Nothing short of the worst experience I've ever had. Seems like you all are in the business to steal people's money. The move-in process was a joke. I had to do everything myself. From finding out what water company serviced the address, to getting a mailbox key! The realtor whom had the house listed never helped at all. And, when he was let go during our move in, we were never told. Every time we had a ticket submitted it took a while to get it resolved. I had no hot water for about a week when the water heater went out. During the move out, I had to reschedule three times because the inspector "wrote down the wrong time" and the. The next excuse was that he had a "family emergency"!!!!!! Then, I worked on that house for a month, made it move-in ready only to receive half of my deposit. What a joke your company is, and good for you for getting away with it. If I had the choice I would of gone with another company, but I was just a tenant. I'm currently renting a house and have been having a couple of issues. The owner is hard to reach and I don't have direct contact with her. Latasha works here I just want to say how attentive and helpful she has been to make sure I am taken care of. She replies her emails within seconds sometimes which is incredible. I want to outermost point out how she specifically gave me Her personal email address so if I have any problems or need assistance she can help even when she's not at work. She's even helped me out when she's enjoying her off time on the weekends. At some times, I've felt bad for emailing her so much, but she's always made me feel like I can count on her and email her whenever I need it. I've never experienced such a good customer service and dedication to her job as I have with Latasha. She's truly an asset to this company and I hope you she stays around for a while! read more

After assuring us we would have a great experience worry free we assigned our house to them. 6 month after late payments we are in the process of eviction. If you think they would take care of thing for you... you are wrong! They asks us to get a lawyer. This is exactly why we did not want to rent by ourselves but I guess they received the money for a 2 year contract and they are happy while leaving us in the air. The person in charge of evictions is nowhere to be found he did call back a couple of times but doesn't help the situation. I don't even know if they know what they are doing. Apparently not. Save yourself the headache and look for another company or do it yourself. BTW I hate to leave bad reviews I rather say nothing but this time it really got me! read more

They did not conduct the proper background checks on tenants they found for me and assured me it was ok since they were an insurance placement even though they had very poor credit due to unpaid bills (house supposedly burned down so their insurance covers their rental charge while they investigate). Turns out the family they found me were not the clean, gainfully employed, law abiding citizens they claimed to be! The Houston police arson unit called me notifying me that this family has a history of fraud and got a warrant approved for arson and insurance fraud! (They claimed their house was burned down by a faulty tv wire when it was left on but investigators found out they burned their house down to collect insurance money!). They were also investigating the fact that they were harboring a wanted felon (relative of theirs) in my house without telling me! What a nightmare family to deal with and Renter's Warehouse did not help my situation at all! Thank goodness I evicted them because they changed the locks on my house without notifying me and later the police called me and began their hunt with their warrant in hand. My agent, Jamie, never made me feel like she was on my side; it made it feel like they only cared about the tenant client relationship and not looking out for the Landlord. This bad experience is a consequence of that bad feeling. Horrible experience and I completely regret working with Renter's Warehouse. read more

I'm a tenant and not happy with the service at all. If you have to deal with this company as the landlords choice, you better run. Since I've lived here, I can't even get anything fixed, repaired or serviced. In Houston, it's almost 100 degrees and me and my children have no cool air unless I call someone myself. Or they will be happy to call someone for me and charge a service charge just for someone to come out and tell me what's wrong. I've never heard of tenants responsible for any service needs. It's a rip off and can't wait to put in my noice and see what's the next set of problems they will come up with. One thing I would like to add to my review is the one and only helpful person who's been a miracle and that's Latasha. To the leaser; Be careful when dealing with these folks. My experience was with Jamie. Be prepared to hire an attorney to get your deposit back through some phantom loophole in the lease. They will swindle you and claim the language of the lease changed during your tenure. They owe me my entire deposit and kept it claiming my "home wasn't available to view" and never gave me a written explanation as to why even though the place was in pristine condition when I moved out. They will try to get every cent out of you. read more

We set up a time with Scott Daley to view a house, provided him with all the information he asked for, and were told that he would confirm over text 1 hour prior to the appointment. We got no such confirmation so we decided to contact him, just to make sure. It was only at that point, less than 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment, that Scott informed us the the property was no longer available and he would not be there. If we hadn't have reached out he would have just stood us up! We didn't receive an apology, even when we informed him that we were disappointed in his actions. This is highly unprofessional and distrustul. I expect the people I do business with to have more integrity than that. read more

