're already tuned in to higher frequencies. I cannot say enough good things about Dharma, it's truly a gem!

My room was spotless and comfortable, and every staff member I interacted with was warm and welcoming. The concierge team in particular was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions or requests. The one big disappointment was the spa. The posted hours are not honored consistently, and several times the ladies working there were clearly trying to shut things down early and move guests out as quickly as possible. The infrared sauna closes at five even though massages are still running later, and guests are not allowed to stay and use it afterward. Even during open hours, the infrared sauna was not heated up fully, so you do not get the full benefit of the treatment. Overall, I loved the hotel and the service, but the spa feels poorly managed compared to the rest of the property. If they fixed the spa hours and made sure the amenities were actually ready for guests, this would be an easy five-star experience.

More of a boutique spa, at least that's what they call it…read more It's not really what you would expect from a "resort spa experience" in that they're missing several elements that go in to a spa experience. Pretty much everyone at this resort running things has "some experience" but not a great deal. Spa is being run by someone who is very new to the area, and a lot of assumptions and lack of communication unfortunately informed my three visits to the spa during my stay. The spa director didn't have specific answers about products when asked, or even about the resort, which was very odd. The masseuse was good, though again lacking in a lot of experience, and unfortunately seemed more green and well-meaning than relaxed and confident ... but lacking in some common sense; he often either dug in too deep without carefully checking how my muscles would respond, or going so gently that rather than it feeling relaxing, would feel a bit unsettling. He also at times worked on areas I'd asked him to please leave alone. You are paying an automatic 20% gratuity whether or not you feel that it was earned. And the services are priced of course incredibly expensive, due to the fact that you're in a "resort". Never mind that they're missing a lot of the elements that traditional spa should have; a real sauna, a steam room, a large changing area where you can shower and then do your hair and make up. Overall, the spa has a feeling of being an afterthought - as if it were built after the hotel was already in place, and they felt they should add something to be able to call the hotel a "Resort & Spa". The little touches that one might be accustomed to from professional spas were lacking (hot teas, fruit, showers...) and there's literally only one toilet - which meant that unbelievably, I was left standing in my robe waiting to use the restroom twice during my visit. The decor is simple and generic, totally fine, and they have a small locker room, but I was unable to fit either my purse nor my bag with gym clothes into the locker - so the front desk needed to hang on to them. It was fine, but definitely not worth the pricing. Thank you.
