If one needs a packing/shipment box, like I did today, one can likely zip in and out plus the cost for boxes is competitive with box stores and Home Depot. I received excellent customer service this morning (from the fellow with the green painted fingernails-not judging). I rented a storage unit from HSCTO last year for 6 months. It was a truly seamless experience for me. My unit was clean unit, no one messed with my belongings and this place has easy access. Most importantly, I have received great customer service every time. All that I can say is that I believe that HSCTO is an excellent storage facility and would not hesitate to use it again.

Instead, I was told the truck had already left with my remote still inside. When I asked why it hadn't been taken out as I had been told, I received no reasonable explanation. The assistant manager, Maria, was extremely unprofessional on the phone. She told me their system was down and that she couldn't check anything, so I would have to call back later. I asked if she could call me back once the system was working again, and she immediately started trying to end the call without even asking for my phone number. It felt like she had no interest in helping resolve the situation. What made the experience even more frustrating was that when I later came into the store to retrieve my remote, the employee at the front desk told me the system had never been down. Hearing that after being told otherwise over the phone was incredibly disappointing. Whether I was given inaccurate information or simply brushed off, it reflects very poor leadership, a lack of professionalism, and a complete disregard for customer service. Customer service should involve taking ownership of mistakes, communicating honestly, and treating customers with respect. Instead, I was given conflicting information, my property was left in the truck after I was told it would be removed, and I was treated as though my concern was an inconvenience. I expected much better from U-Haul and would not recommend this location based on my experience.
