Questions would come up and I'd either get no response or something super vague days later. After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore. My priors manager's communication was terrible and to make things worse they were also unapologetic and unprofessional. I think the latter may have actually pissed me off more. After my frustrating experience, I spent a lot of time researching for a better property manager. After interviewing Kendra, I decided to switch to Chambers, and the difference has been unimaginable. Kendra and her team have been nothing short of amazing. They are incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely make me feel valued as a client. Kendra's communication is excellent, she's quick to respond and always keeps me informed. The level of service she provides has given me peace of mind, something I desperately needed. I also appreciate having Chambers PM, specifically Kendra, to serve as a resource. My other properties are in Oakland and Walnut Creek, which is currently out of their service area, so I self-manage those rentals. And any time I have question about landlording or just need a second set of eyes on a tenant application, Kendra is willing to offer her expert advice, even though those properties aren't being managed by Chambers (yet! when/if they come to the Bay, those properties will be managed by Chambers.) My tenants are also much happier now. Kendra doesn't waste any time finding reliable tenants to fill vacancies whenever I may have one and her attention to detail has made property ownership stress-free. I feel very comfortable reaching out to her whenever any issues arise because I know she'll handle them promptly and effectively. The Chambers' team are a wonderful group who are truly engaged with their clients. Kendra's informative, has great communication skills, and goes above and beyond for her customers. She actually cares about her tenants and always answers the phone or calls back right away. If I could give more stars, I would! I had originally contacted them for a certain property I saw online and was interested in calling home. They contacted me swiftly and even told me about the other properties they available. The employees and the owner were and are always a joy to speak with. Whenever there was an issue with the residence, they would their best to do all that they could do to resolve the issue in the fastest way possible. The bad reviews about this company are appalling. In my own humble opinion, I feel as though the bad reviewers are a bit ignorant as to how a property management business works. They obviously do not know or care to learn how things work in the realty business. For some reason, they are holding the realty business responsible for the owner's choice to not pay someone to resolve the issue. This company most definitely cares very much about their customers. That alone will speak greatly about their character. Here is how it works: 1) The customer makes a request to the property management company. 2) The property management company sends the request and cost of the process to the owner. 3) The owner can choose to pay to have it fixed or simply choose not to. In this case, the owner chose not to pay to fix the issue. The property management company had absolutely no power over what the owner of the residence does. I am in no way an expert in how property management works; however, a few minutes of research will give you a general idea of how all this works. Granted, most of this is probably the owner's fault but I find it disappointing that the property manager had no knowledge of this and seemed blind sided when brought to their attention. However, my biggest concern is that WE HAVE NO HEAT (it's been about three weeks now). IT IS 31 DEGREES OUT THIS MORNING. They sent out a company that they've had issues with before over a week and a half ago. You would think that no heat would concern someone but it doesn't seem like it does at at. They gave us a space heater after we "complained" for the 5th time but it is completely useless. So, I guess we will put on two layers of clothes and four blankets while the property managers sleep soundly in their own warm homes. The only reason I am recommending this company is because most interactions with staff have been polite and they did take care of the other issues quickly. Other than that I am highly disappointed. Let me also remind you, that under the law no heat is considered an uninhabitable condition.

In my opinion this is the worst property management company ever!!!! Why they do collect your rent…read morethat is all they do. They do not take care of your home. I had a very nice, clean well maintained home, which I had built and lived in for over 10 years. The carpet had been replaced, new tile through out the house. The stove looked brand new. The yard was well maintained. Had asked that they do a walk thru every 6 months, had also asked that they have no pets. I went and checked on it and was horrified. The yard my trees were gone all the plants and flowers were dead. The house smelled. So decided to sell. They got the tenants out. They had dogs, which again I was not informed and they were told no pets. Found out they had not collected the security deposit. Mind you the tenants had lived in the house for close to 2 years. When I finally did the final walk after they had it cleaned thru with the Property Management. I was shocked the house was not clean. The grout was black. The grease on the stove was disgusting. Both tubs were black yes black . The smell in the house was awful. I kept saying this is clean and they assured me it was. So if you have a home you are thinking of renting please in my opinion A One Property is not for you!!! The worst part about all this is they think they did nothing wrong, they could not understand why I did not use them to sell my house, they thought they took great care of my home, I was to emotional about it. Sorry my house looked like it belonged in the slums they did not take care of it AT ALL in my opinion.
