I took a very body-healing warm stretch Yin Yoga class this morning, with Jena. Life-alteringly good! The loft temp was a perfect cleansing warm and she did a great job of sharing her beautiful spirit thru serious but gentle stretches. She always does! Thankyou, Jena. This class may become my sacred Sunday practice! read more

Dharma Yoga Loft is unlike anything I've ever experienced. As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted by a stunning curation of living plants that immediately put you at ease. Moving through the hall, you can already feel a sense of peace settling in. I love that they offer purified water at the base of the stairs -- with the option to add mineral salt if you choose (my personal fav!). At the top of the stairs, the beautiful loft space opens up as the main room. Sunlight pours through the windows, illuminating another collection of thriving plants, each brimming with prana, or life force energy. Step into the heated room and you'll find warm, welcoming lighting, a fun disco ball overhead, and the gentle warmth of infrared heating panels. Every prop you could need is provided -- and there's enough for everyone. The teachers are all incredible in their own unique ways. Dharma offers the most comprehensive class schedule in North County SLO, with start times ranging from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., seven days a week. The owner, Jena, is a truly special soul whose calming, present energy is felt the moment you meet her. The love and intention she's poured into this space is woven into every detail. Downstairs, there's a lovely wellness lounge featuring an array of healing modalities and a space for other practitioners to host workshops -- from Reiki trainings to massage to bio-tuning and beyond. The class variety is just as rich: from sweat-inducing, kick-your-butt Inferno Pilates to deeply gentle restorative yoga; from classic Hatha to candlelit flow and stretch classes taught by instructors from all walks of life. Dharma Yoga Loft is something truly special in Paso Robles -- a town that's still relatively sleepy to the conscious community. Jena has created a space that honors those ideals while remaining inviting and welcoming to everyone, whether or not they're already tuned in to higher frequencies. I cannot say enough good things about Dharma, it's truly a gem! read more

My friend and I attended Yin Yoga with Reiki and Sound hosted by Aluminea and she was wonderful. I have been to many yoga studios before but none with bolsters and blankets. They have a lot of on site equipment to make sure you have a supported experience. This class was slow paced, focused on mindfulness, and exploration. The crystal bowls and the Reiki frequencies were beautiful to listen to while we held poses. Aluminea was a fantastic guide for our one hour session, and I highly recommend trying it. read more

We had a lovely experience with Dharma Yoga's mobile yoga. For my birthday we had a morning session at our rental house outside near the pool. It was a brisk morning but a lovely, relaxing, meditative way to start the day. The price was fair and it was easy to book. The instructor was wonderful. Such a great start to the weekend. read more

I can not thank Jena and Lauren from Dharma Yoga enough for making this possible. When my husband asked what I wanted to do for my birthday. I told him I wanted to relax, drink wine, and do yoga. He did not disappoint me. Thanks to Dharma Yoga, my birthday crew and I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise session under the oaks. I highly recommend Jena. She was easy to reach, has fair prices, and gave us exactly what we were looking for. Thank you again, Lauren. read more

Excellent service and Maddison's love for her work shows in every single detail. It was a fantastic experience and I totally recommend it. The cold lavender towels were a treat! read more

Cute ambiance. A little rough around the edges on the Hatha direction. Truly felt invisible which isn't all bad actually. But not friendly at all and less than top level verbal cues. It's how yoga can become a problem for the body when care isn't taken to guide with thorough cues. read more

Great location and great classes. I came from out of town and took a heated class and a non heated class and I loved them both!

This is by far the best wellness studio in SLO County. Management/Ownership is professional, wholesome, local and always available. The caliber of community, education and engagement you will receive here is unmatched. Every instructor and class here is exceptional and highly addicting. You do not want to pass up this amazing studio. read more

There are so many wonderful, skilled instructors at this studio. I am so happy to have a great yoga option in Paso Robles. This small loft has a positive, cozy aesthetic that instantly puts your mind at ease. There are heaps of class options for all levels, making it always work with my schedule. My favorite classes are Candlelight Yoga with Ashly, Hot Yoga with Lauren, Healing Yoga with Jillian, Soulful Yoga with Kolleen, and literally anything taught by Jena will not disappoint. read more

Great place would, definitely recommend. Love the new ownership and energy in the studio. The new wellness lounge was a great add on to the studio and community! read more

There aren't very many yoga studios in North County, so I really want to be able to like this place. I have waited to write this review, because I have never actually taken a class but the reason I haven't taken a class is the staffs attitude right when I come through the door. Every year I stop in and hope the vibe will be different, and every year it's the same. I can never tell who is staff and who is just loitering around, because no one greets you when you walk in. When I attempt to ask questions about classes or products I feel like I am interrupting the conversation in the room and am a burden. I am done trying to come here. read more

Wow, what a difference! I finally got to try Dharma Yoga Loft now that it's been under new ownership, and it's a whole different experience. The instructors seem like they genuinely want to be there and care about the quality of their classes. You can pay and book online quickly and conveniently via MindBody. (No more of that annoying cash only business!) Also, the warm yoga option is a great transition to hot yoga - I have a hard time jumping right into hot yoga after not taking that type of class for a while. Can't wait to try more of the other classes! read more

I have been 5 times now and am liking the variety of classes and times offered here compared to other gyms and studios in the area. Instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. The reason for the 3 stars is that they cram way too many people in the hot yoga classes where you can't properly do some positions and a few times the instructor had nowhere for their mat so they couldn't demonstrate and just stood there. Also, the hot yoga room smells strange. I recommend requiring people to book their spot online and have a cut off so those who can take the classes get the full benefits because these classes are expensive. read more