Property in Spring, TX: I would give this company "0" stars if I could. Initially I gave a 5-star review for an individual in maintenance NOT the company as a whole. I made the decision to come back and edit my review. I am the kind of person who relies on reviews, positive and negative, so please read closely. *Renters Beware* If you want to spend your hard earned money with a company who is fair, values your business and truly has your best interest at heart, please stay far far away from Renters Warehouse. I want to start by saying if the listing agent on the property is Niki Wilson, you will not be taken care of properly. She is not customer oriented nor does she value you as a tenant. After opening the front door to a home I had just signed the lease on, that was infested with wasps (more than 50), Niki instructed me to put in a online maintenance request. She said "You're a tenant now." She didn't care not one bit about how that effected my family or my safety. She told me she had no contact information for emergency maintenance on a Saturday. I could go on and on about Niki Wilson but The story gets worse. To make matters worse, the home was uninhabitable. I was NEVER able to live there one day. After the wasp infestation was addressed I noticed that the water was not hot nor was the heat working. There were violations with carbon monoxide codes and fire hazards with the furnace and hot water heater. Centerpoint didn't want to hook a gas line up to the home because it was not safe. Sadly, the owner urged me to have the gas hooked up to the home despite Centerpoints warning not to. The water pressure in the home was low as well. I was paying rent on a home that was unliveable. After contacting Renters Warehouse on a large number of occasions and speaking with the owner of the home himself, things were not remedied two weeks into the lease. After seeking advice from an attorney I vacated the property because it was not safe for my children and myself, it was uninhabitable, the lease contract was breached and Renters Warehouse could not get things remedied between their company and the owner. Things like hot water, heat and water pressure should be remedied within the first few days of leasing a home. Over two weeks later, after contacting the CEO Richard Drake II, there has been no resolution and I have heard back from no one in the company since December 14, 2018. I have not been able to collect my funds back from a home I never was able to live in. With the deposit, rent and moving fees , I have lost more than $4500 with no home to live in. I am a mother with two toddlers and now we are displaced and living with family. I am not satisfied with the level of professionalism and that has been given to this botched deal. I have been robbed. To say that this is unfair is an understatement. Please think two or three times over before renting from Renters Warehouse. I do not recommend this company. read more

Very unprofessional and rude. I moved in my house a week ago. The air went out friday, I called they said someone would call me in an hour, no one did. I Called the Realtor who works with Renters warehouse and he told me. to purchase a window until for a home that I just paid $4,000 to move into. He also said he was not super man and he could not fly to my house to fix my air. I called Renters Warehouse the next day, again I was told someone would call me back and no one did so I called back a third time. Someone finally called me back, but not about my air, but to say if I keep calling they would charge me! Charge me for calling to report my house is 100 degrees in Texas and I have 3 small children. One is 6 months and the other 2 have asthma which is flared by things sucj as getting over heated. This is an emergency situation and no one has helped me. My children and I were drenched in sweat Friday night so we had to leave our home to stay with friends and family. I should not have to drag my children to stay with others sleepong on couches and floors when I had to pay all this money to move into this house. After three months, J******* T***** from Renter's Warehouse did not find a tenant for my apartment. When I checked for my listing online, I didn't see it on many of the sites where Renter's Warehouse promised it would be posted. They have a minimum $1,000 charge to find you a renter, and J******* T***** did not adequately post my rental online! I lost 3 months in rent because of her neglect. Early on, because J******* T***** was not addressing my concerns, answering my questions, or providing me with weekly status updates, I contacted her manager, J**** M*****. J**** M*****assured me she was working very hard but that she just doing a poor job of communicating and then promised that it would get better. Communication improved a little but was never adequate. She still wasn't finding me a tenant so she suggests that I offer a "move in special" to attract a contract. I asked her to find out if Renter's Warehouse would absorb the cost for this incentive, and her manager, J**** M***** told me that they would wave 2 months of rental management fees. ($200 bucks) and then stoped answering my emails to negotiate further. Pardon? I'm already paying YOU a thousand dollars to find me a tenant. I am not willing to take an additional financial hit especially when it was your job to set the rent, offer deals, etc...at a price that would allow it to rent quickly. But there's more!! -Yesterday, my old neighbor contacted me. He said that his friend was interested in the apartment, but when she called the number on the sign, they weren't calling her back! "Can I give her your number?" he asked. Seriously. J******* T***** wasn't calling back the people who were driving by the house and calling the number on the sign. I had to make the call. read more

If you are a renter, avoid properties associated with Renters Warehouse. Upon move in to our rental home, we discovered there were numerous maintenance issues, they clearly don't properly ready the house for the new tenants. Getting maintenance done is a timely process, just pray that your furnace doesn't go out in winter or your A/C in summer if you choose to use them. You'll likely wait a week or more to get these things fixed. Do yourself a favor and rent from someone else. read more

