I just picked up my new 6x12 SA enclosed cargo trailer from Renown. They had the best price on the whole East Coast. I've been shopping for this trailer for about 6 months. I checked just about every trailer place from Florida to Maine. They beat the prices in New York by about $2,300, and they are beating the prices of the other trailer companies in their area by about $900 for this trailer. Cheryl was outstanding and took care of most of the ordering and financial details over the phone and through email and text. I met Garrett when I was there and he took care to show me everything about the trailer and answered all my questions and got me all set up and on the road. Took a lot of time to decide what manufacture to go with and regrettably we went with Renown Cargo Trailer. Ceiling of trailer is not covered, thought when we ordered this with full insulation the walls would of course be covered and so would the ceiling apparently not. Exposed wires at the intersection of the ceiling and walls. Now we have to spend more money to enclose the ceiling and time that we just don't have that's why we paid 23,000.00 for this specific trailer. Sent them an exact drawing with exact details of exactly what I wanted built, they agreed to the price and I sent them a $3500 deposit, when we went over it it with the manufacturer there were multiple things missing and they basically raised the price $2000 after they had deposit. I requested a refund and they were going to overnight deposit refund and didn't get it back for over a week till I posted on YouTube. also salesman completely lied to me sent me a picture of a trailer and said it was the color I was trying to order, then I saw one of renown videos and saw the actual color I was trying to order that was actually the right color read more

I called Renown Cargo Trailers and spoke with John (JD) who was polite and returned my call promptly when trying to make a sell. I was promised the trailer would be completed at the end of September 2023. After a couple weeks talking we pulled the trigger on a concession trailer order and I paid a little over $14k deposit and trailer was over $63k total and trailer was delivered 6 weeks late. John (JD) stated the trailer will be built through Rock Solid and Renown Trailers sublets the concession buildout to Stalvey's (Stalvey's Heating & Air) for the build out. I was promised by John (JD) at Renown that Stalvey's is the place to have the work done because they do top quality work and it's worth the wait. For this build I was advised by John (JD) that a CAD drawing was the way to go to make sure everything fits so I agreed to it and I paid for it and only a few things held true to the drawing so it was a waste of money. During this build I was lied to multiple times and upon delivery of the trailer I was advised by the delivery driver the trailer had a blowout on the way and I suspect from Renown's sublet driver stating he was pulling the trailer above 80MPH for an extended period of time. Also after receiving the trailer the serving windows are too high, front sheet metal has unnecessary holes and needs to be replaced from where Sammy at Stalvey's installed the propane tank rack in the wrong spot and moved it and now the rack has unnecessary holes in the rack that was filled with sealer. The ice/water dispenser was put in last and blocked my sink and door on sink counter from opening, none of the doors on the cabinets are properly aligned, generator box was built incorrectly and with out a floor and also hit my trucks rear bumper on right turns, Sinks were not polished, freezer and cooler was damaged from Stalvey's. Counter tops has scratches and dings, TV shadow box was built without access to remove it. Had a leak that I had to fix, Side entry door lock cylinder fell out when I put the key in it and it took 3 weeks to get the correct handle that I put in. Holes in floor that were not sealed from pipes being cut through the floor. Dents in cooler and freezer from a table that was left loose because Sammy at Stalvey's stated he wasn't sure if it would fit after I sent all dimensions to him. They also installed incorrect gas pressure regulator that i had to pay almost $700 to correct. Work was subpar at best and I had somethings corrected @ $1700 and Renown and Stalvey's refuses to pay. They wanted to come to TN to get the trailer and take it back for some corrections but why would I let a hack work on it again as they had their shot and work is pitiful and not what I paid for. Also at the end of the build John (JD) stated they no longer use Stalvey's and have found a new company to do their concession builds due to too many problems with Sammy not being truthful. I advise anyone looking to buy a trailer to search elsewhere. I guess we will have to let legal decide on this one. read more

We did a lot of searching for a trailer from New Mexico and ended up buying from Renown and picking the trailer up in Georgia. All went very well and they gave us the customized trailer we needed and was the best price overall we could find. The trailer was on time and looked very nice. We got several compliments from people we know who use/own trailers and they thought it was well built. The semi-screwless panels makes a big difference in how nice it looks. We drove it back without a problem and all is holding up well. Some specifics and hints on the trailer itself since this was our first enclosed car hauler. Dual axles are harder to back up than a single which I was reasonably good at. We upgraded to the torsion axles and they were very smooth (nothing moved around in the trailer over the +1000 miles of bumps). They do allow the wheels to spread/tilt like it was not straight so don't get worried like I did the first time seeing it. We got the stabilized jacks that fold in the back. The trailer is generally very low so the jacks don't drop unless the front is tilting down a good bit or unless you are a slope or the jacks are over a dip/hole. We got the extra bar across the side door for security and it is worth it, as the door lock seems weak and even if it holds I suspect that it is a temptation to try breaking in. The car was easy to get in. The trailer is low, with a fold down door, the slopped section at the back and extra wooded flap all make a long gentle slant. We used a pulley to get the car in with little effort. We can't thank the folks at Renown enough - they really helped make the decision on what we ordered and helped at the factory pick up which took about an hour. They were really wonderful to work with and communicated well long distance. The 2020 Rock Solid Cargo 8.5x16 TA came with all the features they said. I added some reflective tape around the edge since the lights are small and not extremely bright. 16' is the minimum for a car! Otherwise, this was an excellent purchase. read more