Excellent!! Hot yoga in paso!! I have tried a number of county studios and loved to option of close to home, 100 degree room and good teachers, Especially jacqui, Dick and Lauren! I am looking at improving my yoga practice and she offers opportunity and directions to improve my practice! Please include more 26 plus!! Thank you read more

I took prenatal yoga classes from Jena during my pregnancy. I looked forward to each class and came away feeling refreshed and relaxed. It was great having discussions about pertinent topics that come up during pregnancy with guest speakers including doulas and holistic health practitioners. Jena was wonderful at providing options at each level and making me feel comfortable while making sure poses were executed correctly. I attended classes from 18 weeks until I was 41 weeks pregnant and I am convinced that the practice made my birthing process easier and my recovery quick. I was back to pre-pregnancy weight within 3 months. The center also offers classes for new moms and regular yoga classes along with retreats. I will definitely be back; highly recommended. read more

Have you ever connected with a yoga or fitness class/instructor/venue so completely that it darn near shocks you as to how you can meld so perfectly? That's where I'm at with a Yoga Boot Camp I'm doing at Serenity Yoga Center in Templeton, CA. This 30-day yoga intensive includes a personalized workshop, private yoga instruction, chi machine, infared sauna, and unlimited semi-private group yoga for an incredible price. But beyond that, the people who lead this program are extraordinary. Not only are they extremely qualified as yogis, but they are compassionate, genuine, and deeply connected gems of this world. The healing is deep and I am so very grateful. Call them today if you are desiring the same 805-434-1924. Invest in yourself this holiday season. I'm a holistic health practitioner with high expectations, so trust me on this place. read more

Based on the other review on this page I did not try Dharma Yoga when I moved here late last year. A few weeks ago a good friend said she did Yoga at Dharma and invited me. I am so glad that I went because I love this studio and the teachers. The room is very comfortable with just the right amount of students. The teachers are all very educated and dedicated to their practice. They are great at giving instruction and options for all levels and are very careful of any injuries or issues you may have. I feel that this is as nice or nicer than any studio I went to down south. I would recommend anyone looking for a studio to give it a try. Now if I could just find a great Pilates studio?? read more

A truly excellent Yoga studio.. I have lived and worked in Switzerland, England, France, Ireland, and now USA. Dharma Yoga compares to studios in which i have practiced throughout the years, internationally and through out the USA. Offering a variety of classes for all levels, and likes: Teachers who have different teaching styles, but each dedicated to students' well-being, and there are welcoming smiles from the Yoginis. Well done Wendy you have created a great space. read more

Great yoga classes ! I have been to a couple classes with Kolleen, super healing spiritual instructor.. highly recommend .. namaste

I really wanted to like this studio, seeing as its the only one in my home town. I found myself visiting good ole Paso for a bit so I purchased the unlimited month pass. After the first class was over I had decided to remain in Savasana for a few extra mintues. However as soon as the class was over, the instructor a few feet behind me was trying to get other students to sign a petition to get an issue involving: making it mandatory for girls under 18 to get consent from their parents to get an abortion, on the ballot. What the junk?? At a yoga studio?? I was definitely turned off, but seeing as its the only one in Paso and I already paid for the month I decided to give it another go. Second class I took was alright, then the same thing happened the third class. Different instructor, different petition, this time I was too grossed out by the inappropriate political nonsense to pay attention and left right away. I'm just confused, why is this kind of space being created at a yoga studio? That was that last class I was able to take here. Being a bit obsessed with yoga I did try to take more. My plan was to just take the class and leave immediately after. PART 2 OF MY RANT: My family lives in Heritage Ranch. So to come into town to take a class I have to drive 20 minutes. No big deal I normally don't mind it, except the class was canceled. Only way of finding out was by going to the stuido, walking in and seeing a paper on the door saying cancel. This happened four times in a row! Four classes within a week and a half canceled with no update on the website or anything. Pretty not cool for a studio that doesn't have many classes to begin with. Gave up after that. So that's it, that's my rant. Reluctantly highly disappointed. read more

Wendy and the other teachers offer a welcoming open place to expand my practice. An excellent studio with a welcoming space and dedicated teachers. Dharma compares favorably with some of my favorite yoga studios in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and New York, really even better than most because of the intimate setting, extra attention and friendly patrons. I just called the studio as a first time student. The woman apparently the owner, answered "Hello".... like I was calling her home. That was offputting... I had to ask if it was Dharma Yoga!!! Extremely extremely unprofessional. Additonally, I am a person who is looking for classes and this woman was unbelieveably rude. No information unless I pulled it out of her. Her tone was not welcoming. I have one question for you Wendy... do you or do you not WANT students? My decision was made after talking with you. I must say, on my worst day, I would never anwer a phone for my business and speak to anyone with a monotone, unenthusiastic, unfriendly attitude. The women from San Francisco that reviewed your studio was apparently dead on about one thing.... you don't care about your students. Lady, You are in the wrong business. I will be going elsewhere. read more

I love this Yoga Studio! ....I can not figure out why they have some not so good/ or cruel reviews (but such is the nature of yelp!) I lived in Paso Robles and practiced at Dharma Yoga for one year. Kudos to Wendy for creating a space in which central coast yogis can practice so close to home. I only wish that I could still practice there read more

Spent $1350 to stay a month in a Serenity Yoga Retreat. Was not allowed to view the Garden Suite, but trusted in the Yogi Community. The place was filthy, condom wrapper under the bed with other odd looking things, dirty rag. Refrigerator not cleaned, floors were still dirty. Could not feel comfortable spending even a night let alone a month. Checked out, long story short, having to sue this spiritual retreat for my money back. Sad news. Buyer beware. read more