We continue to have a positive experience with Renters Warehouse. We recently had a problem with the pool and Kim Alfano was very helpful coordinating the repairs between us, the tenants, warranty company and the pool company and kept us updated all along. Similarly other maintenance issues have been handled very efficiently and they also took care of renewing our annual rental license. I chose RW for my duplex based on radio recommendations . The first RW agent did not list it online properly so I did not have renters for 4 months until I figured this out (yes, I forgot to "search" for my own property after I signed up with RW....mistake.) Second RW agent finally found renters for me, one was great, the other terrible. Tenant was late on rent two months in a row and I asked RW that they be moved to cashiers check only (they only had 4 months left on their lease.) RW agreed but they didn't convey this to the tenant and yes, they are still late on rent with RW apologizing for "overlooking" this. I requested a "walk through" and it took them almost 3 months to do it and get the video/report to me. Overall TERRIBLE customer service and no one seems to know what is going on when I call them. Choose another service and save yourself the headache. They couldn't be worse than RW. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Listed my home with them for over 60 days with no showings. They advertise that you can cancel services at any time. I have told them 4 times that I no longer need their services, however, they still have it listed. They are very untimely at returning calls and emails. I found my own renters and sent them the information to draw up a lease and after 10 days nothing was done. Service is nothing like the commercials that I have heard on the radio. read more

Rented from them about 2 years ago and signed a 1 year lease. At the last minute the home owner told Renters Warehouse that he would manage the property vs allowing them to manage the property. The day we signed the lease the leasing agent with Renters Warehouse went through the house to take a video of the condition of the home. The home was in terrible existing condition, but we were in a hurry to move-in. She assured me multiple times that we would be protected and not held liable for the existing conditions when we move out. The owner was terrible and wouldn't respond to requests for maintenance. One year later we submit notice to the Landlord, as per the lease, that we will be vacating at the end of the term. I contacted Renters Warehouse to inquire on the video. I was told they did not have a video on file! I was extremely upset and spoke to many people at their office including the manager and kept getting the same response. Their lease did not provide for an existing conditions inventory list as typical residential leases provide because of this video! Needless to say, the home owner thought that he provided us a home in excellent condition, which he did not. Even the leasing agent said it was not, so I reached out to her. She had left Renters Warehouse and moved out of Houston. She recalled the existing condition of the house and how the landlord was unresponsive and unreliable. She said that she submitted the video to Renters Warehouse and stated that she could not receive her commission without submitting the video. I told that to Renters Warehouse but they just kept saying the same response, we do not have a video on file. I lost my security deposit that was over $3,000.00 due to Renters Warehouse negligence! If you are considering renting a home from them be forewarned! Ask for copy of this very important video, I wish I would've known. read more

I hired Renters Warehouse to list our rental home. While I am happy that we got a tenant fairly quickly, I think that was in spite of Renters Warehouse, not because of. I was not happy with the communication with our listing agent, Shaniese. For starters, she disregarded what I told her we wanted to list for the rental rate, using a lower number. The initial on-line listing she posted had a write up that showed no thought or effort and had a typo in it. That took days to get fixed. Days would go by with e-mails not answered. Even after the new tenant submitted the paperwork to get approved for the lease, I had to constantly follow up on the status of the background check and credit check. Renters Warehouse uses an on line signing app that is clunky, and I prefer to have actual signatures on paper. No matter how often I told them I did not want to use dotloop to sign documents, she continued to send documents that way. Other than conducting the credit check and background check, I don't feel like I got anything of value from this company. The house was leased to the first people who saw it, and they came to see it because of the sign in the yard. I could have done that. read more

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, BROKERS, AND AGENTS! Their broker and agent failed to abide by their code of ethics and fraudulently signed my name on the Property Management Agreement. I was out of the country and signed all docs electronically, but this agreement was signed in person by the agent, CHRIS WILLIAMS (lic #592070) w/o me giving authority to sign. He signed my name to this agreement because it had the proposed tenant's credit report attached. The tenant has a credit score of 550, prior evictions, and car repossessions. There is no way I would have agreed to such an applicant and why did the experts (broker- Michael Kenneth Reeder, lic #500434 and Renters Warehouse that I hired for a service failed to manage their agents. Not to mention that the unqualified applicant was not even the person occupying my home.This was my first tenant after spending $20,000 to renovate. I had to evict and the Renters Warehouse inspector gagged and almost vomited at the conditions of my home. They were NOT remorseful knowing that such an agent worked for them and that I entrusted their company. Although they knew about Chris and even told me that he was doing the same to other clients of theirs, they did not even show up to the writ of possession and my w/d, and fridge were stolen that was indeed listed in the initial inspection.
