Owner, Jeff, in Clarksburg, MD is VERY VERY RUDE... has a total attitude problem. I rented a snake to clear a main drain and it did not include a special bit that I needed, and I was told that another bit would work to clear the drain. I did not work. I was still charged even though it did not work. I went yesterday to rent something else and he coped an attitude with me saying if I ever "complain again don't come here again, this will be the last time!" I simply walked out. He has no business running a business. Plain and simple. Sunbelt Rentals or Unlimited Rentals has way better customer service. This company does not have a corporate office so there is no where to call to file a complaint. This company is a franchise and individually owned. read more

I've only had great experiences with Rentals Unlimited. From chainsaw blade sharpening to scaffolding to renting multiply different large earth moving equipment. Once I had the worst day ever, and I was stuck in traffic and called them and told them I was on my way and would be about 5 minutes after closing, they waited and helped unload my genie lifts. I have never had anything but positive experiences with them. I'm a small contractor and all the equipment I've rented has been in excellent condition. read more

I rented a lawn seeder and tailgate ramps on a Saturday morning, but didn't get a chance to even unload it at home because the day got overtaken by other errands and when I finally was ready late in the afternoon, it started pouring rain. Ugh. And of course the wife wasn't really happy with me spending $75 to rent a tool and then never using it...I brought it back Monday morning and told RU what happened. They were totally cool about it and gave me a big break (not listing the specifics here because you may be an a-hole and try and force them to give you the same deal). The bottom line is that it was my fault for not planning a little better. I admitted it was my fault and I treated them with respect and they reciprocated. I have never written a bad review and tried to resolve the issue we had before resorting to this but here is my experience: On 01/19/2019 we were delivered a Backhoe that we secured several days prior. When the delivery came my husband noticed the poor condition of the tire tread (which was not the first time we rented a piece of equipment from them in this condition). He asked the delivery person how he was supposed to operate this machine in that condition and the driver had mentioned going back and getting better tires. The issue with that was that A. we were renting the machine for an emergency situation and had a limited time frame with snow coming in the later part of the day. And B. That we should have received the equipment in operational condition from the start. With no other choice we signed the papers and began using the machine the best we could. We, unfortunately, were not able to get the job done mainly due to no traction, which was causing more of a mess than anything. We are not complainers and try to avoid it at all possible but when they charged us an extra amount because they had to clean the machine and said that we used it for 10 hours, which was physically impossible due to the simple fact that we were at the site for less than 8 hours, we had to. We wasted our money that day due to the tire condition and on top of it got slammed with a cleaning fee. The company made no attempt to resolve the situation so here we are with no other choice but to let others aware of our experience. Anyone in the business of operating heavy equipment will understand how extremely important it is to have proper tread on the tires. They not only put their customers at risk but they also put the customer's property as risk. read more

We rented out a lawn roller on 4:14pm on a Saturday and the return day was mentioned Sunday 4:14pm om the receipt. We came to return it before the due time just to find out the store was closed and there was no drop off place. The receipt has obvious conflicting information regarding the return date and times. I was asked to pay for a day and a half when I went to return it on Monday at 11:30am. The sales person Rodnay was very rude and said he would make a refund for the half day and asked us not to come back to the store again. The worst part was "WE WERE ASKED NEVER TO COME BACK TO THE STORE AGAIN". Rentals Unlimited is this how you treat your customers? Please learn to respect your customers atleast. read more

My company rented a dump truck from the Clarksburg location and while on the way to return it, the power steering went out and then the brakes went out. The response from the store was they would send a mechanic to fix it costing hours in wait time. We requested that they pick up the truck and call us when they did. I rec'd a message hours later and called to complain, the manager Chris rudely told me "didn't I ever get a flat tire"; my driver could have been hurt/ killed and he offered no apology for the defective equipment and expressed no concern for my driver. He also refused to make any adjustment and indicated that we were lucky, we weren't being charged for more time. Very disappointed with his response and this location. read more

I have rented a chainsaw and two track loaders from this location. Every single employee that works there is consistent when dealing with their customers. Each is very friendly, takes the time to talk to you, is knowledgeable about their equipment and truly puts the customer first. When they deliver equipment they call in advance, show up on time and pick up on schedule. The equipment is clean and in good working order. Not only do they rent equipment, they sell it. If you are looking for anything from a leaf blower to a bulldozer, they have it. You tell them the job you want to do and they will recommend the right equipment. Great group!
