The staff at the desk were unavailable even though the instructions said go to the front of the line at the side for the keys. The authorization on my phone took 15 or 20 minutes to go through, so by the time I actually got my truck, 45 minutes had gone by, and I was expected to return the vehicle on time, which meant that my 5 hour truck rental was more like a 4 hour truck rental, which made things extremely stressful. Facility was clean. Vehicle was clean and worked well. Staff appeared to be trying to do their jobs, but the system was not set up as I was led to believe it would.

This U-Haul's entire process is designed to trap honest customers. They rush you through pickup, skip a thorough inspection, then later claim damage once you're gone. It's shady, it's lazy, and it's completely unacceptable for a national company. If you ever rent from this U-Haul, record a full video of the truck before leaving the lot, every dent, scratch, and mark, because they'll gladly make you pay for someone else's mess. This experience was beyond frustrating, it was dishonest and disrespectful.

The customer service at Green Vans is friendly, responsive and personal. For an additional fee, they were able to deliver and later pick up the van to my work location in Boston and kept me posted via email and text as to when the van was delivered and where the key was left. The fee was well worth it in my opinion. They also removed the back row so we would have more room for luggage. That request is all part of the online confirmation process. Super easy and very clear instructions and fee structure. No hidden fees. Will definitely use again if and when the need arises in the future.

On Saturday, Eagle Leasing brought by a 20ft container to my house. Now, I don't usually get…read moreexcited by these things, but the entire experience was very positive. First, the driver was on exactly time- 8:30am. I have never seen such a beautiful and clean truck, and the container was really nice! The driver jumped out and extended his hand and was super friendly and just a happy guy. It's nice to see people who enjoy their work, and by the way, he was wearing a clean Eagle Leasing t-shirt too. I wanted to put the container in a place I thought might be difficult to get to, so the driver walked into the yard and behind the garage to see where I needed it placed. He was awesome. My yard is tricky because we have gardens everywhere. He maneuvered the large truck and container behind a row of hedges and precisely where I needed it. On top of that, the container was brand new and super clean. My wood floors don't look as good as the ones in this container! Anyway, whatever they are doing, they are doing it right! I am very happy about the container and the company. The driver was an excellent person about the company, and I would do business with them again without hesitation and I will refer everyone I know to them just because of how I was treated. After completing a rental through the website, I received a call informing me that there was…read moreactually a waiting list. I then called to rent a different tool that met my needs, and the transaction went through successfully. Later, I called again to confirm the exact delivery time, only to be told--again--that there was a waiting list. I explained that this was very upsetting, especially since I had spoken with someone by phone and was assured that my reservation was confirmed. In response, the person on the line told me to "watch your language"--even though I had not used inappropriate language, just expressed frustration. I genuinely cannot recall being treated with such disrespect by a reputable company. To make matters worse, I've already been charged, despite being told there's a waiting list. Each time he called he was assured the correct trailer would be ready for him. Sadly, each time he thought that he was all set he would find out that the wrong trailer type was reserved for him. They would reserve a tilt deck trailer rather than the hydraulic liftgate that lowers level to the ground for moving heavy large items. He somehow (thank goodness) found Kelly of the Haverhill, MA location who was not only able to get the correct trailer but took extra time confirming that it was in fact the correct one and she apologized for everything he went through. He did have to go to the Braintree location which was a far drive but at least he had the correct trailer. Kelly is A++++ Justina at the Braintree location was very nice and so helpful when he picked it up. He was able to return it to the Haverhill location which was much closer for him.

I've rented equipment from Steves as well as other rental businesses (before Steve's opened in…read more2022) and the experience was night and day. As Steves notes on their website, their rental equipment is far newer than all other nearby rental locations. Having experienced starting issues with equipment rented elsewhere, Steves equipment is far superior. Likewise, their customer service from Steve and Stephen is second to none. Their equipment is not only new but well Maintained and they offer delivery service if you need larger equipment and don't have a larger truck to move it. If you need to rent anything I highly recommend them as your first and only rental center.

Steve was so friendly and took the time to listen and offer suggestions. He was flexible with the scheduling, and made the whole thing easier by supplying a trailer for my equipment. The whole thing went incredibly smoothly and the guy who took my rental, upon completion, was equally friendly (even giving me a water because I'd been working all day in the sun). This the kind of customer service every company should strive to have. A+ for these guys.
