Repinstech Corporation (Owner: Marc Tollison) is one of the most dishonest companies I have ever worked with. I have literally never written a bad review about any company before but feel it is absolutely necessary to warn people of this company's dishonest tactics to scam their customers. I hired Repinstech through thumbtack to diagnose an issue where my washing machine's drum was not balanced and made a lot of noise due to vibration on spin mode. The tech that came out quickly looked at the washing machine and told me three parts with the motor needed to be replaced. I wasn't even sure how he diagnosed that with how quickly he looked at the appliance. Total cost of the repairs was about $500. Luckily I hired another company to give me a second opinion. This tech for this other company opened up the front panel of the washing machine and showed me the real problem, one of the struts holding up the drum was broken in half. This was clearly the issue and made sense. He also showed me the motor and showed me it was in perfect working condition. Had I spent $500 to replace those parts, not only would I have replaced something that wasn't broken, I would still have had the broken strut and would have been asked to spend more money. This was clearly an attempt to scam me by Repinstech. The worst part is that before jumping to conclusions, I opened a resolution case through thumbtack to try and address the issue directly with Marc Tollison. His responses were all lies about what happened and he refused to right the situation by providing a refund for a complete misdiagnosis. He made zero attempts to right a really terrible situation. Update: Three weeks went by after my last review and I still hadn't received my refund and after calling and leaving several voicemails and never getting a call back, I had to file a dispute through my bank to get my money back. Biggest Scam!!! Do NOT use them! I made a call about my repairing my TV, they came checked it out and said they would order the parts but needed half the money up front. I didn't think any thing of it until three weeks went by and still no word for the company about repairing my TV. I emailed and called multiple times to get in touch with them but no answer. The repairman's line was even disconnected. The website had a wrong number listed as well. I finally got in touch with someone and they said it was on back order and would be another week. I waited another week and no update from the company again. I then got curious and went to 2 other repair shops in the area and they said my TV is impossible to fix due to the fact that the screen isn't available to be purchased. I called Repinstech back and asked for a refund and said they would refund me, but there "customer service department" had to email me about the refund so it'd be a few more days. A week later still no answer... I then had to go to Wells Fargo to have them pull the money back because I got ripped off by this awful company. They are running a serious scam!!! read more

If I can go less on the stars I would. I got them from thumbtack they recommended 85 to come out and diagnose my LG front load washer. As soon as I open the door the first words out of the techs mouth was I know whats wrong with you washer it needs a mother board. Without even inspecting it. I stated this to him since I already researched the several problems that may be. He goes to do his work and 30 minutes later comes up with a bill of over $400 to get the part(mother board) and that we need to pay 1/2 up front and they would order the part and come back 3-5 days later. I stated I would get back to him, I then proceed to research the part and it only cost from $120 refurbished to $210 brand new WOW they wanted to charge me 2x the price on the part alone no labor included. Thank god I am not one of those that they can take you for a ride. I order the part and replace it myself to guess what that was not the right diagnoses machine still doesn't work. BEWARE do not have them do the work they don't even know what they are talking about. Will update you on status of washer will get an LG professional out to look at it. read more
